Check the description of the Salami to see why they don't stack. Well, sort of.

While I know that the "bloodguzzlers" garb is most likely meant for barbarians and monks for their unarmored defense bonus. I could never make Karlach wear something with a name like that.

Yeah, the name is weird. I mostly blanked that bit.

Interesting encounter, fighting on boats going downstream. Shame it's on such shaky ground (literally).

Also enjoyed your RPing of Eve during that encounter. XD

if it helps casting aid at the start of the day on a high level makes you way less squishy

Aid is not really a good use of a level 2 (or higher) spell slot unless you just absolutely don't have anything better to cast, in part as it becomes less useful the higher one's level is. It might be a bit more practical in this game since the duration likely lasts until a long rest and the player can have a party member they don't normally use join long enough to cast it on the rest of the party but I'm still not sure it's a spell I myself would ever go out of my way to prepare to use myself.

I dissagree. Its often worth the spellslot up until 5th level in my opinion 5-15 extra hitpoint may not seem like mutch but its max health. Meaning you can recover them with short rests/healing potions. And it effectivly gives you the hitpoints as if your 1 or 2 levels higher for the day. Sure it has no noticeable effect but try it out en count everytime you are left with only those extra hitpoints and you'll notice just how helpfull it is. Sure you lose 1 spellslot but you get one of the strongest buffs in the game.
And it even effects summons as a nice bonus.

@@freakingpices5780 I have used the spell before and considering most buffs in 5e are concentration based Aid having a long duration and not requiring concentration does make it useful, especially at lower levels. I should have clarified that in the 70+ session campaign I was in as a Life Cleric that went from level 10 to 20 I myself never felt that 5 extra hp to be the difference between victory and loss (especially with having over 200 hp at level 20), but then I also never used Bless and many players swear it as one of the best buffs in the game and a mainstay for clerics so I obviously play differently than most players.
