If you want a tricky character, don't play Jiyan. Jiyan exists for scrubs like me who play on mobile and suffer from chronic skill issues. Kuro made him for folks like me, so we too could try the end game without rage quitting. :) :P
I like him but sometimes it feels like his set up is too long and repetitive. Changli feels so much more fun to play and has more freedom to do whatever you want rather than repeat the same cycles again and again
I mean, I would argue that Encore, Havoc Rover, and especially Jinhsi all have low skill floors as well, but yeah, Jiyan is on another level. That said... I'm curious. Why Yingyang? Doesn't Jiyan already have enough CC on his own? ^^;

Just wait till they have character awakenings for older units. It's not guaranteed, but Kuro did it for PGR to somewhat offset heavy powercreep. 2026 Jiyan's resonance skill will be able to do your taxes.
We also have a canon phenomenon in WuWa, which increases the power of the resonator called "overclocking", so they might use it. I hope they won't take the "no buff policy" from Hoyo.
it's inevitable that Jiyan will get a buff since he still has a "past" that needs further explanation down the line, and when "that" character appears in the story as a playable character or boss, he will need to be buff in order to keep up or at least be in the same realm of power (not just in lore-wise kekw)

The game just eventually hard countered his abilities (somewhat). It really makes sense to have a character like that on the first banner.
We already have another character like Venti. In fact 2 characters: Jean and Kazuha. Their pulling power isn't as great as Venti's but they get the job done quite well for their weaker grouping capabilities. But Kazuha also has the damage buffing mechanism, that's why he's top tier now.

I'm very specifically referring to how Venti trivialized the game by doing everything necessary in a braindead way. Jean was there and was in no way a substitute for Venti, so I imagine we're talking about different things. Kazuha needs to be on field to pull and never does as much damage as Venti did. He's top tier but it's a different tier and that's why he's useful now when the game has pretty much countered Venti. I'm not just referring to a character having the ability to pull enemies.

During WuWa launch, my friend who also plays Genshin+Star Rail warned me not to roll Jiyan because "he could not see how to scale his damage further, he will be forgettable like Diluc". However, the more looking into his sequences for further investment, the more powercrept proof he becomes. At S3, he can secure his own Crit rate and Crit damage to near perfection. At S5, his multiplier during multihit liberation power expands a lot. At S6, his first liberation nuke even surpass standard Jinhsi's big nuke, and he continues with his over the top combo for 14 seconds. He is definitely not a bad investment if you really like his design during rerun.
Well he might get power crept in the future, but power creeping only takes into account numbers, jiyan is brain dead easy and parries everything, you just have to hit. I don't think a lot of units are going to power creep that haha
thing is with wuwa, powercrept and high sequences doesnt mash well together. like yea other s6 can become stronger but the game doesnt require that. the most common comparisons we will get that would matter in terms of powercreeping is s0 vs s0. so yea his later sequences might be noticeable increases (unlike other genshin cons) but once we start talking about s3+, we also stop caring about powercreep. unless we get some whale content that are not possible for s0 units to clear/contest like the highest division in pgr

Some games, I may or may not hesitate to recommend, depending on the whole roster. (5 years ago I played Illusion Connect. That game doesn't treat old units that well. With how WuWa design the kit of characters so far, it feels a bit safer, but of course, we can and should remain to see future units if this holds well or not.
Really bro, comparing s6 jiyan to s0 jinhsi? Even at s6 jiyan's first liberation burst wont surpass jinhsi big burst at full stack. Jinhsi at s6 (which u should compare her s6 to jiyan's s6) increase her multiplier per stack even further.
I love him and I think even if he ends up falling off in toa or against holograms, he's still great for open world exploration and farming bc of his aoe. Honestly don't regret pulling him one bit.
as a Jiyan main, all I can say is he’s honestly really fun to play with especially since I don’t have a lot of characters at the moment (I haven’t been pulling bc I’m waiting for scar and Zhezhi) will he eventually fall behind other future units maybe, but will I still play as him yes

