Carl, I owe a lot to you. I’m only 19 and Iv been working with my dad in the plumbing field for 3 years now. When I started, I didn’t have a lot of confidence in my self (wore Walmart clothes and such, they do get the job done though!) but when I first watched your first carhartt vid, I completely changed..my style is much different now (at work and out with friends/family etc) basically what I’m trying to say is THANK YOU! The last year Iv felt great just because of how I dressed at work. You’ve given me confidence I could’ve never dreamed of. I wish you well and I’ll continue to support your channel.
I wore Carhartt products for over 30 years while being an ironworker, when I first started buying carhartts back in 1988 it was all made in the USA as the years went on more and more of it was being made overseas I still bought it but I noticed the difference in quality, nowadays I don't think you can find a piece of Carhartt clothing that was made in the USA.
I like Carhartt a lot too, I’m wearing a t-shirt now but I love Gretchen even more for all she has done for Jazz Music in America. Her record labels are so essential to the preservation of our music and she done so much. I wear Carhartt daily and always will.
If you could only see the old Carhartt gear hanging in my garage! Lol. Can't bear to throw it away...I might be able to wear them one more time! When I decide to clean out, I'll take pics, nobody could deny the durability! So much history. Keep it up Carl.

What you did with carhartt i did with Red Wing in 2017. Really made me like the brand even more. And a pair of 877 red wings, double front carhartt pants, carhartt hoodie...is what your to find me in most of the time
Definitely one of my favorites as well. Of my good winter clothing, I'm sure Carhart outnumbers everything else in my closet by far. I'm wearing a pair of their bibs right now actually, just great products to wear around the ranch. Handyman work, livestock, working on or in equipment...it's all great.
After finishing my time with the Army, I figured out my life long plans of getting into university and becoming desk jockey, wasn’t for me. I’ve decided to become a carpenter a few months back. I remember watching your video a year ago and thought the brand and products were cool, but that I’d never use or buy it. Low and behold, now I love their clothes! Looking forward to buying one of their jackets in the future, as I only own a pair of their work pants.
I, too, decided to become a carpenter after going to business school and working for corporations for several years. My dad always wore Carhartt and guess who is also wearing almost nothing but Carhartt now... It’s sort of funny. He has three sons and one daughter. His daughter picked up after him 😁
I bought a shirt jac last week I think in shadow color-69$ ish. Ripped on a steel beam 1st day at the steel company. Still wear it/love it but I t feels like CArhartt quality went way down ..same with the brown winter coat that you see every guy in the Midwest wear during winter...
When I first got started working everything that I could I would make sure to get Carhartt but since then I've strayed and tried different brands, I've really started to love Duluth trading company and a few others for my work wear but it seems more and more I keep coming back to Carhartt. There's just some things but they do better than anyone else in the industry, especially their bib overalls, I've yet to find anyone that makes a better pair of insulated bibs. I also really love their rain defender hoodies for the money it's hard to find anything better without bumping up to Flint and tinder prices. As long as the hipsters and corporate sellouts don't ruin Carhartt like they did filson I think I'll always have a few Carhartt pieces in my closet.
Thats what my father insisted (and its beed a curse) on where things were made. Being european, on clothing it was usa first, england second and spain third. Its been a curse because ecver since 20 years ago always everything begun to be made in fucking china.
The brand just seems to keep getting better and better, I just recently bought a few rugged flex flannels and the new heavyweight Henley and they are amazing pieces of clothing
You should check out stormy Kromer hats, they're all made in the upper peninsula of Michigan and with winter coming up there is staple of Midwestern apparel steeped in a long and storied tradition it would definitely be worth the attention a producer like you gives to quality gear. They also make some pretty nice wool vests that I think are comparable to the filson wool vest
Filson guy here - past 25-30 years - we own a horse farm (on a river) and I like items that will last - I own enough Filson products to fill a small room (HA HA)...that said I recently discovered Stormy Kromer...bought one of their waxed vests (similar to my Filson Tin Cloth items)...VERY IMPRESSED!!!! I'll order an Olive wool vest as soon as they get my size back in stock at Moose Jaw (MJ gives a better Military Discount than does SK).

Awesome vid! I own allot of Carhartt gear and I love it. However I feel like they could update/refresh their mens scrubs. Working in the veterinary industry I wear their scrubs everyday. They are built really well, handling the sharpest cat nails, but I kneel down allot, so do many others in this field working with small animals. The scrub pants just dont move freely and have little space in the thighs, I have ripped a few at the inseam because of this. I still wear their scrub top but I had to buy a competitors scrub pants.
i still wear a pair of insulated carhardt bibs i bought in the mid '70's. had to modify the straps after they stretched out. hahahaha! they still work.
Inherited my love for carhartt from my parents. My dad gave me his jacket that is almost as old as me (20+) thing is still in great shape! The shorts I got are dirty and covered in oil but still hold up against anything I through at it.... Can't say that for anything else.

