Just getting my comment in before Niko. Always a big fan of 5+ part arrangements as it always means crunchy extended chords! A classic song choice Tim and sung wonderfully as usual.
I'm an old barbershopper... haven't been able to sing with a quartet or chorus in quite a few years. I love you and your channel. Thank you for keeping my passion alive. You make me smile, cry, and share.
I just close my eyes and listen! Absolutely beautiful! Of course I alway cry when I hear this! When I open my eyes I see my wonderful son and the beautiful background!
Beautiful!! This song has a lot of meaning for me. When my dad was in college some 35ish years ago he sang this with his a capella group, and he sang the solo in the first verse. I am now studying Vocal performance in college, but when I was in 8th grade we did this piece at district chorus, and I almost got that same solo! They narrowed it down to me and one other person, but I forgot the words twice in a row and they ended up giving it to the other guy (and then if I remember correctly he ended up messing up the words in the concert lol). Recently however, my dad's a capella group released a bunch of old recordings, and I found the one with him singing the solo! It was really incredible to hear what he sounded like back when he was my age, and how similar our voices are. It was a really amazing full circle moment. This piece will always remind me of him, and I know that one day, when he is gone, (don't worry he's in his mid 50's and in great health) I will come back to that recording of him singing it and sing right along with him and be reminded of how beautiful his voice was. Thank you, Tim.
Who's cutting the onions!? Sheesh, I wasn't really ready for this, but dang that was beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing this goodness with the world!
Tim, you are just phenomenal! My family gets so much joy out of sharing your videos with each other. I mean this with all sincerity, but please enter AGT. You could play three or more tracks of yourself on the screen and sing the other live. It would be something they’ve never seen before and you would for sure win over the audience and judges. Your RUclips channel is already 🔥, but lookout after that. PLEASE, the world needs to see you and your talent!!
Wow! A song that's not barbershop! I didn't know you did those, Tim. This song is special to me because my high school chamber choir sang it every year for spring concert and baccalaureate. Every time half the choir cried.
I love this King’s Singers arrangement. To be honest, the first thing I thought when I saw the thumbnail was that it was another one from the same album, And So It Goes, which is also a gem. I hope you’ll do that one someday, but in the meanwhile I’ll stick with listening to this beautiful rendition of the other.
Brought be back to 2000 when i learned this song simply because it’s what the high school choir sung in the choir room before every performance. Never saw any music. Seemed too sacred to see it written. Thanks for bringing back the memories.
I love just how soothing this arrangement is. I am just starting college. This song genuinely gave me pause, made me feel more comfortable going it alone sometimes. Thank you for posting this when you have, it has genuinely helped me.
I wholeheartedly agree, I got to hear The King’s Singers twice at UGA between 1999-2003. Absolutely amazing performances. Just hearing voices without music is a pure art form.
God, Tim! Your voice and attention to intonation and properly adjusting the notes of the chords is phenomenal. I LOVE this piece, and your singing does it more than justice. Keep at it! You sound amazing!
What a beautiful song, so beautifully sung. The background of peaceful water slowly “floating” really makes this a serene, healing melody… so masterfully performed! Such talent, Tim! You’re truly a master!! Bravo!!!
The last bass note is right in my wheelhouse and ive got power down there. Nut your ability to deliver it - with your upper ranger mastery - is what sets you superior to all comers. Ive added this ad only the 3rd song to be played at my memorial service. It touches many deeply spilling emotions over the dam
seeing you get nicked in the face by a rogue leaf at 2:24 is exactly what i needed today, such a beautiful song and what a great recovery from that little mishap :)
Truly incredible and beautiful Tim, even with one part, you never EVER fail to send a shiver down my spine no matter what song it is. And there’s 6 of you which just makes it 6 times more stellar
Excellent work as always, Tim! This was my favorite song that we sang in HS choir. I loved how you lingered at the end of some of those phrases and let the chords ring!
I’m loving the 5+ part arrangements! I wish I could support you on Patreon but I’m a broke college student in America. :( keep up the awesome work Tim!!!
Always a highlight of my week. I was expecting the song by J.D. Sumner and wondering how you were going to pull that off. But this is a beautiful song too.
Another Waurick masterpiece. If it takes as much work as I think it must, to put this all together, timing everything to the millisecond, I am amazed. There is probably some hi tech equipment involved. So starting with the great voice and melding all the different pieces together is brilliant. Well done!
❤ Tim, I've been listening to this song since I was in college, myself. Have absolutely loved this tune for decades and it's on my list of songs to suggest to my current quartet. I *LOVE* this arrangement, because it preserves so much of James Taylor's original, which - in my own opinion - hasn't had a better treatment than JT's original until now ;-). I didn't have access to a lot of tech back then (my brothers are both programmers and, at the time, the most advanced tech we had at home was my older brother's Atari 800XL). But I did record my own acapella version of the tune using both my and my brother's cassette tape decks (using the "sound-on-sound" technique). Sadly, that recording no longer survives, but I am so happy to have heard this done with such love and care. Thank you.
Nice job. It’s a song that I’ve sang a lot over the years myself too and in fact, I’m meeting with some guys to do it next week for the first time (again!).
Yes! Love this song and you sounded so good as always! I actually sang this in my local community college choir a couple years ago. It was only four parts tho. But this sounds awesome with six!