Rover, Jiyan and Calcharo were my main team at the very beginning. Rover and Jiyan were almost always on the field, Calcharo coming out for bosses. Jiyan was actually in my main team until yesterday. I will always love him. He carried my team far.
Seeing how pgr treated it's gen 1 characters and powercrept them to oblivion with gen 2 characters, I don't think they're going to turn a new leaf, the powercreep is inevitable
Not very advisable, i mean, we are nearly on our 5th limited and 3 more to come, and 1 of them is a gun limited, which might be available after 2-3 month. It's best just to use the free Electro til his ult is similar to Jiyan enhancing basic attack

i main jiyan so i can truthfully tell you that all my friends are terrified of my power because within a month of getting him i got him to 63% crit rate and 244% crit dmg and now he sweeps absolutely anything. its very fun when you just *ult* and everything around you dies
On par with Changli? Jiyan is way better than her. Individually, we already know he's better since he's a main dps and she's a sub dps. As for teams, I don't get why people keep saying Changli is so good or whatnot. Like yeah, sure, I have her too and she deals a lot of damage. Along with Chixia (Chixia/Changli is better than Encore/Changli BTW), she definitely does a lot of damage. But it ain't anything compared to my Jiyan team. They both have almost same stats BTW if Changli's doesn't have better ones. I've noticed that Changli/Chixia does overall more damage in a single rotation (only by a bit though) but takes a lot more time than Jiyan's rotations so Jiyan's team gets more overall DPS. This is mainly due to Changli being an on-field sub-dps and Chixia taking longer field time while being a 4-star main dps for the team. Of course, you can do the Changli/Encore quickswap tech for better performance but even then it would only be a little better due to Encore not being able to fully utilize Changli's outro buff. So yeah, stop overrating hot female characters, you damn simps. (I'm a MAN BTW and I'm STRAIGHT TOO before you say anything).

OMG same, even there was a time where i HAD to use him dispute owning Jinhsi in the open world elite bosses because he was just that good but now he has his own team and same for Jinhsi i use them here and there.

kuro releases easy to play characters from time to time. Lee Hyperreal in PGR was consider one of those "turn off your brain" kinda character too. so we will see some more but rarely for sure.

Not the character I desperately wanted but couldn’t get even after 158 pulls… so I’m waiting for the rerun with a vengeance 😅 (Lost the 50/50 to Verina and got Mortefi to S6, so it wasn’t a complete loss :)
I pulled him knowing 1.0 male dps will probably get powercrept really easily. Because he lets me face roll on mobile. Even if he falls off of end game content in the future, he will be the easy daily farming character for a looog time.
Changli + encore swap cancel is 2nd coziest but you have to slot verina. Verina is s broken support but she shines the best with duo dps. Jiyan can still slap with mortefi + baizhu. He doesn’t really need verina. He’s so f2p and skill friendly but he’s less fun. Changli is beat played with encore & verina. She’s expensive as a dps. I’m lucky I have her best teammates because it’s so fun playing characters with no downtime! I sometimes forget to swap into verina because changli/encore’s skill,forte,liberation is always up! And with swap cancelation you basically rarely take damage becuz encore is ranged and changli has gap closers in her kit. That means you always dodge and always hit! Anyone playing changli as a hypercarry and not duo dps with encore is insane!
Too early to say my friend. We might get a version of him but skill focused instead of Ult. Remember Danjin? who has high risk high gain, with HP consumption, without nuke to Changli, who has high gain, no HP consumption, with nuke. Don't underestimate Gen 2 characters, right now we are in Gen 2 (starting version 1.1)
Jiyan feels good to play, you actually feel invincible and unstoppable in his Ult. His aura in the story is so well matched with the gameplay, which is good. (He isn't actually invincible though lol and doesn't have as high damage as characters like Jinhsi)
Green+black color theme? Have a Dragon? Dual wield big ass weapons? Looks menacing but actually a cinamon roll? Military general doctor? Got one of the broken ass supports? WELL MY FRIEND LET ME SHOW YOU THE CHARACTER I DID NOT REGRET AS F2P GETTIN E1S2 (that straight back to back on his weapon was goddam nice) JIYAN The only bad part about him is that goddamn monkey, 100 defeated, 2 crit rate, and only one had crit rate substat (yeah, he needs crit rate, a LOT), but thats just skill issue don't mind it (after camillya, if he gets a rerun, i plan to max him)
He is a very good character for all kind of content on the game. I main him and I could win the 4th phase of ToA with him without any element advantage or buff. His damage is not that low.
Honestly, as a mobile player who mains: Jiyan, Jinhsi, and Spectro MRover... yeah this video checks out. (My Jiyan team is suboptimal because I like Aalto, and Mortefi coordinate attacks help Jinhsi so...) I'd use Jinhsi more in the overworld if her second floating stance didn't make dodging feel so off. She's so pretty, but the animation messes with my timings. Rover and Jiyan do not have this issue for me :')) ...eventually gonna main my Lingyang. I'll get around to it after Xiangli Yao probably

