1 year ago maybe with prices they went up to $21 plus tax now and I noticed the inside piece you said your gonna replace instead of whole box well one at home depot if you open box and inspect it you'll see there not the same the fan plug doesn't match so I did same thing I bought the whole assembly and am planning g on switching out just the inside piece and cleaning out the old box
Before replcing the fan try cleaning it really good it might just have to much dust and crap all over it which is making the fan un even if it still makes sound then replace
These are no brainers...how's about a video replacing a 60 year old Broan 600 series that is no longer in Broan's system...should have been able to do a visusl from below to see it fit
Make sure the fan isn't hung up inside the housing assembly. The fan may stop rotating if the housing is twisted or for some reason interferes with. Good luck ;)
