To put it in perspective, the UK is broadly the same size as Florida (but without the tropical storms). The difference is we have about a third the population of the entire US, so population density argues in favour of more musicians getting together. Not always harmoniously, as you see.

Are you kidding? Britain is famous for its rock music. We have produced more bestselling and unique artists of any nation on the planet, except for the US with whom we are neck and neck. However, relative to our population size, the UK’s output of world-class music is literally second to NONE. This video only covers a few of them. The Beatles changed it all. They became SO big they over-ruled the record companies set in their stereotyped ways and produced exactly what they wanted. America invented R&R, British bands took it, shook it and improved it with new ideas.

Best live band by a mile was The Who the clip shown was crap. I suggest you watch The Who playing "Young Man Blues" at the Isle of Wight Festival 1970. Lep Zep shared the stage with them once and The Who blew them off the stage. Robert Plant said the best live band he ever saw was The Who.
LOL. Dude, Pete Townsends can only play chords and smash guitars. And he's too dumb and egotistical to realize he should never pick up a mic if Rodger Daltrey is your lead singer. You gave one example of the Who playing One song epically. When Zeppelin has a whole concert called "The Song Remains the Same" that is considered an all time great performance by like everybody. Everyone thats into rock has heard of this concert. Name one concert everyone has heard of by the Who? I did see the Who three times when I Was young because my best buddy was a huge Who fan. And I am not saying they are not good in concert. But come on man. Stay in your lane.
Myth. The Who never blew Zeppelin off stage. Consensus was that they were about equal that day. Zeppelin were new however, but The Who were already seasoned. Zeppelin at their peak were superior live to the Who. Three hour shows that were never the sane each night.
@@lyndoncmp5751 Robert Plant wouldn`t agree with you. Those 3hr shows consisted of mostly blues and rock covers and old English folk numbers thrown in including a 20min drum solo. To put it in perspective, the UK is broadly the same size as Florida (but without the tropical storms). The difference is we have about a third the population of the entire US, so population density argues in favour of more musicians getting together. Not always harmoniously, as you see.
I grow up listen to heavly rock and still listen today age 64
Are you OK, Papa? You nearly fell off your chair. Now that's a reaction.😲 Shame they blocked out most of the tunes, but it was good to see you sing along, knowing all the words. We obviously have had a larger influence on your upbringing than you thought. Deeper dive on some of these artists (GOATs) please. I have seen a lot of these artists live. From Yorkshire
I will never understand the silences on this video every time a rock band is singing a song.. First and last time, I entered this site.
They should look at all the British singles on the Billboard since its start,, think there's a video for it
Are you kidding? Britain is famous for its rock music. We have produced more bestselling and unique artists of any nation on the planet, except for the US with whom we are neck and neck. However, relative to our population size, the UK’s output of world-class music is literally second to NONE. This video only covers a few of them. We have given the world hundreds upon hundreds of musical artists in every era and every genre.
Britain has the best bands full stop. Something the Septic Tanks can't argue with.
The two guys look so disappointed that they have liked british bands music and like American music / bands only
Pink Floyd are just so, so British😂😂👍
Guys I know it's all new to you but, The Uk Dominated the world with their Rock and Pioneered it!!! We have the greatest bands of all time that most US counter parts look upto! Heavy Metal, Punk and many more styles were started over in this Little Island. Black Sabbath Metal pioneers, Iron Maiden the list is endless....
You should react to British Modern Band's that cracked the US by Watch Mojo also
If you took out the “British” in the “Top 10 grates British rock bands” title, the list would still be the same.
its easy all top rock bands come from britain, even slash from guns and roses is british
none of the bands moved to america when they were young
The Beatles changed it all. They became SO big they over-ruled the record companies set in their stereotyped ways and produced exactly what they wanted. America invented R&R, British bands took it, shook it and improved it with new ideas.
haaaaaaaaa americans followed us.
It`s in print from people that were there that The Who stole the show, but dont tell...you were there and decided it was a tie.
@@brianshockledge3241 Re your comment "its in print from people that were there that the Who stole the show". Who would they be then ? Who fans perhaps ?? ...and its in print,,,wow must be true !!! Might make at least some sort of sense if the Who were the support act that night as opposed to being the headliners. They were much further into their career than Zep were at the time.. Nobody got "blown off stage" ...in fact there is a recent interview with a Who roadie/.security who remembers apologising to Zep as he was made to try to cut their set short by pulling the power due to..ahem.."curfew" reasons. That is also in print
@@badgeholderdave Who fans perhaps, Robert Plant for one. I`ve spoken to an American rock fan who loved both bands. He said he saw The Who around 30 times (as you say they were around first) and Zep around 20 times. He said out of those shows he could count the average/poor Who shows on one hand. He said for Zep he could count the great shows on one hand for consistently great/good shows for him there was a clear winner. He told me for the 20min drum solo spot many fans went to the restroom or went for a drink. Drum solo`s are great an all but..
It was the British bands in the 60s who brought blues to white America
Blimey Creep was 1992 that's making me feel old it dosn't seem that long ago.
this is why we brits having been telling the world were hands down the best country, sorry america love ya
The thing is, it's really hard for British bands/singers to crack America, be it musical taste or cultural changes in reflection of the "now", but some do get through, and make an incredible impact, so much so, it's no wonder the "Britishness" of the bands is lost because people just assume they are home grown (US) talent.
Look at Blur, Oasis's Britpop rivals at the time, great band... Did nothing in the US, but their music is great none the less: ruclips.net/video/SSbBvKaM6sk/видео.html & ruclips.net/video/YSuHrTfcikU/видео.html as examples of their musical wares.
The Jam: ruclips.net/video/AE1ct5yEuVY/видео.html
Pulp: ruclips.net/video/yuTMWgOduFM/видео.html
The Verve (To me, they released one of the greatest albums of my generation, which was Urban Hymns): ruclips.net/video/1lyu1KKwC74/видео.html
The here and now though, noone can say Gerry Cinnamon ruclips.net/video/MqTO7LyLrfQ/видео.html is'nt special, he's a Scottish gem (And that's coming from an Englishman, lol... Hehehe), I have total respect for this man as an artist, writes his own stuff, no "producer" to muck around with his sound, isnt interested in "charts", just wants to go out and play his music to his fans... Total respect.

