I was just wondering if 20:30 is a good time to start the season with? I would really appreciate it if anyone knows! Thxs
I'd say the sky's the limit. I didn't even run freshman year, and at the start of Sophomore year I ran around 21:20 at a C-Team race, but by the end of junior year, I ended up running 16:46 at the 2017 NXR Heartland Regionals. I never had a huge breakthrough race, either. I just consistently dropped 20-30 seconds per race over the course of a little more than a year. Everyone's different, of course, but I digress. 20:30 is completely fine, and as long as you're willing to put in the effort, anything's possible.

I have a pair of Aftershock headphones and use them with my Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music. I load podcasts or music on the watch and pair it with the headphones. No need for a separate mp3 player. I've tried several mp3 headphones, even the Sony Walkman 4GB Headphone-Integrated NW-WS413, for $80. Nothing ever lasted more than about 6 months. I've been using the Vivoactive 3M and the Aftershocks several days per week for more than a year. They're still like new. "Suggest" that Garmin send you a Vivoactive 3M. You'll love it.
I just started out cross country about 2 and a half weeks ago I’m a girl 13 I’m 5’5 and exactly 100 pounds I can run a mile in about 12.3 minutes ( not the best but not the worst ) any tips on improvement I’ll take anything that will help me be better :)) 💗
I'm 12 in 7th grade and I'm in cross country too. My mile pr is 7:13 and one thing you need to know is to stay really hydrated. Drink lots of water throughout the day and bring some to practice. Also pace yourself while running long distance try keeping a constant pace. If you need to walk, limit yourself to 10 seconds at a time.

20:09 was my PR for the entire season and I would pretty consistently get into the top 15 so I’d say you’re doing pretty good

Adolphe L. Deep breaths, it helps so much! Every so often take 3 seconds in and 3 seconds out slow breathing but also keep your eyes up when running
