Love the overland maps! I have recently realised how soothing drawing coloured maps can be while playing D100 Dungeon.
The idea of generating the large-scale map using Pocketlands (or any other terrain-generation method, for what it's worth) which then can be played on the "dungeon scale" is pretty great, and it opens up a lot of possibilities. It also makes me want to design my own tables to populate missing terrain types (arctic, desert, jungle, swamp, etc.).
The Facebook group Four Against Darkness Adventurers’ Guild has many fan-created additions, I think that’s where I found swamp tables. There was also discussions about desert related content, it worth checking!
This is terrific! I was just dreaming up a camping idea I was just calling "set a watch" after a board game.
The party could set camp if they are in the wilderness at night and you can assign or roll to assign each party member a job from a list of many jobs like, lookout, chopping wood, cooking, foraging or whatever.
There could be easy or complex rules for fatigue, having one person stay up all night to reduce chance of being attacked or robbed.
That is just the basic idea.
Actually in the Lantern issue#3, there is an adventure about preparing for the night, it can be expanded with more options! Check my latest short for a glimpse, and if you come up with something kind of a supplement, you can share it in the fb group Four Against Darkness Adventurer’s Guild! 😊
Very interesting, thank you for sharing
You are doing exactly what I wanted to do but could never figure out how to do! I’ve put your videos in my 4AD playlist for reference and plan to follow the same idea. I want the adventure. I want to create the world as I go and I want to build a story with my characters too. I want to create maps of the worlds. I think it would be nice to share them someday. 😊
Go on! 🤩 And please, share your journal later in the Four Against Darkness Adventurers’ Guild Facebook group, we always love to see and read the adventures! 😍
I love the draws. Im realy into "miniature drawings". The lack of big details make the viewer imaginate them.
Thank you for this. Could you please include in the description some links to the supplements you mention?
I collected them, you can find an updated description! 😉
