  • High pace and quick changes, a modular synth setup and a focus on the improvised live performance.
Born in Poland in 1978, Michał Krajczok grew up in Upper Silesia, moved to Germany's "Ruhrpott" in 1988 and has lived in Berlin since 2003. He is a sound designer, musician and sound artist, and holds a degree in sound engineering from the Film University in Potsdam.
His work includes sound and music for animation and feature films, documentaries and radio plays, and his profession covers all areas of film sound post-production.
For several years he has been exploring different activities and art forms, composing music and sound for stage plays and gaining experience as a workshop teacher.
After several band projects, he now focuses on his solo project GAŁGAŁ, based on live improvisation with a modular synthesizer. Although danceable, Michał likes to improvise with strange and loose patterns, transforming originally beat-oriented material into an illegible and noisy paste. His current focus is on modified acoustic and electronic instruments, which he samples and uses within the modular synthesizer.
