    This was awesome. First of all there was great teamwork by both of them. Second of all there was no music. Third of all you could see his joy of the craft when he was doing it and when he stopped. I woodwork and I love doing it. Doing the craft is fun and when your done and you get to see all your hard work it is so rewarding.

    Outstanding! I have two uncles that worked in glass factories back in the 40's and 50's. Both of them in their 80's still talk about how much they loved working with glass!
    Thanks for sharing you are with us! It is truly magnificent!

    This is like therapy and art together, that is cool.
    For the guy who commented "he can make a glass pumpkin but can't make himself smh" i wanna say this .... your comment is sad just like you are, i believe you want to have the power to create something cool just like this guy did, as simple as it is the pumpkin glass he created is still very nice, i do not know how to work with glass at all and if i knew i would like to be steady and patient as this guy seems to be dong his work.
    The road i have to travel on my learning experience on this life is long and i believe i did not travel half of it yet but for you the road is twice as long.

      Micah Montoya As long as the glass doesn't have an air way to allow lots of heated air flow through into the lungs it doesn't really have huge potential to cause serious burns to the throat and lungs.

    I have some questions about this:
    1. Why doesn't the glass burst in the oven if you have blown air in the glass?
    2. Is bursting glass a danger at such a job?
    3. If yes, is wearing an eye protection recommended?

    • @LNasterio

    • @grimreap93
      @grimreap93 10 лет назад +7

      Because the air can escape through the blow tube. If it was shut off it would create a vacuum and break. Bursting glass is a danger at any time. When working with hot sharp things one should wear eye protection. There you go.

      There is a lot of overhead to glass work. The amount of heat required takes an enormous amount of energy (read: money).

    4:08, its looks dangerous! if the air come back, he comes around 1000°C right?

    • @Fennecbutt
      @Fennecbutt 9 лет назад +1

      Pedro Bermudes No, of course not. For the 1000*c temperature air to reach his lungs, it would need to travel the length of the entire tube, it should take more than the volume of air that is in the pumpkin to do that, I would say.

      Pedro Bermudes The mouthpiece is not one way. And anyone that knows how to do this knows not to suck air in because it's really freaking uncomfortable.

      Pedro Bermudes its not like a balloon,.
      There will not be a real buildup of airpressure because the glass expands and does not go back to its original size.

    • @omegaangel

      The air expands due to the intense heat. It will come back out of the pipe, that's why you don't breathe in.
