Hey there! No, there isn’t any way to run 2 of these together. They just have a single USB port, line inputs, and line outputs. So, there isn’t any type of daisy chaining via USB or digital I/O available. I hope this helps! Nick Pasquino, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 3230, nick_pasquino@sweetwater.com
I am stunned that Apogee would think it's a good idea to release a new interface at this price point that has no digital expansion, no Midi. No word clock, spdif, or instrument input. My RME UFX III makes this thing look like a toy.
WOW!!! Missing something???? 32bits, adat, spdif, midi, insert, line in, smartgain, talkback, worldclock ... Very expensive for just a preamp and some outputs even with dsp i/o.
Seriously just wanted an Ensemble. Like the same exact Ensemble they had but with updated USB. Didn't even have to redesign it. I really don't get it. Sticking with RME for now unfortunately. Gosh what a let down. If they ever just put out that Ensemble w the reamp and all that thing had....that would've been IT.

Also limited in inputs, no adat ins and outs… not really a multipurpose studio centerpiece
@@DarkTrapStudio RME is great but clean converters (I use them because of that) Apogee converters have a ‘sound’ to them which some like. Mostly because of their soft clipper which was great when digital rendering tended to sound a bit harsh.
They should have just copy the Rednet series from Focusrite. Sadly this thing is a point to point of no expansion… they lost that train with this version. A lot of interfaces have more capabilities than this one, however I bet it does have great sound quality.
interface should have rock solid drivers. if i want sound quality, i'd consider converters, not interfaces. Then again, if i were considerin interfaces, I would go for RME
I feel you. I've been emailing them from time to time...like once a year I've sent a message just going "hey all we need is an Ensemble. It's missing in your product range." I don't see at all how these cover that.
@@jacksp8de Limited routing capabilities. The Ensemble has: ADAT, Line outputs, 4 preamps have combo jack TRS/Line inputs, also 2 Reamp outputs with returns.
@@Benprogfuse yeah that’s what I figured. This is a self contained unit but you can use with analog equipment like summing. Seems like they could’ve at least put adat. Even the desktop has that
@@jacksp8de It’s just a lot less functional for the target customer that the Ensemble was intended for. Their commercial for this shows a girl sitting in her bedroom playing an acoustic guitar. Should she need a D-Sub connection with breakout cables just to use her monitors with it.. and a separate DI box if she wanted to plug her guitar in direct and not use a mic.
Most home studios already have gear with adat connections. Why would anyone buy this if they can’t easily expand their i/o with gear they already own? adat is dirt cheap. Completely baffled as to who they are targeting with these. Surround and atmos mixers in post sound houses?
Apogee lost it since 2020 moving forward..because with there smaller version they mess up on compatibility..also cant this be smaller and why the old look design
8x8 without adat is insane for that price point. Dead on arrival.
No adat? Doesn't seem right for the price
Hi! Is it possible to use 2 Symphony Studio together?.Best/Mathias

Is there better (overall) than RME ? I can't find best with outstanding quality/software update/compatibilty record

@@Chaos-Dynamics I know yeah, but I would take Burl as an exemple for coloring converters :)
I told RUclips to not show any Sweetwater videos but you guys found an new channel to harass my feed, damn 😢
Made my day thanks
So I guess that since it has 16 line outputs they thought that adding ADAT was redundant ? 🧐

Curious never had an ensemble. Why doesn’t this meet your standards?
