The delusionaly optimistic fans need to listen to this podcast. You guys are THE source for Wisconsin talk. Hope it turns around but totally agree with there’s more room for concern than optimism

Agreed. We got sold a bill of goods by Fickell, when he's performed at the same level he did in his one season at Ohio State. That should have been a harbinger of things to come, not his work at second division school like Cincinnati

Thank you for being one of the very few Badger football podcasts which is realistic, for not overhyping, and for being thoughtful in your subjects and analysis!

Love your show. Still a season ticket holder who thoroughly enjoyed Bernie’s Penn State domination. Loved the fans chanting “Matt Bernstein” right after the PA announcer. I think that the Badgers would have been more successful with a better QB this past season. The opponents defense stacked up against the run because they did not fear the Badgers passing game especially with lack of mobility. Also because of this the Badgers couldn’t control the clock which wore down their defense later in games.

Yeah, the Locomotive mentioned he got "mf'ed" by the coaches at Penn State whereas my memory is he left the Star of David tattoed all over their defense

The Jewish Locomotive needs to write a memoir about his time on campus, like that guy who played on Alvarez's first team. I wanted to hear more about his struggles and experience and how he eventually became a fan favorite

Barten needs a good "juice" program to reach a dominant weight.

Too Many Players from the prior regime had simply Given up and Thrown in the Towel in the last 3 games.... Fickell could have but did not call them out by name - he took 100% of the heat himself

Also no offense to the men who think they are outside linebackers, but they are no different than inside. They have the word “backer” because they back up the line. They are NOT edge rushers and only would do so on a rare occasion.

I'm totally fine with playing Mettauer or Smith. But the fans and the NIL donors don’t want it and they are pretty much like the team owner and Fickell has to do what the owner wants.

Jeff is all doom and gloom. But I agree that they need to fix the whole NIL thing

The NIL evaluation of high school kids is no different than the evaluation of college players for the NFL draft. Meaningless. How many No. 1 picks, as an example, actually played up to their evaluation, yet it continues? Evaluation systems are necessary for an efficient system. There will never be anything close to a perfect system.
