The beginning and ends of workpiece being gouged slightly more. It's fine though, I have mine now and I can't find any issues with it apart from the fence being awkward to get exactly 45
I have one exactly the same with a SIP logo its a 01344, only about four years old hasn't done much work. Went to use it and the flat belts stretched to hell. can't get a belt from SIP discontinued. Is there an up grade to the multi ridge belt and an matching pullies I wonder. when it was working the machine was good, no complaints,
good video, Looks good quality. how do you find the planer now you have had some time to play with it? Do you get much snipe? and were the in and out feed tables straight? thanks, josh
This video is good, but it also is missing a VERY important step: adjusting the outfeed table ! It has 2 screws that can be used to adjust it to be in plan with the infeed table. But it's not 100% precise. This is because both tables are made out of soft aluminum that will waire down in time.
It has arrived today and it was broken out of the box. The riverts that hold 4 angles of the base where chopped of sheer force from the weight of the motor. Basically the motor is the most heavy piece of this machinery and it is pulling downwards with the gravitation constantly forcing the base to skew (should be welded together in my opinion). Moreover the bottom of the motor is lower than the base so that even if the whole thing sits in the box it rests on the motor. Various cast aluminium pieces did not alight perfectly. You could see some gaps where to 2 molds of aluminium were meant to join together. Some other elements that were screwed in place looked like are out of alignment. Like the device is manufactured in great hurry by a mad man. The sticker says all (Germany, MADE IN CHINA) ... I regret buying.
You must understand that this machine is not very expensive for this class and mostly all machines what is made of aluminium have the same problems with alightments...for small shop this machine is perfect and quality of wood what I get was good. It is possible that some of Metabo products is made in China and that really means lower quality.
I would say that this machine is very good i,m happy with quality what i get..of course there is some things what i do not like so much - when you need to use planer there is switch under feed table which you must hold all the time and that take a while to do that
Hi! I recently bought an hc 260 c, three phase version, but mine seems to have a problem with the feeding mechanism, thee feeding rolers work just fine but it doesn't feed the wood if i don't help it by pushing or pulling, if you know what can be done please help me, Thank!!!
negru silviu Hello! Metabo as you know give push stick with this machine so this problem time to time can happen but there is solution for this - i use candle - just rub it to feeding table a little and this will work as lubricant. After that you shoud not have any problem with feeding your timber through your metabo thicknesser
wrong .. useless .. don't watch this for 'how to do' ... took bolts and plates off to fit infill table, not needed as just loosen and it slides up, and then no fitting of adjustor screw for infill table 😞no way of fine adjustment in the future ... stopped there as no point in going on.
Thanks very much for the review ... and ... a few helpful words here and there would be great. But as I said before ... thanks

Hope in next review video try to say something!
This looks like a cousin of my INCA jointer-planer. I wonder if it is and would Metabo parts work on an INCA?

at the moment no issues....by the way which part you describe as snipe?

So this happened to you as well? And also if the blades are dull it can cause this problem? Thank you for your time.

negru silviu Almost all thicknesers with 2 feeding rollers at the top of the knives has the same problem - you need to lubricate the feeding table
its exact an old Elektra Beckum
Not a very good review

не волнуйся ... я знаю свое ремесло
Not one word. Don't call this a review....
Maybe the worst review I've ever seen. I think you actually have to speak for it to count as a review.