There are enough British bands that are globally successful to do a top 100, never mind 10! And that would just be the best ones, not all of them.
How, how did you not know Pink Floyd, Queen and Led Zeppelin are British, and none if these groups moved to the U.S.
These sound like Africans to me, Americans lol nah
Of course America has many amazing bands and singers….Elvis, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Beach Boys, Guns n’ Roses …..BUT…..us Brits have such a wealth of incredible bands since The Beatles. We just nailed it! There’s a few things we are good at….music is one of them!
They always have been Briitsh and made their popularity and fame here first, then the USA heard their music and of course wanted to hear and see them live, that does not mean there are no great bands that were, "Born in the USA" there's one right there, and one of the best bands in the world, that we love too, so don't get disheartened.
You guys look genuinely shocked by some of those bands being British
Did you grow up under a rock!🏴
Nope. None of them grew up in America. They are British born and bred.
You're doing a music reaction video and muting not just the music but the reaction?
Very annoying.
@@TheCornishCockneywaste of time watching it, most of the sound out .
even americans will tell you the top british bands are the best ever the beatles - rolling stones - led zeppelin - pink floyd and im not saying america dont have some top bands they do but its obvious were most the best bands ever come from
Guys, what's up with the sound?
copyright
Simple equation.. assume that every great rock band came from uk 🇬🇧.. and 95% of the time you will be correct 👌
America gave us elvis presley and we loved him , we gave America john Lennon and they shot him !
is it their first day on earth?
Liverpool's the place where the Beatles are from! That compilation isn't up to much, there are much better one's around!
Brilliant reaction
React to every country England as invaded you all will be shocked
The Celts, Romans, Vikings, Normans Angles, Saxons all invaded England first. England has been invaded more times than any other place.
how can you not tell these bands from their acccnts? none of them sound american in any way.
Haha, see below!
Białe Róże - Mała Armia Janosika (100 Rocznica Odzyskania Niepodległości)
No we don't 'do' rock and roll we 'create' rock and roll
Stones Roses ahead of Pink Floyd thats when I knew this was a farce.
Mone of those band moved to America
No iron maiden, def Leppard, black sabbath,.etc. Yet a pop band at number 1.....who the hell made this list up
Seriously OMG
The Kinks! Local to me. Legends
I don't think you are alone with your reactions, I think a lot of American's think they are USA bands!!
That’s because many Americans really believe America is the centre of the universe.
I'm proud of the British music industry we given the world some of the greatest bands ever and can't believe you thought that the Beatles was American 😂 there from Liverpool but this list is not very good it has missed out so many bands that are better than oasis and Radiohead don't get me wrong they are good bands but don't belongs to this list
Not surprising ,it`s Mojo
Anything ‘American’ came from Britain!
You did not know that the British did rock music ...
How odd that you didn't know all these bands were British..I can't fathom it..There are so many more bands that were not mentioned here that are British too. In fact, I would go as far as to say that Britain produced the vast majority of music from the 60's onwards..Americans live such insular lives...The Beatles never moved to America, only toured..John Lennon later lived there..🤦♀️🤷♀️
The Beatles>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>the rest.
None of these bands moved to the US.
