I have 4 rides in with the new RC Tallac and they are dooooooooope. Straight up even competitor with my 5s. Even better for me. Better features. Rubber is the same to me but more grip on the ground. Better fit. Better overall IMO. Most I've spent on a bike shoe and very pleased so far. Bought same pair for the wife and she says same thing.
curious if the Tallac is wider in the toebox than other RC shoes (I've tried all their models and they're on the narrow side for me and I returned em all). Is the cordura mesh breathable? I'm looking for a shoe that won't sweatbox my feet this summer, and wonder if the Tallac mesh upper is really actually 'mesh' ?
@@jokermtb great questions. I have a fairly average-width foot. I like the more snug feeling over the looser, wider 5-10s. They might be too snug for wider foot. I still likey Freerides but they are for sure looser in fore-foot. The mesh is breathable. I was just riding Sedona and my feet were coated in that fine red powder each ride. The dust came in through the mesh upper. And there was one windy day when I swear I felt the wind thru top of shoe. Not prominent but noticeable. The best features for me are the extra grippy sole and heavy texturing around toe and heel for hike-a-biking and the more snug fit - I don't want to feel the slightest bit of movement inside the shoe when smashing down something steep n janky. Hope that helps.
@@TheRicardoSanchez Thanks for the detailed information - seems like they might be a good summer shoe if the red sedona dust found it's way thru. cheers
How deep is the heel pocket on these? I have a very bony and high heel that never quite sinks into some of the other low-top ride concept shoes, but I love how the high tops cradle my foot. Just wish I could get that same heel hold in a less burly and non-breathable build
I just returned a RC Tallac shoe. The sole was too thick and the grip wasn't anywhere near 5.10. Took it for a quick technical circuit and it gave me zero confidence on from wheel pivots. It always feels like your feet is gonna come of if you release the pressure even by a little and it feels like there is a 2x4 between my foot the the pedal... minimal pedal feel! Not for me! A nice tip i can give are the evolve approach shoes. They aren't very rigid so your feed get sore after some time on long rides but the grip and the pedal feel are great!

Peaty’s are also releasing a new tyre plug tool in May which looks sweet 👌🏼

Eminent looks very very interesting. Interested to see long-term reliability with all those moving parts.
Holy shit that was a fast intro, I thought I had 1.5 playback speed on :)
Revel just released their 29er Rail too 🔥

kinda a deal braker - no touchscreen fingertips - for gloves. It's 2022, all gloves should have this by now. Sticking with my Leatt gloves.
Why aren’t manufacturers producing casual looking shirts with back pockets? Giro make some - any others??!!
Plz add afton shoes on your reviews
We have tried Afton's flat pedal shoes previously, the shoe is nice enough but we were let down by the grip on offer.
@@vitalmtb that's bad I really like there clipless shoes

Ride concepts have a cheap fit and feel in my opinion. Overhyped.
I love my RC wild cats. Been riding in them for 2 years and they are still holding strong
