This is the world's first max%, 202 berries Deathless Celeste run, also known as True 100% Deathless.
Before you ask why I appear to have "1 Death": The intro of the video contains an FAQ and a brief explanation of what this run is.

This run includes:
All Strawberries (red berries); All Hearts; All Tapes; All Full Clears; All A sides; All B sides; All C sides; Farewell; the Moon Berry; Pico-8 Celeste Classic Full Clear; the Winged Golden Berry; and All Golden Berries, so I had to do every level TWICE.
This took over 1.600 hours, done throughout 2 years of practice for the Deathless run.
I have done 100% Deathless back in March, and I managed to fluke 202 Deathless on the same savefile; but it was never in a single session.
Now, after more than 1000 hours of trying after that, I managed to do it all in a single run. Being nervous and fatigued made an incredible difference.
This run is also known as max% or 202 berries run, and it also includes ALL achievements, and Pico-8 with all berries.
The difference of a 100% run and a 202 run, is that after finishing 100% of the game, I have to do every individual level again with no deaths, to collect the golden berries. At first I thought this was redundant; but now it is included in the run.
The run takes almost 5 hours of continuous flawless gameplay, compared to the 3 hours in a single 100% Deathless.
This was definitely the hardest thing I've ever done in my life, and I'm really proud of it.

Trying to beat all the C sides today and the number of deaths I clock up per level proves how inhuman and monumental this achievement is. Possibly the greatest video game feat ever completed.
Very far from it, there are so many harder challenges!

I feel like this and the Hades 64 heat run are almost equally impressive. And if there is a harder gaming challenge out there, I'd love to watch it! I think Rick is just being humble.

@@Rickfernello The only thing I can think of that is harder but theoretically doable is Any Radiance 3.0.
I just got my 201st berry, and I have a lot of respect for the people who have managed to get the Farewell golden strawberry. I consider that to be one of the hardest achievements in gaming. So to see that you have done EVERYTHING in the game without dying is so astonishing that I didn't even believe it was real at first. This is a remarkable feat that I'm sure will go down in history. You should be extremely proud of yourself. Huge congratulations!

It's unbelievable that a human managed to achieve something like this. Only an actual god among gods can achieve skill even close to this and keep such level of determination throughout the whole journey. This is an epitome of gaming.

I personally believe this is real. Your excitement its very genuine, that's what I know 100%. I'm an actor and I can tell when someone is acting, oomfie (even professionally). oh now I see that you also didn't take breaks from gameplay and did it all in one sitting. Well, that's more than just a deathless game completion, bestie. Plus, editing game save files is HARD. Next time do things like this without a supervisor and use a vtuber model when doing that. Otherwise it's not as cute, see you!

Man, it took me 12 hours and 3600 deaths for farewell and your doing the golden consistently! Genuinely such a crazy accomplishment!

Goombs got 100% wr too! There were also two top 5 verifications for geometry dash on the same day as the 202 deathless but that’s GD not celeste.

Just finished watching the run. I'm convinced that what you did is nearly impossible. The amount of time to even complete this run is unfathomable to me, let alone how long it even took you to get this perfect run. You might just be one of the greatest people I have ever encountered on the internet. This is truly one of the greatest achievements in gaming ever.

...I consider Teej's 202 berries run to be one of the greatest gaming feats of all-time, up there with the longest Dark Souls franchise no-hit marathon, Halo 2 LASO No Envy, and the coveted SM64 16-star World Record. This run belongs right alongside all of them! To play with near perfection for five hours in a game that requires very high precision at times is uncanny. Karl Jobst would be missing out BIG TIME by not capitalizing on this achievement!

This deserves ALOT more recognition than it has... the amount of effort to make hard things become trivial to do back to back is hard, but to consistently be able to do it for things that takes hundreds of hours just to get 1 segment (i.e. something like farewell) is another, then pair that with having 5 hours of running (for just this run, excluding however much time was in the previous run) and then the pressure at the very end particularilly once your body is an absolute nervous wreck feels near impossible to perform. It is an absolutely wonderous run... well done.

I wasn't too tired from the start of the other run; if I remember correctly, this was only the second run of that day! As you can see at the beginning, I wasn't super far in the first run either.

Just got into Celeste and this completely blew my mind. So much time put into such a technical game, using keyboard and controller, talking to chat, and using advanced tech. You surely deserved this, and I can only imagine the blood and tears that were put into this

At first when I was doing 100% deathless, it wasn't that much effort since I enjoyed doing it.
After I got it and went to 202 deathless, it can really be described like blood and tears.

Been watching this for the past few days, and wow - what a journey. I would be lying if I said I didn't get emotional at the end. To think this was all done in one sitting, that takes mad talent. And even though I knew this was the deathless run, I couldn't help but be at the edge of my seat during the tense moments. It's so impressive that you persisted during the 1600 hours this took, this really does motivate me to finish 3ag and get the moonberry.

This game is definitely my favorite because of how the story made me feel and the community around it always felt so warm.. I myself don't speedrun it but I've played it a lot and I vowed to one day at least get all the golden berries (I've finished all the chapters and all the collectibles other than most of the golden, I did like 3 golden total)
Knowing someone out there did it in a single run and knowing you've spent SOOOOOOO much time and effort into this and the dedication is simply admirable.

Truly a celestial achievement. And when I say celestial, it's not just in use as a pun. I'm 100% serious. This is literally something surreal, thus celestial is very much fitting.
Almost five years after the release of the game, and someone has managed this immense achievement.
I hope they put an easter egg of your achievement somewhere in the game, with gold letters carved into the stone of the mountain core. Because as Dragonakout said, you not only carved yourself into gaming history, but you did it and made it shine like gold.

I'm honestly just impressed at how amazingly it went, with so many times you said that you didn't think it would happen and so many times you just kept going because why not. It was insane seeing just how unlikely you thought it was earlier, before finding yourself at the end of 7C with that gold berry, the last one you needed to finish.
The fact that not even you thought it would happen should speak volumes to the immensity of this achievement, and I hope you can look back on this five years in the future and smile, knowing you etched your name not in the stone of Celeste Mountain, but in the very depths of the core.
And in gold, of course.
Perhaps on the five-year anniversary the developers will honor this surreal achievement in the game. I sure hope they do, this is something that deserves it.

@@Rickfernello Who knows? This achievement has only been completed within the past two weeks, and while news like this travels fast, there's always those who don't hear of it this quickly. I'm just happy to have been around within this timeframe. Perhaps they'll see it soon, perhaps not. But I can say that you have definitely taken your place in the world of gaming, with such a difficult game and goal being completed without a true death.
Just keep your eyes open for if one of them says something. I hope that you keep going from here, a run like this used to be considered impossible- perhaps now you can go on to the next impossible thing, and prove it possible.
It's people like you, who take years of effort for things that seem so simple, that impress me the most. So much effort and so far the reward has been primarily the excitement and thrill of having been the first, along with some recognition.
I can only wish I had that sort of chance, let alone that sort of success. But perhaps I can make my difference elsewhere. One would be surprised how much words on a screen can do to someone, or perhaps for someone.

The bestest achievement I've gotten playing Celeste, is beating Farewell, and that was not long after the chapter first came out. Other than that I more or less recently replayed the base game.
