I like the character designs and the vibe, but it's a little stiff looking. It could be a little more fluid. Maybe the devs will iron out some of the rough edges for a sequel.

The voice actress they picked for the announcer is AWFUL -one of the few times you'll ever find me saying that an AI voice would have been the superior pick.

Seen a few vids about this game way before it was announced for the Switch. Music is great but the game seems a bit to stiff. Graphics are still mid. The announcer sounds completely bored with her life.

I can't say for sure, but it was probably the marketing. They didn't really push the game like they could have. I feel like they wanted word-of-mouth alone to do the job. But like I said, I'm not really sure. People who are in the fighting game community might have a better answer.
