2nd combo is not bad not bad :D so many plays can be made from there. and so many tech choices can be decided to main. the field for our water deck is wide open! Creativity can rise! Although sadly we have the new max C, D shifter and droll & lock bird so im focussing more on short combo strings, weakers boards but more consistently to make by not having many bricks in the deck but also instead have more anti-handtrap. Ive got the fundamental goal of the deck layed out. and I think that is the way forward considering the meta and direction yugioh is going. its just a matter of fine tuning the inbetween to decide what combos I am left with .. aka able to make. Cool video! greetings Sirdeepfry.
At the very end of your last combo (before the video ends) you link 2 Primadona and LeVirtue into mermail link2 (or any link 2, Eria for example) To trigger primadona eff in graveyard, and return your opponent banished card to their deck, so the card won't get back to his hand ~
@@wesmoorer3638 depending on your deck choices, you can extend further. I’m still playing around with the deck profile and “tech choices”. I’m going to post some more combos later this week
The first combo is really good but you need another water to discard in hand and keeping Abyssteus in hand instead of SS it with the new mermail. If not you aren't Nib proof.
@@Luxren I think its still a -1, mr.crowley is right in saying you need another water in hand for this to be nib proof. which is easy. no problems whatsoever.
@@DeepfriedVampire no you don't, the combo gets you an excess of waters, your first sea serpent search off the dragoons discarded by pike is flexible, the armoured shark searched by the rank 5 is another free one There is no -1 in the combo even being nib proof
@@HectorGonzalez-bb7bm lol I just replied to your comment on the other video. They’re both dragon shield. Side deck is still in the works. I mainly build it for my locals, but I can post that too
@@neogalactic1195 lol it wouldn’t feel right not having the mermail QCR with the dragoons in the deck. I’ve had all the old cards since they came out. It’s my favourite deck
My only points with Mermail players: 1. If you're running XYZ Armor Fortress and Armor Shark, you may as well run Full Amored Dark Knight Lancer. His effect goes perfectly with Mermail King. Water monster gets sent to grave, Mermail King effect activates, eqiup Abyss spell to Mermail King, Lancer effect activates. He will also recycle your Armor cards. Full Armored XYZ, Armored XYZ, Full Armored Utopic Ray Lancer, and Reincarnate Unveill Mail are life savers. 2. What happens when your opponent drops Droll? You basically auto lose if you don't have that one copy Call by the haunted which statistically you won't have it at the exact moment. Coelacanth allows you to play through Droll. Also helps if you brick and only have Abyssrhine. Tribute her off, summon Coelacanth and make Bahamut, Toad, and Adamancipator. You can link off the Coelacanth and Bahamut for either Abysslacia or Coral Anemone. With the new Armor and shark cards, to the new Abysshrine effect allowing you to summon Ceolacanth in Mermails. It's clear Konami wants Mermail players running the Armor engine, with a XYZ heavy extra deck. But few are leaning into it.
@@martonyomchale342 if my opponent main decks droll, I lose. Just like if they drop shifter. That’s just how it goes I side deck shifter and droll for crossout targets

These are all just open gamestate, no interruption.
You wouldn't need another water in hand as teus replaces the water it discards when it's summoned from hand