Aww thanks so much mom! Love you!
James Taylor would be proud of this simple version. My favorite JT song.
Beautiful! Harmonies like a warm blanket and a cup of hot chocolate on a cold winter’s day - what more could anyone want?
That sounds great to me! Thank you!!

Here is the one with my dad!

We sing this as our traditional piece for my jazz choir, this is the most beautiful recording of it I’ve ever heard of it, keep up the good work dude
Wow thank you so much!!
Couldn't help but notice the leaf slapping you in the face at 2:24. Good job on keeping it together lol
Haha! I couldn’t help but notice either! 😂
One of my favorites that The Kings Singers does. You captured their tight, intimate harmonies wonderfully! Well done!
a blessed day whenever Tim decides to share his gift with us

So glad I'm on school holidays so I can finally watch TimTags as soon as possible. Rip the 12 am releases.
I’m glad too!

Same here! this came out during my first class of the day, where I'm doing an independent project to archive material about barbershop quartets.
Love hearing this…I’m so glad it helped you! That’s why I do this. Best of luck with college! I’m sure you’re going to do great!
That’s awesome!! Really cool!
The males in my high school choir sang this after becoming obsessed with the King's Singers! What a memory this video brought back. Thank you!
Have LOVED this song since I heard The King's Singers do it live many moons ago...getting chills just thinking about how well you are going to do it!!
Thank you!!
I wholeheartedly agree, I got to hear The King’s Singers twice at UGA between 1999-2003. Absolutely amazing performances. Just hearing voices without music is a pure art form.
6 Tims!!!! One day, may we be blessed with a 100 Tim video! One can only dream...
Oh boy, I better get to work!
@@TimWaurickMusic haha🤣
Oh man, 'soon as that first chord hit I had to stop what I was doing cause I knew I was in for a cry.
I get a chill on the word "moon" every time -- that resolving dissonance AHHHHH!
God, Tim! Your voice and attention to intonation and properly adjusting the notes of the chords is phenomenal. I LOVE this piece, and your singing does it more than justice. Keep at it! You sound amazing!
I really enjoy listening to you. I use to sing in a barbershop chorus. I'm hoping to get back into singing.
Thank you! I hope so too!
An absolute masterclass in control, variety of tone, balance and sheer harmonic beauty.
Astounding.
Thank you.
Thank you!!!
I had a chance to sing this song a cappella maybe 10 years ago (I'm dating myself) and I love this arrangement more than the one I was apart of.
Even after years of being a fan, you deliver yet another stunning performance that leaves me breathless. Thank you. 💜
Thank you!!!
It's been a few months since I first watched one of your videos, I think I haven't missed one since
I must say, you are truly amazing
Is this the same arrangement that the King's Singers recorded forever ago? Simply fantastic.
It is. Absolutely gorgeous
What a beautiful song, so beautifully sung. The background of peaceful water slowly “floating” really makes this a serene, healing melody… so masterfully performed!
Such talent, Tim! You’re truly a master!!
Bravo!!!
Thanks so much, Michael!!
Was not expecting that last chord from the previous one, what a delightful surprise, had to listen 5 more times… thanks for all you do 🎼👍😀

Holy just intonation, Batman!
Goodness gracious, Tim 🥺 this is so beautiful 🤍🤍🤍
Perfection!!! I want to sing with you. About 1 octave below you!!!
seeing you get nicked in the face by a rogue leaf at 2:24 is exactly what i needed today, such a beautiful song and what a great recovery from that little mishap :)
Hey, Tim! This piece is truly beautiful, especially the 6-part harmony. Truly remarkable and excellent.
Truly incredible and beautiful Tim, even with one part, you never EVER fail to send a shiver down my spine no matter what song it is. And there’s 6 of you which just makes it 6 times more stellar
Thank you so much!!
Your ballads are always top-tier, Tim!
Thank you!!
So so nice and warm Thank you.
Fantastic!!!
It’s nice to hear the change in tone of your voice over time.
Jesus christ every once in a while i get back into your videos. Thank you for blessing ys.

Beautiful song❤
This made me cry.

Tim, all I can say is brother you can sing that was beautiful
This was REALLY good
As I sing along I realize I don’t have the lungs I used to.
Guess I’ll just have to depend on you Tim thanks
So beautiful. I would like to hear you sing full songs.
How did you manage to combine that peaceful background with such perfect sound quality?
Thank you Tim for sharing absolutely beautiful
Thank you!!
Awesome job! Always fun to see the different backgrounds on these! Just saying, I would love to have a tag album in Spotify!
So comforting and beautiful
Nice job. It’s a song that I’ve sang a lot over the years myself too and in fact, I’m meeting with some guys to do it next week for the first time (again!).
Lovely work a always, Tim. It was great to see you in Auckland last weekend, and thanks for introducing @Benchmarkfour in the concert.

Wow
Yes! Love this song and you sounded so good as always! I actually sang this in my local community college choir a couple years ago. It was only four parts tho. But this sounds awesome with six!
Thanks, Brady! That’s cool!
Simon Carrington of Kings Singers fame? Certainly in the same league!
That’s correct!
Those falsettos! Bravo!
Thank you!
Nice job!

❤
that sus4 at 0:39 🤤
I think you mean add9 haha
Beautiful song but I have to say a let down of an ending not in the way that Tim sang it of course just in the way it was written 🤷
you sing with insane dissonance
Thank you!!
