Jogs especially the last gen two strokes are super common in new Zealand, only problem I have with jogs is that installing bigger carbs can be a bit of challenge due to room
i can def see that being an issue, it’s a tight fit for the carb!
with a voca manifold and polini 28mm fits perfect!
yes as knallerttuning-dk9666 is saying it is possible, you can get a manifoldt to point the carb forward between your legs and then you can have a bigger one on. The yamaha jog is very popular in denmark@@MOPBOYZ

I used to have a keihin 30mm on my old jog with no fitment issues at all. With a little modification to the inlet something as big as a bing 36mm carb will fit in there too.
No matter what you do, DO NOT change the engine on the jog. They come stock with the minarelli short block, which means the space from the front wheel to the back is very short. This makes it extremely easy to wheelie. Some cvt work and it's just powerwheelie with stock exhaust, carb and cylinder. With a 70cc it rides so smoothly. I had one a little while ago, it's on my channel if you wanna see how it looks, but that thing was just mint. If you change the engine it will be super hard to wheelie and half the fun if even.

I had two jogs one blue and one black. I bought from a guy in FL. I just cleaned the carbs and they were so fun.

I’m a elite guy but love the jogs I’d suggest getting the polini 360 intake helps a lot with fitting the bigger carb in , also do zuma front end and maybe rear but horizontal motor can make some good numbers!! With little mods our 3kj is absolute ripper

i have a 2006 yamaha jog r i have a 19mm carb with a 61 jet with a tecnigas exhust and it will cut out as you drive i will be full throttle going like 21mph and it will just cut power then regain it over and over again any help will be aprecheted ( i have also replaced the crank and everything from the vairaitaor foward )due to the crank nut striping the threads
ive got a gy6. it has a 70 kit and polini variator, i was thinking clutch or carb next haha. love the vids man!!!

Nice video😊 but i have a Question i have a MBK BOOSTER but it was running good till i left it sit for 2 days and it won't start i checkt the spark plug and its not the problem i bhought a new coil stil nothing i don't know whats the problem it think it's the black box or is it an problem in the engine PLEASE i need your help if you know please make a video or just comment❤ Thank you very much!

In Puerto Rico, in this condition the Yamaha Jog is valued almost at $5,000+. Right now One is selling near my workplace for $4,000. 😢 0 paperwork. It breaks my heart.

Love your videos I have a razz same as your jog but I bought it for cheap about a year ago but haven’t had the time and money it needs a new piston and cylinder but I can’t complain I even got the title👍🏻 I’ll be watching so I can do the same to mine! Mopboys for life 🤙🏻

Ehat dont you have mbk nitros in the states?? And for the yamaga jog i would say go for an top speed build cause those short minarally engines is able the do so speed if you allow it
Would love nothing more than to see you go all out and make something like you haven't before so get the long stroke crank like a 45x90 and a 90 kit or 100fast and make an absolute beast out of that thing trust me will not be regretted
Jogs are fun for stunts mine has 70cc ported kit exaust variator and new springs 21mm delorto carb whit malossi filter pod its good but you can also get a advanced key for the stator its made by tnt I think it advances the timing a little bit but makes it ride better

Jog ftw. The 3kj is a good platform for a build. I got a jog aprio from Japan makes power easy you just need to get a aftermarket cdi to get past the rev limiter they have. Not sure if the us models are the same
I have an '01 Honda Elite SR that I bought for $20 two years ago. It's hit mechanically but it has all the bodywork in decent shape. I've slowly been gathering the parts needed to fix it, but I'm broke so it's taking a while. The last thing I got was a TWH 48mm cylinder kit to replace the scored stocker. Hoping to get the scooter built this winter so it'll be ready for spring

@@MOPBOYZ thanks. I wonder if the Jog engine has factory trenched cases and angled reed block like the Vino? I've got a junk '03 Vino that I also bought for $20. The reed petals are way bigger than Zuma engines too

I got one from the same year and colour, but the front, the rear lights and the panel are different from what we got here in Brazil, i find that really interesting. Also they are really popular for tunning here, we normally use a Yamaha RD135 carburator and the Malossi/Eurocilindro big block kit's. I'm anxious to see the development of your project, have a great time!

I had one of these when living in Australia. It is still better than most of the mopeds today. It averaged 46mph top speed +- 15mph bearing in mind I weigh in heavy. It was a fun bike and very practical. Good luck with your purchase.

