This is reality for most of us. Thanks for showing it.
We all make mistakes, the fact that you work on it yourself and not take in to a shop earns my respect. I own an 2007 6.0 and it's a love hate relationship. I also do my own repairs and upgrades. I have had a fun life with things I could never afford if I had to pay someone else to fix. Keep it up and remember cant never did anything. Take every opportunity to learn and enjoy this automotive lifestyle.

Damn, you have some patience. I was sitting kind of getting mad at the issues. I had a 6.0, it was my dream truck, and that motor turned out to be the biggest POS. Left me stranded so many times.

Buddy just know you are not the only one. Just finished my injector/hpop/oil cooler and intake job yesterday on my 6.0 and it was not without strife. Same time the oil sample from my 24 valve cummins build came back with high (10x) amounts of bearing material with 7k miles on it. Bad days make the good ones better.

I work on these all the time! Use a long shank torx bit to install the injector hold downs or the socket part will run up against the injector solenoid and kill it seen it happen multiple times

Man I feel you. I did the head gaskets on my Tacoma (same as yours basically) last year and realized I installed two right sided gaskets.. had to tear it all back down again and restart. Don’t ask lmao

The last time I used a torque wrench, I read the spec for the wrong model year and snapped a camshaft pulley bolt. Back to counting ugga duggas.

Mikes back!! 😂 man you have more patience than I do but I guess you had no choice considering what you paid for in parts. Glad the injection issue was figured out, bummer about the rear main 😬. Look at it this way…. At least you didn’t spend $90+ thousand like I did for a 23’ 6.7. Ford crammed soo much bs into these new trucks you have to be a NASA engineer to work on them. Facebook marketplace is tempting me to buy a pre EGR or deleted diesel 😂. Can’t wait for the next video 🍻

I've got a 03 6.0 so this is exactly how im feeling right now. Trying to figure out why my truck is intermittently shutting off while driving. Gives me the inspiration to try and get it back on the road.
I got a 05 that happen to me while driving, come to find out my cam sensor pigtail wiggled loose. Give that a check and the crank sensor, good luck👍🏼