I picked up 2 WIP coach jackets at a rediculously marked down price. And I love them. One has the "C" one has a Script logo. Love them. PS I also got the red duck heritage double knee and they are my favorite pants. Hard to find on their website I actually thought they were Europe only. The have the trolley heart logo.
What do you think about surplus military BDUs for workwear? I use the blank navy blue ones and they aren't the prettiest but work good for me haha. Love your channel content, keep up the good work
I like your video of Carhartt product, i leave in Canada the product are more expansive but the quality is really good. I wear most of the time my Rugged flex rugby dungree I like this pants for mechanic of work in the wood !
Pricier, more fashionable but quality stuff. I actually recently gave away some Carhartt WIP winter gear I wasn't wearing to a hostel /shelter. The wife pointed that it was super durable and after a wash it looked like new. I do a bit of hiking and that gear is now pricey & lightweight. Stuff gets ripped or damaged more easily because shells are thinner & more high tech to save weight. Whereas these carhartt items have brushed against trees, thorns, rocks, chopped trees, lugged blocks, fallen over quite a few times on gravel, scree.. The kind of use that should leave marks of wear and tear but they look new. I actually had to wash some blood off my field cargo pants but they looked fine. A 3L goretex jacket was ripped in the same fall. I'm not saying Carhartt WIP stuff is indestructible because it isn't. But it's built for durability while still looking fashionable.
Hey Carl, Maybe you can help me find a Carhartt product or point me to a comparable product. I'm looking to replace my Carhartt b194 sandstone waist overall quilt lined pants. These are essentially their overalls but in a pant version. They have quilt lining and full length side leg zippers. I live at 4,100' right on the U.S./CA border where we have three seasons: spring, winter and fall. I own and operate heavy equipment and a sawmill. These pants are awesome for late fall and early spring where I don't need my full overalls and like the freedom in the waste. It seems that Carhartt has discontinued this item. I can't find any comparable quilt lined, double front, side leg zippered pants. Any help from you or your viewers would be greatly appreciated.
Has the quality gone down hill, due to the Carhartt work wear being made in India? Would you advice to buy a Carhartt jacket or coat thats made in the USA? Thank you for your time. Sincerely Guy.
Why do the FR ARCTIC EXTREMES PARKA costs so much. I love carhartt also, but for me to buy this coat and bib overalls is a little over 1000$, could u do a video on that. Thanks
Im actually a local representative in Ohio for skillsUSA. Its a big part of my school culture and they help us alot in promoting young adults and us highschoolers into the work field.
Okay guys I need some carhartt help. Next year i'm going to live, work and school in Norway. Since it can get pretty cold up there, i'm currently looking into lined/quilted bibs.I am especially interested in the R38 zip to waist duck overalls. I'm following an outdoor education program, so the main use will be things like: hunting, horse riding, sledding, and the occasional ski. Now my question is, do you guys thinks these carharrt overalls are suitealbe for skiing/snowboarding? I'm currently living in The Netherlands so getting the real workwear is kind of expensive. I do believe it's worth the money and the product will but put through its paces. Just curious about the winter sport.
Have a look at their new Yukon Extremes line. They redesigned the entire thing and made them way better and warmer. That parka is especially badass but the bibs look great too. I'm in the middle of a full review of the entire line right now, probably sometime in November for a release.
@@CarlMurawski Wow thanks for the fast reply! Will wait for the video before making a decision. They look badass indeed, hopefully they will send the gear to Europe🤞
I think that you're too apologetic about their lacking in made in the USA products. I think the entire industry falls really short on that. But they've been around for so long that their decisions are almost like an industry leader. I think that they could have pulled it off, it just would have cost them more money.
I think Carhartt was caught with their pants down in the past 10 years. From what I see in the store they still build their pants too heavy and stiff, and don't have the stretchiness that the European competitor pants have. Ever since Helly Hansen came into the work market and adapted the European design of trade pants it's hard to choose Carhartt. Helly Hansen is probably more expensive but the waste is stretchy and comfortable, it has knee pads pockets ( very important) the pants have some stretch when bending. Cost is always an issue considering my wife can buy a pair of jeans at Walmart for $15 - $18. But Carhartt has to step it up a bit to todays standard which where I live I shave not seen that happen.
I do like Carhartt, but I do have a problem with their double knee pants. They're built really good, but I blow the crotch out less than a year. My two buddies that I work with are the same. I wish they would do something like Duluth and make that flex point there.

I’m looking at purchasing the Detroit jacket from carhartt is it worth it sense it’s no longer made in the USA?
Do it! Mine was made in Mexico 20 years ago and it’s still kickin butt.
L Johnston
Most people who want made in the U.S. would rather have Mexico or Canada as an option than South/East/SE Asian manufacturing.
