As an older woman. I don’t always understand the logistics of what you doing, but I enjoy watching you take raw materials and build something useful. Reminds me of my dad. He was just a farmer with a high school education but he could build almost anything he needed for the farm. Whatch you with the hand truck made me remember that he made his own hand truck he use the wheels from and old lawnmower. My uncle said it would never work but 65 years later I still use it. It’s much sturdier and useful than what you can but in a store today.
@ Amen! I have 4 sons who are all amazing young men. 3 served in the military and 1 is a truck driver. You get out what you put into your children. (Mostly)
What first caught my attention to your content, was your early fabrication videos. The farming content was the bonus. Farmer Tyler Ranch is a great round out of fab, farming and family. Thanks for all your hard work and creativity. Best wishes for 2025 to the "Tyler" family and fans!
You are amazing! You get a vision, you/we see it come to fruition right before our very eyes. . . Thank you for taking us along for the ride, Tyler! Looking forward to watching the next episode! Happy New Year 🎉 🎊 Say Hi 👋🏼 to Bre & the kids for me!
Congrats! I voted for thia project! I would’t mind, tough, if in every video you showed part of your daily chores, just to get a glimpse of the cattle, pigs, etc. I never get tired of watching that!😉
Have you considered getting a hydraulic top link? I think that you might get the vertical angle you need, depending on the length of the hydraulic ram and cylinder. I have one on my tractor and it allows me to change angles while in the cab of my tractor. Sure cuts out all of the in and out of the cab to adjust the screw on the old top link for each implement I use. Also I notice that you have draft control on your 3 point hitch. If you change the connection point of the your top link to the tractor it will change how high your top link will lift. Very important too when plowing and discing. Check out your owners manual on which hole to connect your top link.
You have an amazing ability to figure out and make whatever you need. So impressive. Love your channel. My favorite. Looking forward to another year of fun and adventure with you.
You teach a great lesson on committing to as little work as possible to reach that testable proof of concept. It’s a tough balance, which you seem to strike with ease by trusting your instincts. Thank you for a great video!
You have to try flux core mig wire...I work at a rig manufacturing place and my job was welding the platform...I used flux core... It was a base to a triple...
Its a nice way to start the 2025 projects with the planning of the 3 pt hitch setup working out and not having to go back to the drawing board for a second design 👍🇺🇸
Nice work on another project. If you ever want a easy project that you will likely appreciate every time you go to the shop, and have an hour or two, trim up the scrub around that tree to the left of the shop entrance and maybe the branch hanging low over the roof. Just a suggestion for ever if you want a change of pace. I understand you probably have your hands full most days just getting all the have-to things done.
Wishing 😃 Everyone a very Happy and Healthy, New Year! Fantastic! I didn’t vote because I am fine for whichever you decided to build. I had no idea how or what you were going to build for a bailer, but you kept it interesting and informative. It is really cool getting to see it come to life. Thanks for the extra work of videoing your work as you go. Hope you enjoyed your dinner 🥘 and family time ⏰.
Have t been here since the beginning. My loss but not going anywhere. Love all you take on. You aren’t afraid of tackling any job. Good luck. I know you can do it. Thanks.
From Cape Breton Island In Mabou Nova Scotia Canada........ Happy New Year to you and the family ... Have a blessed Day ..May God Bless us ALL ... Jan 2 nd 2025 ...................................🇲🇹......🇨🇦
excellent bit of thought and analysis to get the travel required. You could look at moving the top link mount plates to push the post away from the tractor a little bit to give you the same bottom position using the middle hole.
Fascinating video FT. Ingenious design and fabrication. When you started talking about building a bale unroller I started shopping them. I think the least expensive was a three point unroller from John Deere at $1600. Bet you aren’t into it for nearly that much. Good stuff.
When I had my ranch I had a 4020 and I kept telling myself I was going to get a hydraulic actuator so that I could extend and retract the top point. I think that would work better in this situation
I see your dirt bike and I bet you've put some miles playing on it. Look, how about your cow's? How are they doing and your bulls? Can we have a look at them? I miss seeing them and your pooch! Love the building stuff, you're brilliant.
Just a reminder, you are picking up the bales from the center height, so theoretically your 3 point attachment only needs to move 3 feet on a 6 foot bale. Otherwise the build looks great, keep up the awesome work!
I’m wondering if you could do a Welding 101 video for us, explaining the differences between the various types of welds you use, the equipment, etc. It would help your I-know-nothing viewers a lot.
My 3 cents is / are make sure u can use with the 8N & your other newholand , isn't that a loaner for a year or so ? Just my thoughts of course . It might just mean a bigger plate with 6 holes in it and another 2 lower pins holder . Great job of corse oh an other brilliant idea 💡 make a drawing of what your thinking , if like me have your daughter draw it for ya 🤪
Contrary to what you might think, this DID look like a days work. In a couple of shots it was apparent just how hefty this piece was - even before you lifted it onto the hand truck. I’m so happy with YOUR success - no “we”, FTR.
You can solve the geometry problem by getting a hydraulic top link...I had a bale unroller I bought from Everything Attachments that worled good. You might go on line and look at how their's is built
Hello Tyler, You are a talent fabricator. On the one tab it fit right on ,on the other one you had to beat it on . Yes you got it on but there is stress in the radius of the tab now .when you try using it adding hydraulic pressure to lift with it will add more stress. I see you tacked welded it in place but you may want to remove it and make the opening just a few thousands bigger so it fits without having to drive it on..with the stress in the metal it may crack sometime on you in the future if you don't ,, ...I look forward to your videos each day .
If you want to save some time cutting out your brackets, I just started sending my drawings to a place in Reno that laser cuts everything. My current project the steel was going to cost me $20 per part at the local steel supplier. I had multiple cuts and slots in it all delivered to my door for $30 per part.
Happy New Year! Great start to the bail unroller! Will it also fit onto & have enough ground & rear tire clearance with a bale attached if hooked up to the smaller New Holland tractor?
I don't care what project to start on I love watching anything you build.

