SNK’s arranged songs have always given me those moments where I wish I could hear that song again for the first time, but none more than this masterpiece 🌙
Little fun fact: Back when this game released, a lot of the big reviewers didn't particular care for the KOF music that much. Never really gave music that much of a score. Even back then, I felt the reviewers really were out of touch when it came to this. KOF had stuff so good (especially on their red book audio Arranged versions) I literally played them in the car.
I think it fits they three perfectly. The flutes gives a traditional japanese vibe for Eiji, the Sax is just Iori's leitmotif at this point and the percurssion feels just like billy's alley
Love this track. I love all the KoF music and Neo-Geo music in general. I even put Neo-Geo music up there with the high standards of Yuzo Koshiro - believe me I'm an massive Koshiro fanboy :)

It's funny how this is the Iori theme and features a great saxophone and even an amazing piano solo, but the bass, which is Yagami's instrument, is forgotten in the background.

The memories of playing this game and every other KOF game on the PS1/PS2 emulators on the school laptops back in 2016, this one is the most nostalgic to me because I used to whoop the shit out of everybody (except one guy) with this blasting through the speakers during lunch time 😂
The reason why Eiji hasn't appeared much after '95 is because he's training in far-off areas to get revenge on Iori after he attacked both him and Billy under the influence of The Riot of the Blood in their team ending. The only reason he came back in XI was to join the Anti-Kyokugen team with Malin and Kasumi since they all hate Kyokugen.
Fun fact: The saxophonist who plays this track is the same saxophone player that plays most of the Cowboy bebop's musics

The reason why Eiji hasn't appeared much after '95 is because he's training in far-off areas to get revenge on Iori after he attacked both him and Billy under the influence of The Riot of the Blood in their team ending. The only reason he came back in XI was to join the Anti-Kyokugen team with Malin and Kasumi since they all hate Kyokugen.
