      A tail heavy plane IMPOSSIBLE.
      TO FLY.
      Why satans boys make tail heavy "super" cars. Ferrari, Porche, lol they tail heavy &spin out.
      Airplanes can land 50-60 mph on2 a canopy of trees preserving people alive. But Reptilian engineer them2land 3 times faster. This begs the question...why isn't the take-off routine automated? From an outsiders prospective, it's seems like it could be the easiest part of the flight that can be done by a computer.
    You could use a system similar to what's used for landing.

      @@se-kmg355 It is mostly automated. Autopilot and auto landing. It seems like auto-takeoff would probably completely remove pilot error of tail strikes.
      There has to be a reason why it isn't automated by now, but I just don't know why.

    • @se-kmg355
      @se-kmg355 Год назад +1

      @@RK-kn1ud It would not necessarily eliminate it since it can be caused by several factors, that are mentioned in the video. If you have incorrect take-off speeds due to calculation errors or weight errors. You could receive a gust of wind that would effect the pitch. I know Airbus has a system like this for the A350 due to low visibility. But it needs to be tested and certified. It is lots of work and money for a system like this to be incorporated.

    • @GermanGuy007
      @GermanGuy007 6 месяцев назад

      @@RK-kn1udThe autopilot is to a pilot what a dishwasher is to a cook. It relieves you of the most basic tasks. To fly an airplane at altitude is the easy part and not relevant to the outcome of a flight, yet it can become boring and uses mental capacity and attention that can be spend elsewhere much better. In the early days there were two pilots, a flight engineer, a navigator and even a radio operator in the cockpit. Although technological advancements reduce the workload, in a cockpit of two the autopilot is desperately needed. What happens if one pilot passes out? Happens every couple of weeks somewhere.
      Autoland is used mostly for actual CAT III conditions and with Low Visibility Procedures (LVP) in place. If not, an Autoland is extremely risky, but LVP extremely reduces the capacity of an airport. An Autoland in CAT III conditions is rare and the most stressful thing for a pilot, except emergencies maybe.

    OK, so the new format of YT - in which it now has *separate* categories for long form videos & Shorts - sucks!
    The main reasons are as follows:
    1) It is impossible to see at one glance what's new & what's not. One has to toggle between these two 'categories' to see that.
    A user (both casual or subscribed to a channel) will/can not see at a glance what's new, and has to manually click on these 'categories' to try & find out what's new.
    This is irritating both for the casual user, and esp. so for the subscribed user, as this wastes time -- I'm not sure this will help with visibility as people will likely not want to do that...
    2) The Shorts category does not show when the short was released. This 'time of release' function is there for the long form videos, but somehow, irritatingly, missing for the Shorts.
    One could argue that most people release shorts more often than long form videos, hence, this function/info is more important for Shorts, otherwise people would get confused about what they have seen & what they haven't; what's new & what's old (esp. as people change their titles all the time!). I don't think this confusion & sorting through a 'catalogue' (or trying to remember what they have & haven't seen) is going to positively affect users.
    I understand why this feature may have been added by YT (& even content creators might think that this is a good idea) -- i.e. in order to effect more clicks on more number of videos (esp. shorts) -- but, IMO, this is very likely to backfire for the reasons mentioned above.
    All in all, these changes are a pain in the butt for most users -- both casual & those who are subscribed to a channel -- esp. more so for the latter -- and I think people who create *both* long form videos *and* Shorts will lose out the most in this 'click-the-right-category-and-then-try-and-sort-things-out game'...!
    People who create only/mostly Shorts are next to lose out.
    If a content creator only/mainly creates long form videos, they're least likely to be adversely affected by this 'upgrade'.
    I think content creators should take cognizance of these facts, and realise that these changes are not really in their favour (even though it may seem so peripherally/initially). They should petition YT to revert back to the old format -- both for the users' viewing ease (which is the whole point., I'd imagine!), and for their own channel visibility.
    Cheers!

    • @Titovic79
      @Titovic79 Год назад +1

      That would create drag and it adds weight to the aircraft. A light tailstrike normally isn't dangerous although it will need to be inspected and repaired. A hard tailstrike would need a complex and heavy gear to absorb the impact, so it's just better to properly train the pilots not to have tailstrikes

    • @se-kmg355
      @se-kmg355 Год назад

      Some aircraft had it, like the Concorde. But it adds to the complexity since it need to be serviced and maintained, also a mechanism to extend and retract would add weight, so it is just easier to rather have a plate and sensor in the back.

    • @IlluminatiBG
      @IlluminatiBG Год назад

      @@Titovic79 I see. However, I do not see the drag as a problem, as wheels are retracted once airborne. Also I am not sure the amount of force the wheel need to carry, but intuitively, it does not need to be as strong as the main landing gear. The gear does not need to touch the ground, it just allow the plane tail to roll on the ground once certain amount of maximum rotation is reached.
      But as @SE-KMG and you mentioned, it would probably add weight, price, maintenance work. It still could be worth it, if the average cost and frequency of tail strikes exceeds the cost of having such wheel or there is no other reason for avoiding that. But it seems planes had this before, so it might have not been viable?

    • @kilianortmann9979
      @kilianortmann9979 Год назад

      Most aircraft have a tail skid with a replaceable crush section or at least some reinforced skin in the area where a tail strike would occur. In most cases that seems to be the happy medium of weight and complexity while still protecting the air frame somewhat.

      Some of them do. Concorde had a little wheel on the tail for this . 737 has a tail skid which is a sort of slightly raised rectangle of compressible fibre glass type material with a little gauge window which if the tail strikes the ground, it will crush down a bit and the gauge shows that the tail has been hit and shows how bad it was hit. Then the engineers can know whether it needs fixed or not. It’s a green line which turns red as the tail is hit off the runway . And if it’s all red then it means it’s more severe etc, mentour has a video on this I believe. It’s quite a cool device

      @@vanpenguin22 no problem :) you have a good idea about the wheel also and I’m surprised it isn’t way more common as well

    It would be interesting to see what a normal full flight looks like in the cockpit. Because all simulator videos are about things that normally don't happen. As a Passenger, you don't see what the Pilots are doing. Do you sometimes fly without ever touchhing the Joke? ONly programming the autopilot and the autopilot flies from take off to landing? How much can the Autopilot do?

      Nop, we always take off manually and we almost always land manually.

      @@MentourNow Understand. So the Autopilot is mainly used during flight and landing with Autopilot on is just optional.

    Is there a little wheel on the tail or a piece of sacrificial material? Or just plain plane?

      Most have a collapsing piece that will show the mechanic or next pilot that there was a tail strike hard enough to require internal frame inspection.The problem is not scraping the skin, the problem is impact and frame bending.
