Back when ROBLOX users were actually creative. Nowadays the only games that get any recognition are either overhyped generic AAA game clones like Phantom Forces and Jailbreak, or ODer nests like MeepCity and ROBLOX High School.
NOT ONE of these games had more work put in to them as Phantom Forces. NONE of the games then had as much work put into them as just this ONE game now. Think about that. Just ONE game now has more work put into it than ALL the games then. ONE.

You don't understand, to integrate into the community of four-year-olds you've got to purchase a fancy hat using robux, witch you can only acquire using real cash, and the Roblox mods try to find every way to suck the money out of you.

Remember when it was an actual community of creators who used it as a legitimate platform for their creations. Hell back in 2009 my place was on the front page for a few hours. It was a great place for everyone to experience something new all the time. Now it's just a place for ODers and hackers to troll. I can't even remember the last time I went on ROBLOX and didn't see the same goddamn places on the front page every..single..time. I'm just wishing someone with enough balls would somehow get the old ROBLOX Engine and make their own website where all of the old games can be played. I went on a little nostalgia trip through my old favorites and well over 75% of them no longer worked due to updates.
Although I joined in 2008, I am going to have to say that nowadays everything actually looks better. The community was one heck of alot better back then, I am still going to have to say that the website does look better...
This is truly a fantastic time capsule. Though I did not play ROBLOX in 2009, I still enjoy looking at this. However, ROBLOX has changed a lot since this video was released, so I don’t expect this version of ROBLOX to ever return.

My opinions of Roblox over the years: (feel free to point anything out or state your own opinions in the comments.) 2006: I wasn't here, but it was probably barren yet simpler, less toxic and fun 2007: Still very simple but still fun 2008: Simple and fun 2009: The community started to expand and talk more and more 2010: When things started to get amazing. The golden age started here in my opinion 2011: Awesome games, awesome community 2012: Even better games and better community, updates were actually good 2013: The egg hunt started, better games, really good community 2014: The year my original account joined, I had lots of fun during this time. Community was cool, games were actually fun and original, that sort of thing. 2015: Things started getting a bit worse but the community was still pretty good and games were still fun to play. 2016: The golden age ended here in my opinion. The year tix was removed, the year my original account was terminated for saying "shid" on the forums, the year the invasion of Oders started yet things were still alright and games were still fun. 2017: Similar to 2016 except the community has more Oders, and the company rebranded in a way I don't like. 2018: This is when things got bad, the last actually good egg hunt took place this year. Rthro was also added this year and it sucks. Games are getting copyrighted, Devs are becoming less motivated. 2019: Rthro really starts getting shoved down our throats, Ro gangsters start becoming wide spread, the community is more toxic, Oders are everywhere, games are not fun or well made anymore. 2020: The community straight up sucks now, games are not good 2021: So far this year has had the cancelation of the egg hunt, more rthro shoved down our throats and the community is a toxic cesspool. Most smaller devs have given up, a lot of older games are broken, gears don't work, games, music and other things get copyrighted, there is a lot of bad UGC, ro-gangsters, aesthetics, online daters and toxic people are everywhere. The game is not what it used to be nor is the community.
one of the most toxic things ive seen is big devs taking down competing games by smaller devs by filing a copyright claim with the copyright claim itself saying some bs like owning the copyright to the whole genre and if the smaller dev doesnt respond in 24 hours then the game gets deleted

I need to play more, build more, and become really good at it! Maybe even famous!" But honestly, there were no "golden days" Right now ARE the golden days, everything back then looked crappy and games had little effort and reached the front page, everyone looks plain and looked the same with few items to change your look, it was less complex, and so it would get boring if it stayed the same, out with the old and in with the new, i always say.
I am such a veteran of ROBLOX, I joined ROBLOX in 2007, back then everything was fun, loose and simple. Nowadays, things are repetitive, boring and every single game I play is just a ripoff or remake of another popular game. I'd rather play the actual game than see a mock-up.

I am such a veteran of ROBLOX, I joined ROBLOX in 2007, back then everything was fun, loose and simple. Nowadays, things are repetitive, boring and every single game I play is just a ripoff or remake of another popular game. I'd rather play the actual game than see a mock-up.

It's not hackers, it's exploiters. It would be because there was a lack of programmers with the right mind to create an exploit. It's way harder to create exploits because:
-roblox_lua_state can't be accessed.
-loadstrings won't communicate with bytecode.
After the Project Stigma incident, exploits now cost money. Right now, nyx is for sale on steam for $25, sold by R3aver_...
