Wengen Switzerland + Hotel Edelweiss - Aug. 2023

We chose Wengen, particularly Hotel Edelweiss as our base for our Swiss Summer in the Bernese Oberland region. Besides the closer proximity to skiing and day hiking and the serenity, the Alpine views down and across the Lauterbrunnen valley below the village are breathtaking and world-class and immersively closer than those from Interlaken. While Switzerland is generally expensive already, both Wengen and Lauterbrunnen are considered more expensive so plan for your stay accordingly.
It took me a lot of research to decide on a hotel in Wengen and ultimately, Hotel Edelweiss won us over due to the amount of glowing reviews and we're happy to report that it was worth all the hype. The place was clean, had the best views, had such warm and incredible staff, and while pricey, we found it a good value for money. Special hello to Daniel and Thomas who took great care of us! :)
