I know, right? That's the feeling he brings to the table for many of us. His voice is different from others, easily recognized and what I have been missing in many years. Country singers might have the same touch, but they are not really there. This guy has brought something new to us listeners. His covers are all speaking for themselves, both those in English, and in Indonesian.
He has a fantastic voice. The lyrics in that song hit hard. Really nice.
I agree that I'm more touched by his version than Adele's. But in a way it reminds me of her first albums. I love his elegant witholding and humility when his sings. Without ever looking at us, it feels his soul comes to pour us into his story.
Seriously, I have never heard a better male voice in my life. For me, he is unmatched. His voice is so soothing to my ears, I cannot give him enough credit. He moves me in every song he sings. He is unbelievable. I totally agree with you 💕
Try to hear Teddy Swims - I Can't Make You Love Me, and other songs. He don''t need a Vocoder or some other Technik to make his voice better, like this guy.
@@herdifreund7715 "This guy" is not using a vocoder or other technics. What you hear, is what he has to offer. Just a guitar, and his voice. It doesnt get any more pure and simple than that. Some reverb for effect sometimes, thats it. I have heard him live, so there is no doubt. He used to play live on the streets, to gather money for his family, to eat. He sounded just the same.
Teddy Swims is a very good singer, but he just doesnt quite do it for me. Its just a matter of taste.
Interesting enough, they both sing "You`re still the one", by Shania Twain. I think Felix does the better cover, although I enjoy Teddy`s voice too. Its just the tone of Felix voice, his deep and rich tone that draws me into him.

@@sarlina1 I didn't say he can't sing. But you wrote that you have never heard ab better male voice. Either you haven't heard many singers yet or there is something else. But hear from 1:41. There ist a lot of echo and something like a litte double layer to put more volume in his voice. Singers like Teddy, Austin, Dimash, and many more don't need something like this. ;-) And yes... sometimes a guy sound better the better he look. But i'm not a girl. Im listening with my ears... not with my sexual hormones.
@@herdifreund7715 You are wrong. The echo you hear, is from the reactor`s recording. Listen to the original video, there is no echo/layers of voices there. Only reverb, something EVERY singer adds. Dimash, Austin, everyone. When it comes to Dimash, I have no ear for his voice. Its too much gymnastics, his belting is not for me, its not at all soothing to my ear. I like Austin, from Home Free, but he is too "clean" for my taste. The same goes to your Teddy. He is just not doing it for me. I like the deeper tone of a voice. More rasp to it. Many do.
I dont care about any looks. I have been a singer myself for 25 years, and my ears are as good as anyone else`s. I am not a fangirl. I am independent, and have had music as my passion (and work) all my life, I have my own small studio. I have heard thousands of singers. If looks mattered, well, then you have Austin, havent you. I did not like your insinuation, sir.

Felix voice and tone are just so unique, just when I close my eyes and just listen purely to his voice....it sounds like, he had that country twang in his voice tone. I guess his acoustic guitar playing kind of reinforcing his way of singing even more.

I have an absolute Gem for your stage presence appraisal. Her name is Amira Willighagen who won Holland’s Got Talent at the age of nine without having a sing,e singing lesson, & even at that age, her stage presence in simply unbelievable. Absolutely no nerves; just loves singing & entertaining people.
Anyway, I won’t go into her journey, but leave a few performances for your consideration. ( I’ve given her age on each of them. )
…. …. Ave Maria by Gomez at the Canisius Church at age 11. Her stillness & emotional interpretation is amazing.
…. …. Nella Fantasia at age 12. ( the live concert performance )
…. …. Gabriella’s Song at age 13. ( again the live concert performance )
…. …. Sound of Music medley at age 15. She sings one octave above the original by Julie Andrews and nails it.

He's actually a street performer at first with only less than a dollar in his pocket a day, but God blessed him with such a cool voice.. Conclusion is nothing is impossible don't ever give up :)

I think one of the reasons why he rarely face the camera when singing is because of the past experiences he had. He has been singing on the street of Jogjakarta for 10 something years only to feed him from hunger. He did try to enter the industry by auditioning on the Indonesian Idol and The Voice Indonesia but sadly he was rejected and and was sent home very early on The Voice. So glad, he didn't give up after receiving so many rejections. He went back to the street singing and surprisingly A hotel manager recognized his talent and offered him singing regularly in the hotel. That's where he make some connections with the awesome people around him today. Thank to you and everyone else on RUclips for supporting the true talents while the industry always put 'the look' first . It is hard to compete in the TV industry with those who have the look and money to create drama.
