Excellent. Maybe push the two clips back a bit from the spine to allow the page edges to better feather for deeper glue penetration. I need to do this soon, so have been trying to speed-think/learn how it's done. Nice simplicity, efficacy and artistry with the trims at the end.
this looks so much simpler than other tutorials / methods for book binding, but is the glue strong enough to hold the pages in securely when you open the book flat, or do they fall out pretty easily?
Cool, very witty thx. A lot more easier than drilling and sewing and cheaper than getting a machine. I ordered some tacky glue, but was wondering if super glue gel would work?
You have to use a glue that has some elasticity to it. Cyanoacrylates become rock hard when set, which is no bueno for a book that will be subject to stresses when read.
I believe we used duct tape in this video, but any designer's tape would also work. The glue is really what is keeping the binding together, so the tape is just there to make it look clean.
You give easy to understand instructions! This is what I was looking for, thank you!
I can't thank you enough for this tutorial. I just printed out 2 digital books and this will bind them perfectly!
Always cool to see an art tutorial and hear super obscure electronic music in the background. Lol.

I love the little "woohoooooo" at the end
Thank-you so much, your comprehensive explanation and tricks made my day...💮
Thank you; I found this while fumbling with the decision to purchase the portable desktop glue binding machine.
This by far is the best method I saw.
Thank you for this quick easy to understand video. I also thank you for not having a cheesy over exaggerated voice. Lol
Thank you! I was looking for a binding I like your method easy peasy 👌🏻 📚
How bout 100+ pages
That was much easier than I imagined.
-Thanks!
Great instruction. I liked your "tadam" in the end 🙂

She used tacky glue. I use the same one. works well. although some bookbinders use a gluegun I believe Tacky is better. also I have seen 365 glue used
@@michaeljillian3657 Is it still glue with 200 papers?

is it okay if I use single sheets?
Can this be used to books with say more than 200 pages? Does it still hold?
Not likely as the more pages the less strength it has so will just fall apart this method only works for those small and flimsy books
