Sometimes people don't know what the hold up in a relationship is and why not go with it if the passion is there but there are many things we don't deal with on our own (we aren't challenged with them while we are alone) that come up once we work together with another person; like I'm very comfortable sleeping alone in my bed but I have trouble falling asleep if someone else is there and go into guardian mode.