@@ianturnbow7011 I agree
Bought this jacket recently, would definitely recommend
Man my daily wardrobe for more years than I want to remember was Carhartt and steel toes, usually Redwings, but I wore through everything every other year or so no matter the brand🤷🏾♂️
Can’t agree more with this video! Awesome video
Most of my Carhartt products are made in Mexico, I see no fall off in quality between those and the ones made in the USA.
I still wear their scrub top but I had to buy a competitors scrub pants.
just bought my first ever carharrt jacket ,, im hooked
i still wear a pair of insulated carhardt bibs i bought in the mid '70's. had to modify the straps after they stretched out. hahahaha! they still work.
I agree I still have my first coat from them that close to 20 years old
Inherited my love for carhartt from my parents. My dad gave me his jacket that is almost as old as me (20+) thing is still in great shape! The shorts I got are dirty and covered in oil but still hold up against anything I through at it.... Can't say that for anything else.
The red logo with the car and the heart was so cool.
I also have the same shirt...Their quality and selection is why I buy Carharrt. I also wish they would make more USA products..
Glad you still love carhartt one year later. Was afraid you might change or something lol
This is an example of the amazing things that a company can do if it focuses on quality and continues to improve based on feedback. Love it!
Couldn't agree more! Of course they don't do everything right, but I think that just the attempt to do good speaks volumes.
I still like Carhartt but find myself wearing Duluth more these days. The Carhartt I do get is at Gabe's, which makes it a steal imo.
Would you say that brands like Carhartt are better for work wear than Filson because of their R&D?
Thanks brother for saying it’s not sponsored
I wish they made quilt lined B01 jeans
Have you ever heard of Roundhouse brand? they make jeans and bib overalls etc and are completely american made. they prices are much lower than I was expecting. you should check them out!
Ive never had a problem with with movement but the cost would ride up and the wind wound go up my back lol
I've still got a 15 year old coat that I still wear. Its busted up on the sleeves around the wrist though but still a wearable coat. Yeah my zipper broke off too
Carharrt rules. Started really getting into them a few years ago. Excellent, high quality essentials. Anyone wear the jeans? Do they make slim jeans?
I picked up 2 WIP coach jackets at a rediculously marked down price. And I love them. One has the "C" one has a Script logo. Love them. PS I also got the red duck heritage double knee and they are my favorite pants. Hard to find on their website I actually thought they were Europe only. The have the trolley heart logo.
please make a video of carhartt boots as well
What do you think about surplus military BDUs for workwear? I use the blank navy blue ones and they aren't the prettiest but work good for me haha. Love your channel content, keep up the good work
My 13 year old carhartt jacket, which was still going strong, got stolen out of my truck last winter. Gonna have to replace it soon.
Love the vids. I guess I'm okay being the 2nd most popular Carhartt content creator haha.
Lol! Well thank you man
I like your video of Carhartt product, i leave in Canada the product are more expansive but the quality is really good. I wear most of the time my Rugged flex rugby dungree I like this pants for mechanic of work in the wood !
Do you have a link for the Carhartt plaid shirt you're wearing?
What are your thoughts on Carharrt WIP? I really like the brand, however they greatly differ with the way they present the brand 🤔
Hey have you tried a brand called ridge cut i believe. I have a pair of their bibs and they are nice enough.
Great vid Carl.
I blew out my FR Carhartt coat. I'm pretty sad about it and i'm going to keep using it till its shredded
Hi. Is this Yukon Extreme jacket taken out of production???
What jacket are you wearing in the thumbnail for this video?
Off video subject but put my new Nick's on today and broke one of the laces right off. Thank goodness para-cord to the rescue lol.
Hey Carl,
Maybe you can help me find a Carhartt product or point me to a comparable product.
Don’t forget that they have a ton of women’s stuff. I love love love their work leggings especially
Thanks
I feel so bad because here in Brazil we don't have carhartt
Video Idea: Updated Articles of Style suit review since it appears that they have switched from made to measure to Bespoke.
A brand I never hesitate to pick up second-hand due to that durability.
The wallet already is a defined, specific measurement. That measurement is standard card sized.
Sounds like Carhartt needs to start an apprenticeship program to bring the jobs back to America. If you pay well, they will come.
Me and the guys at work love Carhartt because their stuff works. Simple.
Love my Carhartt stuff
what is the shirt you are wearing - do not see it on their site...is it an old one?
It might be, I got it last year. It's one of their stretch flannels but I'll bet they discontinued the colorway.
Carl Murawski thanks- I like the collar and weight of the shirt.
“My saddle on the wrong horse” 🤣
I do like Carhartt, but I do have a problem with their double knee pants. They're built really good, but I blow the crotch out less than a year. My two buddies that I work with are the same. I wish they would do something like Duluth and make that flex point there.
I like these guys too🥾🙌🏻
Can you review jim green boots. Theyre a south african company and make really affordable boots
Yessir! I did a video on them in my Cheap, But Great Work Boots video and I'll be doing a 1-year review soon!