So agree with you!

Ditto for me. You constantly amaze and impress me with your approach to these projects!
Tyler, you are the master of fabrication!
All the TIME!

Hubby just came through to ask ..... 'what's he building ?' I think you have another fan. 🙏♥️💯💯💯♥️🙏
😀❣️
Figuring out the geometry was big, love the portable drill press, great job
I agree that was really cool!!!
Gettin it done Farmer Tyler!!!
Congrats!
I voted for thia project!
I would’t mind, tough, if in every video you showed part of your daily chores, just to get a glimpse of the cattle, pigs, etc.
I never get tired of watching that!😉
Really enjoying the fabrication projects and the c-clamp usage.😊
❤❤SHOP PROJECTS ❤❤ looks great 👍 very analytical process, I like 👍 it🎉❤❤
I am very impressed with the job! I enjoy you making things. I love to weld and build stuff. Thanks 😊

I must say for a start ….. I’m NEVER DISAPPOINTED in what you do and ACHIEVE, 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰xx
Can't wait for the next video I like how you design something comes out just like you planned thank you for the video
I really enjoy watching your fabrication videos - from concept to finished project. Great job, Tyler!

You do very good work.

You can do it ,if anyone can, Our Lord is with you and your family,
Man you’re clever Tyler. Make sure you patent your design 😁💰💰💰
Great build as usual I would put a second jaw on each side on the bottom just like the top that would make it much stronger ❤
Very impressive. Love watching you create useful tools and equipment. Great job.

Awesome stuff Tyler. Truly inspirational brother 🇿🇦
Thanks for sharing farmer Tyler ranch I enjoyed the video
Ok..I had no idea what you were talking about, but I think you explained it so I understood what you did..😅
excellent bit of thought and analysis to get the travel required.

Great job FTR !!
Applause 👏🏼 a job well planned!
You are one smart dude! You are modern day "McGuyver".
Honestly Tyler, your the BEST at everything 💙xx
Thank you again for another great video As always you explain everything well. Have Happy New Year 😊
Looks like your right on track I’m betting on a successful outcome
Nice drill! That worked great!
Be Safe
Excellent work. It looks so sturdy!

Great job Tyler! You’re doing great getting your projects done.
Great, new video 👍😊
"Faster just to build it" is what put the USA where it's at on the map
Looking good Tyler
When I had my ranch I had a 4020 and I kept telling myself I was going to get a hydraulic actuator so that I could extend and retract the top point. I think that would work better in this situation
So impressed with your knowledge!
Another tool for your arsenal! Looking forward to the finish product in operation. Good post FTR!
WTG - you should open up your own fabrication shop!!!!!
I see your dirt bike and I bet you've put some miles playing on it. Look, how about your cow's? How are they doing and your bulls? Can we have a look at them? I miss seeing them and your pooch! Love the building stuff, you're brilliant.
Great job Thanks for the video Tyler
Once again, you have proven that you are a superior example of mankind.
God love ya….. do go and have your dinner and RELAX 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻xx

Happy New Year to you and your family 🎉.
Enjoyed
You might consider mounting a cylinder for your 3rd top link for use everyday. That's what we do.
Cool thanks 😊
Yes been waiting on this for a minute 🎉
I had no idea that the San Andreas fault line ran through your shop.
(seen at 10:48)
😆
WE DID IT !!!! 🥳
Good work!

You are just money! Great problem solving.
With the heavy metal you are using your bale unroller will be a very heavy piece of equipment.
U need to make sure u patent ur final design, especially since it will be a universal fit. It looks like it's coming together quite nicely.
These are common. He could have cheated and took measurements off of the one he patterned his after. This he is getting a custom fit though.
Use a hydraulic cylinder instand of a top link
Contrary to what you might think, this DID look like a days work. In a couple of shots it was apparent just how hefty this piece was - even before you lifted it onto the hand truck. I’m so happy with YOUR success - no “we”, FTR.

Greetings, is the rebuild of the little old tractor abandoned. Good luck with all your projects
If it doesn't work the first time just get a bigger hammer and wack the tar out of it! 😂
Impressive!!!❤
What brand is that table top drill press? That thing is awesome
Use a hydraulic ram for your top link, that way you can adjust it as needed.

Hi Tyler
It might be worth trying a hydraulic top link as it give you the flexibility you need.
Thx
Better with a double jaw at the bottom as well stronger for pulling
You can also get a hydrolic top link.
❤❤VIDEO ❤❤ another great 👍 project.❤❤
Happy New Year!
Great start to the bail unroller! Will it also fit onto & have enough ground & rear tire clearance with a bale attached if hooked up to the smaller New Holland tractor?