My Changli is S4R1 and also does less dmg than my Jinshi at S0R1, when Jinshi is fully stacked she does so much dmg compared to everyone else is not even funny
@gwanetayla7683 it's not RNG. Jinhsi was made that way. She is a full blown dps, where Changli can be main or sub. Jinhsi has skills to obliterate everything solo, Changli's play focuses more on teamwork.

i think that this is the nature of gacha games, why? coz a lot of them starts with simple + easy to use characters, i mean look at star rail with seele+hi3 with the first released char, let alone genshin, and look where are we now, it is just to test the waters and to make the game feels good for the casual players, and when they get addicted the the game, the devs will start to flex, but i also think that wuwa will make a new approach,in temrs of the hoyo games, they are always limited by the mobile players, but the revenue for wuwa in mobile is not in the hoyo lvls, so that may result in them doing something crazy which is focusing on the the console and pc players more that the hoyo games do, that will allow them to do a lot of complex characters with goood fighting styles and flexable cambos.
Butchering names here but Jiyan is more powerful than Jangli and on par or slightly weaker than Xinxi. Jangli's kit already says it all. She works with a sub dps while Jiyan soaks up all your support buffs and bulldozes his enemies into oblivion.

She is litrally an Pyro counterpart of yinlin... being an hyper buffer for your main dps... be gratefull that she does this much damage... cause if scar is a Pyro dps... it's going to be over for other reams

Mortephi half concerto charge -> Verine full concerto -> mortephi -> Jiyan E Q -> Mortephi E Ult Q -> Jiyan Ult Its way more satisfying than you think, don't think so negatively just cause some characters rotations take skill instead of the onfield window of the character needing skill. Jinhsi Is one you will like if you love simple rotations and gotta dodge better during her short onfield window.

Not very advisable, i mean, we are nearly on our 5th limited and 3 more to come, and 1 of them is a gun limited, which might be available after 2-3 month. It's best just to use the free Electro til his ult is similar to Jiyan enhancing basic attack
@@gwanetayla7683 well jiyan has some solid use case in my opinion. Like playing on pc it might not feel like it but as much as I have played in mobile, jiyan feels important. I have played on jinshi , Calcharo and jiyan in my acc and I prefer jiyan in mobile

i main jiyan so i can truthfully tell you that all my friends are terrified of my power because within a month of getting him i got him to 63% crit rate and 244% crit dmg and now he sweeps absolutely anything. its very fun when you just *ult* and everything around you dies

On par with Changli? Jiyan is way better than her. Individually, we already know he's better since he's a main dps and she's a sub dps. As for teams, I don't get why people keep saying Changli is so good or whatnot. Like yeah, sure, I have her too and she deals a lot of damage. Along with Chixia (Chixia/Changli is better than Encore/Changli BTW), she definitely does a lot of damage. But it ain't anything compared to my Jiyan team. They both have almost same stats BTW if Changli's doesn't have better ones. I've noticed that Changli/Chixia does overall more damage in a single rotation (only by a bit though) but takes a lot more time than Jiyan's rotations so Jiyan's team gets more overall DPS. This is mainly due to Changli being an on-field sub-dps and Chixia taking longer field time while being a 4-star main dps for the team. Of course, you can do the Changli/Encore quickswap tech for better performance but even then it would only be a little better due to Encore not being able to fully utilize Changli's outro buff. So yeah, stop overrating hot female characters, you damn simps. (I'm a MAN BTW and I'm STRAIGHT TOO before you say anything).
changli factually has a little more damage in her current teams as a main dps and she still doesn't have her best team yet for qswap-dps

