I used to be deep into MTB but now I ride an EUC. I've been trying to advocate for more trails to be open to EUCs, especially trails that are already designed with MTB in mind. In general I've found that the main reason why trails are closed is out of simple ignorance/fear. Even though E-Bikes are well established now, there's still a stigma against any fully motorized vehicle. Which I get. The key thing is to make sure that people know EUCs are not (as Chooch would say) a "half dirt bike". Some points to bring up: They're quiet, generally go slower than MTBs (especially downhill), and though they have thicker tires than most MTBs, the risk of skidding around corners or during hard braking is almost non-existent. In many ways they're more gentle on the trails because of this. Which is a primary concern for all those to build and maintain trails. If you ever get the chance to join up with a trail maintenance crew, even just for a volunteer day or something, that kind of thing goes a super long way towards building goodwill with the broader community.
Here in Kelowna BC regarding bike trails. I ride a s22 on a nearby mountain. I ran it by local by-law and the mountain manager they don't have a issue. There are no 'motorized' vehicles allowed, however they are alright with it. The mountain bikers are not all on board. I often get verbal abuse, they don't like me on thier 'turf'.

that is so awesome !! I have never seen anyone wanting to ride our bike park with that uni cycle, but we did have 1 guy with a regular uni that went down our hardest difficulty trail with ease, i was mind blown !!! So awesome to watch !

In Finland the EUCs are seen as bicycles and expected to respect the bicycle traffic rules. It is categorically impossible to restrict an area from EUCs if you don’t restrict bikes.

Niceee as always... I asked the chef and the senior Chef of Hohewand Wiese Trails here in austria... high powered bikes like surron are not allowed but EUC is allowed cause we have to balance ourself and are best possible protected ❤🎉 ride hard stay safe gruuuuzzz

Great tip about the escalator! Also, at 6:00 (and beyond) you can see the V13 is about size of rolling luggage.
If you need stronger velcro, may I recommend 3M dual lock. It won't come off, unless you brace and pull
The dual lock doesn't come off, but the actual glue used to attach it to things is not great and comes off too easily.
EUCs don't spin out when climbing and don't lock up when braking, it leaves less of a mark on the trail then a bicycle.
It's really too bad they decide to exclude EUC - if you make a wire frame from say a coat hanger and fix a small wheel on the front of it, would it not qualify as an electric bi-cycle also? Just because they pedal on the uphill parts and you do not on the EUC? It seems to be an immature or ill-considered decision to exclude rather than embrace the future. I made a lot of them on EUC ( and XXX times on MTB because on MTB I know them all before EUC ) ...and I can imagine the trip and accommodation ease ...

Thanks for the video, just in time! I'm going to buy myself my first EUC (S22 Pro) this week and in 2 weeks I need to travel by train (guess where) :D
So I wanted to take EUC for a ride in Tricity and seeing how you do it and ride exactly the location is just brilliant. Looks like traveling by train is really simple, although I'm afraid that baggage racks will be full, so I consider taking a bicycle ticket to put EUC into a bicycle spot there. Let's see how it goes 😉

i've always understood that if bikes were allowed then electric unicycle's are allowed just my thought but I think just being polite and moving on is the best and maybe next time somebody might get a loud who knows it's kind of like skiers versus snowboarders back in the old days
It's very common in my US location that bike-friendly places are NOT EUC-friendly. I go at night or now hot weather is here, during a time of day when there are few cyclists.
I built a DIY electric mountain bike mid-drive 750w, but I've got a throttle on mine, so hill climbs are so much easier 😊

One or a couple of those bikers likely raised hell with organizers and had EUCs “banned”. It is a tribe mentality. They fear that with your popularity, the part will be flooded by EUCs. It’s like skiers and snowboarders. Sharing is often not an option.

Euc might not be the best thing for cardio, but man handling a 100+ pounds thing like this in trail can be taxing!
They are afraid of dirt bikes that destroy paths, but even the difference between a forbidden electric dirt bike and an allowed powered fat bike is relatively small.

Regarding the only bike thing. Here where I live in Sweden they are implementing something similar on the trails. As I have bean told they dont even alow e-bikes. I ride the trails still as they don’t post any signs. I was only told this by the local bicke shop witch needs to ask permission to ride e-bikes there.

@@mr_wrongway Alright! I got my V13 this week, been a blast. Very unique but it really opens up for a new type of riding with the weight together with the big tire.
About to purchase the v13. However, ive been hearing its range is no where near where it should be.... veteran brand, or v13? Ugh

You say you gain more speed on the bike but it seems to me you're hitting the trail faster on the v13

What would happen if you rode the MTB like the EUC, pretending that the handle bars is just there to have a place to rest your hands on, not to grip. The fatigue you felt is common for new riders because you grip the handlebars to hard. As an exercise try forming a ring between the tum and the index finger and ride controlling the handle bar by just that.
Finally, drop your heals, it's a also a common mistake because when riding in higher speed then you are used to, the new riders tend to stiffen upp and rice the heals to stay on the toes. That can both lead to that the rider loses the grip on the pedal but also the the less flexible rider gets a narrower field of view from the eyes. Causing them to be more on the toes.

it's dumb that they don't allow EUCs there is no good reason for that as there is no significant difference between an euc and a BMX. therefore, their demands are unreasonable and I would ignore them. good thing I don't live in Poland. if a rule is stupid, I ignore it.

Why the heck can you speak german so well? 😄 Ist es nur dieser eine Satz oder sind es mehrere? I actually try to learn swedish for a year now, but I have to admit I don't know a single polish word.
Also I think it's a shame that electric vehicels are forbidden in the Bikepark. With a little mutual consideration, a harmonious coexistence is possible and I would think it would be much more effective if cyclists and riders of electric vehicles get closer and develop mutual respect for each other instead of excluding them and treating them unequally.
That mountain bikers damage the forest is nonsensical and it is a pity that they now pass the buck to us electric riders.

@@HilmiR1 Norwegian and Swedish are pretty similar, aren't they? Maybe one day we can talk like this, but my knowledge is still rudimentary, I can only understand simple written sentences and I have great problems understanding the spoken word. I think I'm just missing the practice.

a lot of my local bike trails also don't like EUCs or one wheels either........Theses Karen's thinks the PEV's are like motorized dirt bikes..........Jesus people are stupid
no you will not destroy the trail with these EUC & its not like you're doing fly bys at 50MPH around a blind corner.
Also we cannot do a break power side to kick up dirt, if we want to slow down like a regular bike can do with their breaks.
