Hey there, as long as the program gives you practical hands on experience that you can add into a portfolio, there will be a high chance of employers will see your technical skills and hire you. But if you solely rely on a degree or certification to get a job, that's not going to be effective. For example, for me, I broke into digital marketing without ever having done any certifications, educational requirements etc. But I was able to do it because I had practical copywriting experience.

No, I start my marketing specialist position Monday. BUT you need to have experience and be able to convey that to a company. Self learning would be good as well. I’ve invested in courses over the years (social media tips, SEO, running ads, etc.). Good luck with everything!

Hey there! I never studied marketing in school nor did I ever get a certification / diploma from it so you should be good. As long as you can practically apply digital marketing and have the skills - that should be good.
It's a good start but not enough. I'd recommend you learn practical digital marketing skills via free work, freelancing, or creating your own projects. From there, create a portfolio and show it to employers. This will make you much more employable.
Hey Mic, the rule of thumb I like to go by is: Practical experience is always better to have than just textbook knowledge. During interviews, if they ask you "have you ever done XYZ" and all you can reply back with is "well, I studied this in school"
Nice video mate, any pointers from where one should start learning digital marketing and guidelines to land a remote job ? I've studied MBA, doing sales job, thinking about moving to digital marketing space. (Also have a RUclips channel on which I've stopped working now😄)
Honestly most roles nowadays are remote, but there are specific sites that only deal with remote jobs. You can check them out. DM if you have any further questions.
Hi man, what advice would you give me im currently doing my apprenticeship on digital marketing, I wanted to ask you if you got any tips for me starting and is it good to have a lot of certificates for a job interview or not? Because I have 20 focused on digital marketing.
What I'll tell you is prioritize real life experience and keep track of all those projects in a portfolio. Then use that portfolio during job interviews to sell yourself. That's more likely to get you a job than collecting certifications.

No you don't. I never studied it in school but work in the industry.
@@alifhuq86 I don't like my degree course, this give me hope
Great video, I’m studying digital media and I’m considering the google courses, do you think it is enough to get a job?
It's a good start but not enough. I'd recommend you learn practical digital marketing skills via free work, freelancing, or creating your own projects. From there, create a portfolio and show it to employers. This will make you much more employable.
Are diploma courses and apprenticeships better than a degree for this role ?
Hey Mic, the rule of thumb I like to go by is:
Practical experience is always better to have than just textbook knowledge. During interviews, if they ask you "have you ever done XYZ" and all you can reply back with is "well, I studied this in school"
keep smiling
Will do :)
DM if you have any further questions.
are u Bangladeshi?
Yessssiirrrr
Hi man, what advice would you give me im currently doing my apprenticeship on digital marketing, I wanted to ask you if you got any tips for me starting and is it good to have a lot of certificates for a job interview or not? Because I have 20 focused on digital marketing.
What I'll tell you is prioritize real life experience and keep track of all those projects in a portfolio. Then use that portfolio during job interviews to sell yourself. That's more likely to get you a job than collecting certifications.
Is this a salary role Alif?
Yes, it is :) Back then that role was paying me 45k / year Canadian.
Amazing ❤️
Thank you Abdul!
What is your work hours? 9-7?
I would say 9-5!
Just watch another video he can't explain what he does. Every excuse is he'll get fired if he does. Pointless!
Hey, at least I kept my job though ;)
Thanks. Exactly my takeaway
So a lot of this writing could have been done easily with AI ?
.... I regret to inform you, yes....
thank you ALIF for such insightful video....I am trying to join internet marketing diploma from Montréal , would you mind how much money/ salary I should expect ? thank you love! and peace!
Depends on your role, experience, company, and where you live. If you're about a couple years into marketing you can make 70k+

Is this job stressful?
Depends on the company and the role :) But generally speaking, if you want a chill sit back type of role, not sure if marketing is the right fit for you.
@@alifhuq86 then what is more suitable if i want job that not more stressful?

Prioritize learning and doing the skill over chasing theoretical knowledge ✅

Totally, there's a lot to say, why don't you send me a DM on Instagram and I'll send you a voice note? (I find it's easier to speak rather than type long form messages) :)
@@alifhuq86 is it possible if I could hear that message
Do you need a degree??
In my opinion, no you don't :)
