I have enjoyed Chuck's talks for so many years. But just wanted to say I agree with his point that Father God, above all, wants us to trust Him. And as Chuck says so often, He finds a new way to ask the question, Do you trust Me? every day.
I went Septic in late October. I don't remember my days in ICU. I remember fighting my way out of a block of ice that was killing me (had Arctic Cat machine working on my 106+ fever and I thought I was in ice). My lactic acid level was of one who was working the muscles waaaaay over worked. I remember hearing a male voice. It simply said, "It is not your time yet; but, this time you are going to have to work very hard to get back. And I did. Do I know who's voice? No. I can tell you this, it was supernatural.

dear one, I am 64 and still asking God what my purpose is. I wasted my young years and am now bedridden...BUT...I am a prayer warrior and share videos such as this on facebook, hoping to reach the lost and teach those searching for answers. I also teach my husband what I learn and he is the one who talks to people out in the world. God will show you what He wants you to do. He is always talking to us. just be alert to anything that grabs your attention where you will say..i could do that. God bless you. I will keep you in my prayers
I think people over-think it -- if you've been a Christian for a while look back and recognize if there are things that have always been on your heart, or things you are passionate about - things you are drawn to, want to help and are able to help through the Spirit's prompting or enabling. The bible says things like "helps" and "hospitality" are a gift - but if people are always feeling inadequate because they are not missionaries in Africa, then they might miss what's right in front of them. Be faithful in the little things. God bless
Humbly, here is my own answer to "How do we find out our calling?" Answer: We find out our calling by the same means we find out _all_ spiritual truth, by the Holy Spirit, who makes spiritual truth known to us. So we know what our calling is, in the same way we know about sin and righteousness and the thoughts of God: by the Spirit, who gives us wisdom, knowledge and revelation. 1 Corinthians 2:12 "Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God." If we have been truly born of God, we will receive spiritual wisdom. This _can_ be imparted through prophecy or visions, but usually it is simply a direct knowledge which we receive by the Spirit. It is unfortunate that many Christians "choose their own" callings, following after callings they were not given by God. That is why we end up with so many false teachers in the church who were never called to teach in the first place. Note that a a man's calling may not just be "one role" or "one task", but several, perhaps combined or perhaps distinct. In my case, I received several callings, given to me by the Lord. They came to me as great burdens which were placed upon my heart. I have absolutely no choice but to follow those callings - everything within me tell me they are the will of God, and everything that has happened to me only serve to confirm this. Where there is calling, there is also gifting. If there is no gifting, there is no calling. The two go hand in hand. God will equip you, so if you are finding it difficult to fulfill your calling, that could be a sign that it is not your calling in the first place. Sometimes the calling we receive will align with the flesh, making use of personal history, skills, and resources which the Lord has put in place in our life ready for the calling. While other times, the calling will contradict the flesh - bringing us to do things which by our own skills would be impossible. If any man is worried about callings, and has not received a calling, and feels unsure about what the Lord wants him to do, my humble advice would be to assume the position of being an infant in Christ, and focus on personal growing rather than serving the Body. I spent years praying, studying the Bible, and growing spiritually before I was ready to start teaching. The Lord had much training to give me before I was ready. A final note: I am not associated with "church" and I do not operate in a "church". I reject most of what is known as "church". These days, the Body of Christ are few, and I mostly interact with my brothers online. I would not go near my local "church". And indeed local "churches" reject spiritual gifting and do not allow the Spirit to function in their midst - silencing church members and stifling the opportunity for prophecy. There has to be time in heaven otherwise how would there be silence for half an hour. I believe that time will be a tool instead of a master, but it will still exist. True, I had a dream of these white homes, row upon row of them; the mountains were so green and the sky so blue. The only thing was that the homes have no doors and someone came up to me and ask me how they look and shocked I told them' I don't know'.
I can't remember if this was brought up in this particular Q&A; but, I think so. It has to do with "How does God communicate to the prophets and Chuck answered by a couple of verses in scripture. I was just reading my Bible and read this in Deuteronomy 18:18. " I (God) will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will PUT MY WORDS IN his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him." Of course there are other ways God does this. However in this particular instance it sounds like God is doing this in 'real time.' Again, we're not told exactly how it's done. It could be that he hears 'words' in his head to speak. Or, just like the donkey and he opens his mouth and words come out. This happens with those who are demon possessed and the demon's actual voice is basically hear as it is not the real person's voice that is heard and these people are known NOT to say these kind of things that is being blurted out. A side note for Christians to be careful as to whom they think are giving us words in our minds: I don't believe that a Christian can be possessed but they can receive words in their minds that are of the devil and he will try to convince them that they are from the Lord. He becomes a so-called light to them. TEST the spirits my friends because there are many who are being deceived in this day -- in this season. They get words about when the rapture will be or when this or that will happen and post it to RUclips. The first time that are wrong which is a false prophecy, then they should NOT post on RUclips again and you should never watch them again unless they repent and ask for forgiveness and say they will start testing the spirits and talking to others about something they believe has come from the Lord.

