Thanks Joe , for the break down tried a few different versions of this yours was by far the easiest to under stand . I completely agree with your DD UU D theory you have to listen to your own rhythm and feel the music .
Hi from France, Joe ! it's a wonderful tribute to Colin and its nice song I was used to hearing on and on at my aunt's. Thanks for the tutorial. Very useful !
No unfortunately he doesn't, at least not regularly anymore. He does still play sometimes with friends from up that way though when they get together for a session.
That second chord (B7) in the chorus that you play i.e.: "look (Em) at me standing (B7)" is wrong - play this mashed up chord instead of the B7 : E2 A0 D2 G2 B0 E0. Adds a beautiful tension.
Joe. Thanks for breaking this down so well. Plucking is like bar chords...i try and avoid them... but you made this so easy to learn... Its a pity im such a shit singer...but hey thats other peoples problem... Cant sing will sing. Thanks
+madpaddy21 Hey Paddy, good to hear lesson is helping. Re singing, this song is not difficult, it's more spoken than sung, so I would suggest trying a capo, until you can talk your way through it with a little singing kind of a mixture of singing and speaking. Hope that makes sense.
At last a correct and clear expanation of this song. Thanks Joe.
+Fred Kleinveld Thanks Fred enjoy.

This F sharp thing with your thumb is a clever idea. I'm gonna use it.
Awesome lesson on the version I was looking for, thanks. On a side note I work with the guy who played the keyboard on the original track :).

Needs a capo on the third, unless you've a very high voice!
Rating: INTERMEDIATE
Nice cover for begginers. But this is not the way Colin play's it. Even the chords are different.
Well maybe you could show us all