I found an elite for $650 in my area and was planning to buy it, I just sold something and was going to buy it. I honestly wanted to buy a new exhaust for it since the listing shows a massive dent in it. Hopefully it doesn’t have any major issues
Wish I had a jog to mess with we rarely have um in hawaii, but love the stock style of it and it has many varieties of aftermarket parts for this bike a bit pricey but well worth it, nice bike man keep up the content

Something you should do is getting the European handle shield and light housing headlight and turn light they are much nicer and pretty

It is worth it as an adult. As a 13 year old, I night a 1994 in the same colors for $400. LOVED that thing. If I could one local, I would buy it.

How do you feel about the high weel scooters such as the scarabeo or liberty which came in horizontal minarelli and piaggio hyper 2 configs

@@MOPBOYZ i personally prefer them over the f12 and derbi gp1 because they ride like butter and the combination of high ride height and big rims makes some of the most stable wheelies thats why i got a 2012 scarabeo with a piaggio engine like your gp1 "mine ofc isnt RC one" yours is sick
2fast 100 cc would be awesome too see on it, they run very well on Yamaha jog’s or if you wanna continue using 70cc’s try using Malossi 70cc MHR it also crazy with Yamaha. Once saw a 2 cylinder 100cc 2fast Yamaha Jog. But up to what you prefer! Mild or Wild is always what you personally like.

@@sub2mee842 Doesn’t really matter who said it first, I personally think Yamaha Jog’s are a great way to make a machine that can run very fast. But there is always the other mopeds of fx. Hiper Motors which are Piaggio Zip, Stalker, Nrg, Typhoon and many more. Those are the ones with most power within them.

Perfect pick up scenario where it's worth paying a pretty penny. It's also the exact jog I've wanted since day 1. I've only had 1 chance to scoop one, and it got away from me. I'd say build it to be fast, and beat on some elites. For the giveaway I have an elite 😉

Gotta make a drag race jog with the cylinder from the f12 , and the belts are a tiny bit smaller than bugeys. Im building a couple of vinos and they use the same style engine but with a factory trenched case the 5bm. But the jogs and vinos boogy
Gy6 but wish I had an elite. Super expensive on Maui and not sure if it’s worth shipping.

The jogs have a short case horizontal just required different belt then regular zuma horizontal
fire. the jog and vino cases have a factory trrench done to the cases that the horizontal minarellis dont.

How about if you have a Tomos A55
i would say wild setup because yamaha jog's and pgo comet's are very light and easy to tune and that makes it very fun
i have had around 30 jogs now and plz get an eu style headset for it. it looks so much better.
Got a 94’ elite just finishing up refurbishing need that belt and that brake for my quick stroker elite 😂 Also built the jog my buddy’s got one they’re fun to build and a bunch of parts of ali express that work for it real fun to build 🤙🏽🤙🏽

I have both a Peugeot v-click with a 150gy6 and a Honda elite both really fun bikes to drive but I use the elite to go to work and back and I lost my airfilter box a couple days back🥲
Hi, i heard u talk about maybe getting a yamaha aerox, im from the netherlands and i have one that u can have for free the engine is missing the carb and clutch but the plastics and everthing else is complete. And i am willing to cut the frame up for u and dissasemble it for u. It was my first scooter project so its pretty build already, not anything fancy tho but it had a dr70cc cilinder a malossi multivar and a pipe i even have some spare plastics.

Cool but i feel like you have to get another headset like from the jog As or Fs. And I have a Aprilia sonic which is the same motor and it is a fantastic wheelie bike. So I imagine it is kinda the same with the jog

A good alternative to the Yamaha Aerox that was sold here in the United States is one of its competitors in the same class, Aprilia, SR50.
Then, again, the Malaguti F12 is already super similar to the Yamaha Aerox, and would pretty much end up being the same bike.
Yes, I have an Sr50. Aerox and SR50 are quite similar in structure and engine

yes in germany parts for the jog are easy to find but i did not know that the US dont have the aerox
Down where i live theyre atleast 2500$ used and basically new ones are about 4-6k
If it uses the 1st gen horizontal engine it's gonna be fast when tuned! 1 of these was my 1st legal bike on the road, now I have 2 last gen jog rr liquid cooled
Nice Jog! but get a Jog as/fs headset for it. I think it fits right over, and it looks sooo much better