On the issue of tattoos. It's one of 613 binding laws in the Torah, under the new covenant we *are not* required to keep all of these. Only the laws that are reiterated by Jesus or the Apostles are we required to keep, which are mostly summarised in the Noahide laws, given to Noah after the flood and affirmed by the Apostles in the book of Acts (Acts 15:29) as the binding law requirements under the new covenant: 1. Do not deny God (no idolatry). 2. Do not murder. 3. Do not steal. 4. Do not engage in sexual immorality. 5. Do not blaspheme. 6. Do not eat of a live animal (no eating flesh taken from an animal while it is still alive). 7. Establish courts and legal systems to ensure obedience of these laws. So, I disagree with Chuck, if you want a tattoo, and your reasons for wanting one are not about self-glorification there is no reason for a Christian to not have one. I would add the caveat that someone has mentioned, that tattoos are becoming very common now, we are becoming desensitised to the novelty of them so when the Mark of the Beast thing happens, it may be to many people "oh, just another tattoo".

Reading the Judges passage I can't see in the English translation what you say, it might be unpalatable, the event stated here in Scripture, but I think God was showing we shouldn't be hasty in our vows, which Jesus later clarified strongly in his teachings. Specifically we should let our Yes be Yes and No No, and we shouldn't rush into vow making before God. As it can have unintended consequences.

I have enjoyed Chuck's talks for so many years. But just wanted to say I agree with his point that Father God, above all, wants us to trust Him. And as Chuck says so often, He finds a new way to ask the question, Do you trust Me? every day.

I went Septic in late October. I don't remember my days in ICU. I remember fighting my way out of a block of ice that was killing me (had Arctic Cat machine working on my 106+ fever and I thought I was in ice). My lactic acid level was of one who was working the muscles waaaaay over worked. I remember hearing a male voice. It simply said, "It is not your time yet; but, this time you are going to have to work very hard to get back. And I did. Do I know who's voice? No. I can tell you this, it was supernatural.

I love watching these Q & As between Ron and Chuck....usually very informative and they break it down so its understandable.. however I have a question for Ron about the statement he made at the 49:30 mark regarding satan and the appointed time when he will be put into hell. just after that you said the idea of the millennium is not regarding Jesus' reign but satans time in hell instead...Ron, could you please expound on that as well as lead me to where you found the basis of this concept?

dear one, I am 64 and still asking God what my purpose is. I wasted my young years and am now bedridden...BUT...I am a prayer warrior and share videos such as this on facebook, hoping to reach the lost and teach those searching for answers. I also teach my husband what I learn and he is the one who talks to people out in the world. God will show you what He wants you to do. He is always talking to us. just be alert to anything that grabs your attention where you will say..i could do that. God bless you. I will keep you in my prayers

I think people over-think it -- if you've been a Christian for a while look back and recognize if there are things that have always been on your heart, or things you are passionate about - things you are drawn to, want to help and are able to help through the Spirit's prompting or enabling. The bible says things like "helps" and "hospitality" are a gift - but if people are always feeling inadequate because they are not missionaries in Africa, then they might miss what's right in front of them. Be faithful in the little things. God bless

Humbly, here is my own answer to "How do we find out our calling?"
Answer: We find out our calling by the same means we find out _all_ spiritual truth, by the Holy Spirit, who makes spiritual truth known to us. So we know what our calling is, in the same way we know about sin and righteousness and the thoughts of God: by the Spirit, who gives us wisdom, knowledge and revelation.
1 Corinthians 2:12
"Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God."
If we have been truly born of God, we will receive spiritual wisdom. This _can_ be imparted through prophecy or visions, but usually it is simply a direct knowledge which we receive by the Spirit.
It is unfortunate that many Christians "choose their own" callings, following after callings they were not given by God. That is why we end up with so many false teachers in the church who were never called to teach in the first place.
Note that a a man's calling may not just be "one role" or "one task", but several, perhaps combined or perhaps distinct.
In my case, I received several callings, given to me by the Lord. They came to me as great burdens which were placed upon my heart. I have absolutely no choice but to follow those callings - everything within me tell me they are the will of God, and everything that has happened to me only serve to confirm this.
Where there is calling, there is also gifting. If there is no gifting, there is no calling. The two go hand in hand. God will equip you, so if you are finding it difficult to fulfill your calling, that could be a sign that it is not your calling in the first place.
Sometimes the calling we receive will align with the flesh, making use of personal history, skills, and resources which the Lord has put in place in our life ready for the calling.
While other times, the calling will contradict the flesh - bringing us to do things which by our own skills would be impossible.
If any man is worried about callings, and has not received a calling, and feels unsure about what the Lord wants him to do, my humble advice would be to assume the position of being an infant in Christ, and focus on personal growing rather than serving the Body.
I spent years praying, studying the Bible, and growing spiritually before I was ready to start teaching. The Lord had much training to give me before I was ready.
A final note: I am not associated with "church" and I do not operate in a "church". I reject most of what is known as "church". These days, the Body of Christ are few, and I mostly interact with my brothers online. I would not go near my local "church". And indeed local "churches" reject spiritual gifting and do not allow the Spirit to function in their midst - silencing church members and stifling the opportunity for prophecy.

