@@HomeByMon Limewash is pretty expensive. Try using 2 different shades like uuli gray and lava. You will need muslin/ cheese cloth. My mom wants the same thing in her house. I’m thinking that I can do it…. Is the material the same as cement ? Or is it a different material to give the finish of cement?
I think it is a bit different. It's more easy to work with and way smoother than cement. You can ask your local supply stores about a product for walls that's goving that cement look. Mine was called "Concrete Look". But if you're trying it out with cement, let me know how it turned out ☺️💕
Hi , I did my concrete walls in my bedroom 2 weeks ago but I still can't sleep in my room because the smell is so strong .. do you have any tips how to help the smell, my windows been open since but it doesn't seem to be helping . hopefully someone can help me.
Oh no 😥 I'm so sorry to hear you are having troubles with the smell 😔 From what I've read, you can try sprinkle the wall with a light dusting of the baking soda and let it sit overnight. The soda will naturally deodorize the floor and pull the excess moisture, which is typically the cause of the damp smell, out of the concrete. Hope this will help ✌️
That's such a great idea for a shower wall!! 🙌 Did you read the instructions on your package? I used the exact amount of water that was suggested on the package and it worked.
Priming the wall before you do anything, helps with adhesion in general. It preps the surface and makes sure any dust that's collected is removed and the walls are ready to stick in the compound better. It's optional, but I always do it 😉
So beautiful! I love concrete and also Lime wash! Was it really as easy as it looked or did you have to keep going over it? Any particular technique or did you literally just wing it?
Me too! I love concrete and I love limewash since it reminds me of concrete 😅 And I literally just went with it, randomly applying the mixture. However, I was trying to change directions all the time and at the end I went over the places I thought were not as textured as I wanted them to be ☺️
you might gave same effect by using drywall mud with fine sand mixed in it and paint it with concrete gray paint... Why search for special product? Its hard to reproduce the look of concrete when its cast in a form with a trowel. The trowel marks give it away it it looks like bad scratch coat and unfinished project...
Could you have done in another colour, like adding specific shades or tones to the mixture? I want to do the walls this way, plus add some plaster art, but not in concrete grey colour.

I wanted to do this but use joint compound and add a higher gloss black then flat gray and mix it into my 20 gallon bucket of compound. And then I could spray a sealant over it even flat or semi gloss layer ugh I need you . Move to Florida lol I need a friend I’m like the only gay person who has no friends because all I do is work on our house lol
Hey, it's been 1 year and there's not a single crack on this wall and it still looks beautiful. I think this is not real concrete, however. This is a mixture similar to concrete but it's for decorative purposes. Also, I live in Europe and the walls are basically drywall. I was thinking of recreating this look with something else. My first thought was using tile adhesive. You can also find it in grey, or just do it white and then paint it grey to look like concrete ☺️
Yes you can use green joint compound as "cement" add colorant & then seal it with polyacrilic i sprayed mine on but had to plastic everything off if you brush it on it leaves brush marks 3 coats I used ultra flat came out awesome
Hi, we live here in the United States. We actually use cement and did our backsplash in our kitchen and some of our interior walls in our kitchen and it looks great!

Can we still hang shelves over the concrete? Will it chip off or require concrete drill bit etc?

I would like to put this on my wall in thicker perorations to make a faux stone wall Would that work , if the concrete mixture was thicker?

Do you have to paint the wall whote before you put the cement or it dosent matter as long as the wall is clean and smoths
No, you don't, however, you have to add primer ☺️
Looks wonderful but I have to ask if adding 20kgs to a plasterboard will add stress to the wall?
Hmm I am not sure 🤔 We should maybe talk to a professional. This was a brick wall, not a drywall.
Definitely not. It's a small amount of weight distributed over a large area.

can that be polished to mirror shining
