I heard this cover for the first time this week on my drive to Vegas. It was on my Spotify Weekly Discoveries Playlist. I enjoyed this cover so much that I played at least 10 times on the 3 hour drive. It's also added to my personal list.
Nice version of the Human Leagues 80S classic. I was a teenager when the original was in the UK charts..... The Human League was one of my favourite synth bands when I was a kid God I'm old 🤣😂. This was a good remake, however I do all prefer the original over it. It's in my top 10 favorites from the actual decade. I do love it when a person who typically just produces non lyrical music partners up with a good singer though. I've been searching for a remake that surpasses the original of Everybody Wants to Rule the World, and listened to dozens, but that one seems to be untouchable. That's my single favorite 80s song.
I still favor the original, even if it's sounds like a crossover between the Human League and Ralph Tresvant. Now I want to hear, I'm only human & Money can't buy me love...
