Cheers dude, that took a while to figure out. Those clamps are pretty useless otherwise, for the track I mean. Just wish I’d made it lower.
As a grumpy sod (my wife's words, not mine) there's not a lot that makes me laugh out loud.

Terrible time to buy tools dude and after Christmas, companies put up their prices about 3-4 months before Christmas to then drop them after Christmas down to what they were calling it a sale, same for Black Friday 🤦🏻♂️ Barstards! I learnt that a while ago, saved for ages for that planer thicknesser, then when I went to buy it it was 300 quid more, I emailed Axminster about it and they answered but refused to comment on me calling them out.

Looks mint m8 that festool blade is sommit else. If only we could get decent dado blade that doesbt burn hole in pocket over here we'd all be laughing. Mind u there is a danish viking who is somewhere with his gidted one the now. Hope things are picking up m8 catch up soon 👍🏴
I looked at the stacks and was like nah fuck that… taking the tool to the job wins that dado stack argument for me. But if you showed me the same jig for a table saw, I’d get a lazy lobb! Blades have wobble…
@@HewAndAwe very true and they ain't fuking cheap either think a looked the one jesper got for his table saw (won't fit mine) even still was like 280 a think off hand. A no you said that festool one will only fit festool but is that deffo as a have the Bosch plunge saw (newest one) and it'll take festool clamps track etc wondering if it'd work. Not sure if you've used Bosch one??
Serious question, Ben. What affects your decision to use the track saw or the table saw when cutting sheet ply or MDF?
Getting a constant cut = table saw, breaking down sheet goods track saw, then table saw. Or the cut is to long or wide for the table saw, like a 4’ by 4’ pice of mdf on the table saw won’t go well. There’s only about 300mm support before the cut on a table saw too. Safety, precision in short dude. I also hate long cuts on the track saw cause u inevitably have to pause the cut to walk up to where the saw is to keep going and that leaves burn marks.
Yep. Big sheets are a pain. I've probably got room for a table saw with the panel/sliding bed attachment. I'm thinking that will be useful to assist with the long rips. Have you used one? Thoughts?
@sparkyoc6766 oh-man that’s kinda up to and what you do a lot of, me personally even if I had the space I wouldn’t get one cause they’re so big and I don’t use sheet goods much. I would t want to loose the floor space mostly, the one I used was a long time ago though near 20 yrs ago, not like the current ones that are a bit smaller. The thought of the space needed I keep coming back to, I mean you need 16’ 8’ either side of the blade to rip a 8’ by 4’ and 4’ front and back of blade. I might be wrong but that’s a lot of space either way that other tools could be using. I’d be very surprised if the cut wouldn’t still need a clean up pass when ripping a full sheet on a panel saw. I think I’d sooner have two cabinet saw as a double table saw island than a panel saw too, one for rip one for cross, actually make that 3, and one for rebates etc.

Haha thanks dude, I’ve had a very low month and a bit and just getting my shit together now and reading this brought a tear to my eye!!! It’s not getting any better here for me too. RUclips hasn’t been any help answering my questions either. Workshop is up for sale… it’s just not good what ever way I look. Need to find the money for a workshop and get my tools safe… still at least the days are getting lighter! 😊 nah, I’m not a footie fan at all, I might have been in the old days when it wasn’t money oriented but not like it is now.