Lee Bee. Thanks. i humbly say my calling is elusive, pains me the amount of rejection. Will primarily stay with my beginnings that i know. LORD teaching me since 4, silently. The amount of knowledge given is revelation and basic teaching others is not what i can do. I thought all my life others have the same love for GOD. Shocked the feelings billions of others have against GOD. Proof I know YHWH and since 4 he is with me always: Your Jewish flag is proof. Queens, LI, NY, Jewel ave, 1961, numerous people walking the sidewalk, of none concern, orthodox jew walking, YHWH says "my chosen people, they know me." AND GOD saw to my old testament education in an atheist family. Thanks again.

There has to be time in heaven otherwise how would there be silence for half an hour. I believe that time will be a tool instead of a master, but it will still exist. Perhaps sometimes a stepping stone to other ages and dimensions.

True, I had a dream of these white homes, row upon row of them; the mountains were so green and the sky so blue. The only thing was that the homes have no doors and someone came up to me and ask me how they look and shocked I told them' I don't know'.
I can't remember if this was brought up in this particular Q&A; but, I think so. It has to do with "How does God communicate to the prophets and Chuck answered by a couple of verses in scripture. I was just reading my Bible and read this in Deuteronomy 18:18. " I (God) will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will PUT MY WORDS IN his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him." Of course there are other ways God does this. However in this particular instance it sounds like God is doing this in 'real time.' Again, we're not told exactly how it's done. It could be that he hears 'words' in his head to speak. Or, just like the donkey and he opens his mouth and words come out. This happens with those who are demon possessed and the demon's actual voice is basically hear as it is not the real person's voice that is heard and these people are known NOT to say these kind of things that is being blurted out.
A side note for Christians to be careful as to whom they think are giving us words in our minds: I don't believe that a Christian can be possessed but they can receive words in their minds that are of the devil and he will try to convince them that they are from the Lord. He becomes a so-called light to them. TEST the spirits my friends because there are many who are being deceived in this day -- in this season. They get words about when the rapture will be or when this or that will happen and post it to RUclips. The first time that are wrong which is a false prophecy, then they should NOT post on RUclips again and you should never watch them again unless they repent and ask for forgiveness and say they will start testing the spirits and talking to others about something they believe has come from the Lord.

Yes, that is correct. :) "I tell you, today" is bad translation. There is nothing in the Bible about Christians going to Heaven when they die.

Matthew 27:52,53 tell us that graves were opened and bodies of the saints which slept arose and came out of the graves after his resurrection and went into the Holy City and appeared unto many! Wow! What do you make of this and could it be connected to the 24 elders?
On the issue of tattoos. It's one of 613 binding laws in the Torah, under the new covenant we *are not* required to keep all of these. Only the laws that are reiterated by Jesus or the Apostles are we required to keep, which are mostly summarised in the Noahide laws, given to Noah after the flood and affirmed by the Apostles in the book of Acts (Acts 15:29) as the binding law requirements under the new covenant:
1. Do not deny God (no idolatry).
2. Do not murder.
3. Do not steal.
4. Do not engage in sexual immorality.
5. Do not blaspheme.
6. Do not eat of a live animal (no eating flesh taken from an animal while it is still alive).
7. Establish courts and legal systems to ensure obedience of these laws.
So, I disagree with Chuck, if you want a tattoo, and your reasons for wanting one are not about self-glorification there is no reason for a Christian to not have one. I would add the caveat that someone has mentioned, that tattoos are becoming very common now, we are becoming desensitised to the novelty of them so when the Mark of the Beast thing happens, it may be to many people "oh, just another tattoo".
Dont sew bad seeds into these people. If you are going to speak if the noahide laws, then you should also tell people how they will be used against us. If I had to bet on it, I would say you are most likely a talmudic Jew, or at least a student of it.

Reading the Judges passage I can't see in the English translation what you say, it might be unpalatable, the event stated here in Scripture, but I think God was showing we shouldn't be hasty in our vows, which Jesus later clarified strongly in his teachings. Specifically we should let our Yes be Yes and No No, and we shouldn't rush into vow making before God. As it can have unintended consequences.

2 Corinthians 12:2 is where the verse occurs... so for sure it'll be in his commentary on 2 Corinthians. But I've heard him refer to it else where too.
