A lot of the time victims of abuse will end up becoming abusers themselves because to them its been normalized or because they want people to feel how they felt. I personally don't get that mindset and would not want someone to go through the same things I did if I was abused but it is a thing that happens. My daughter was found in different states twice, but when their police checked they said that NO MiSSING PERSON REPORT had been filed (she had been gone five days when they found her) even though the person who I talked to in Michigan said that they put her on the national missing person registry. This happened not once, but twice. Two different states told me the same thing; that when they looked she wasn't on it. So when I called the GRPD people back and asked if it "costs money or something to get someone put on the registry?" they told me no, and that they had put her on it.

The anguish a parent goes through when they lose their child is unfathomable when everyone knows it could have been prevented if the laws were designed specifically to protect the children and not a BAD parents rights.