Jiyan was just a fine character and a good dps if you had him and didn't need to summon for Jinhsi for anyone who was making the choice whether to summon for Jinhsi or Chang-Li.

kuro releases easy to play characters from time to time. Lee Hyperreal in PGR was consider one of those "turn off your brain" kinda character too. so we will see some more but rarely for sure.

I pulled him knowing 1.0 male dps will probably get powercrept really easily. Because he lets me face roll on mobile. Even if he falls off of end game content in the future, he will be the easy daily farming character for a looog time.
Changli + encore swap cancel is 2nd coziest but you have to slot verina. Verina is s broken support but she shines the best with duo dps. Jiyan can still slap with mortefi + baizhu. He doesn’t really need verina. He’s so f2p and skill friendly but he’s less fun. Changli is beat played with encore & verina. She’s expensive as a dps. I’m lucky I have her best teammates because it’s so fun playing characters with no downtime! I sometimes forget to swap into verina because changli/encore’s skill,forte,liberation is always up! And with swap cancelation you basically rarely take damage becuz encore is ranged and changli has gap closers in her kit. That means you always dodge and always hit! Anyone playing changli as a hypercarry and not duo dps with encore is insane!

Jiyan feels good to play, you actually feel invincible and unstoppable in his Ult. His aura in the story is so well matched with the gameplay, which is good. (He isn't actually invincible though lol and doesn't have as high damage as characters like Jinhsi)

He is a very good character for all kind of content on the game. I main him and I could win the 4th phase of ToA with him without any element advantage or buff. His damage is not that low.

I'd use Jinhsi more in the overworld if her second floating stance didn't make dodging feel so off. She's so pretty, but the animation messes with my timings. Rover and Jiyan do not have this issue for me :'))

well knowing Kuro from pgr the only way for good old Jiyan is for them to introduce an areo character that does his shit but better next update for pgr global we will be getting a character that will finally replace the old dark attacker character, for now Jiyan will be good till the content becomes too hard for even a full areo team for him cannot handle and will need to get a new character to replace him

Guys am I trippin? I have a S3R1 Changli (89/283 crit) and I feel like my C0R1 Jinhsi (74/273) does more damage at Lvl 90 xD
My Changli is S4R1 and also does less dmg than my Jinshi at S0R1, when Jinshi is fully stacked she does so much dmg compared to everyone else is not even funny

@gwanetayla7683 it's not RNG. Jinhsi was made that way. She is a full blown dps, where Changli can be main or sub. Jinhsi has skills to obliterate everything solo, Changli's play focuses more on teamwork.

My initial thought was "oh probably Jinhsi was hitting crit more often than Chang Li." The game doesn't really have a game-changing QoL for Sequences other than giving the character slightly buff like resistant to interruption and Forte bar full off field, it is great but not really required. BTW crit hit change is RNG

i think that this is the nature of gacha games, why? coz a lot of them starts with simple + easy to use characters, i mean look at star rail with seele+hi3 with the first released char, let alone genshin, and look where are we now, it is just to test the waters and to make the game feels good for the casual players, and when they get addicted the the game, the devs will start to flex, but i also think that wuwa will make a new approach,in temrs of the hoyo games, they are always limited by the mobile players, but the revenue for wuwa in mobile is not in the hoyo lvls, so that may result in them doing something crazy which is focusing on the the console and pc players more that the hoyo games do, that will allow them to do a lot of complex characters with goood fighting styles and flexable cambos.
Butchering names here but Jiyan is more powerful than Jangli and on par or slightly weaker than Xinxi. Jangli's kit already says it all. She works with a sub dps while Jiyan soaks up all your support buffs and bulldozes his enemies into oblivion.

Its way more satisfying than you think, don't think so negatively just cause some characters rotations take skill instead of the onfield window of the character needing skill.
