- In this video I show how I resolved the issues of having both a DPF System Service Required warning on the dash and a 252F Engine oil level too high fault that would not clear when trying to erase - Active Fault

Mate, you're actually a fucken legend. I was running in circles trying to find the route cause. My otofix im1 has the autel operating system so your video was perfect. I followed your step by step procedure and removed the dpf light. Cheers 🍻
Hi Gerard, Great video and very helpful. I really liked the way you brought us along as you figured it out on the fly. I had a similar issue with a 15 Outlander where the oil level went high - caused by an air leak on the intercooler hose which blocked up the DPF
Thanks mate, it relieved stress for me. Cheers
This helped me out heaps mate, had no idea where to go with the scan tool, cheers
👌👌 nice one 🙌
Mighty job Gerard, very good to know, Thank You🙏👍😎☘
Cheers Pat 😁
I am currently back in the sunny 🍀🌞🍀 Irish isle, feels like I am still in Oz 😁😂
We must meet up while I am back on this soil, flick me an email (in the description) with details if you are around and fancy a catch up 👌👍
Thanks mate, after messing around clearing codes and generally having no idea how to clear the damn dpf error. Your video worked perfectly - hidden away under the Initialization menu
Thank you very much had the same problem I did exactly what u did and fixed mine 🎉
💪💪👌👌

Which obd scanner did you use ?
Your a life saver
Thanks
So need to drain the oil, as it has diesel mixture in it?
Cheers handy to know
Thanks John
hey mate, im after some help. i have the 2019 MR Mitsubishi triton. i had the same issue as shown in this video. it went into Mitsubishi for diagnosis and all they did was replaced the engine oil and filter and cleared fault codes. they told me to drive it for another 2000km and monitor engine oil level and fault codes coming up. So far i have had no codes after 600km but the engine oil level is now between the full mark and X mark on the dip stick so basically heading back to where it was and now naturally i dont want to drive it anymore untill it goes back in. I have seen after countless time on the internet a common cause of engine oil level increasing is because of a boost leak (normally split in intercooler hosing). If this is not the root cause of the oil level increasing .... what else could possibly be causing this issue? Only reason i ask is because my dealer is next level bloody hopeless and appears to just do the basics and not actually find the issue for me even though its under a 10yr warranty in new Zealand. look forward to replies here as i really need some help!
How’s it goin mate? I’ve got a 2019 Mr triton with 40,000km
I'm interested how you got on with this I have a 19 triton keeps going back to mitsubishi I normally only get 3500 to 5000 kd after a service before my dpf light comes on
Hiya is that the mk808 scan tool? This vid has been a god send!
It's the Autel Ultra, but many other scan tool ranges will do this.
Hi would a Foxwell NT650 Elite do this?
hello. I have a similar problem with dpf. Can you write what software you use to remove errors. Regards
Autel Ultra was the scan tool used in this video
My car went into have this problem sorted on 11th August 2023, 5 weeks later i have had the same problem and my car has been on long drives etc. Should this have happened again.? I am now going to get rid of my Outlander as this fault has happened about 6 times over last 2 years
just had the light come on in my new car and you might want to search Auto Expert John Cadogans m y DPF light has come on
I have same problem. It will be my last mitsubishi as I don't trust service guys
Same issue with my vehicle. Constant engine oil dilution, fault code every 5000kms, yet I'm told nothing is wrong with the vehicle...
This really helped me, I'm from Israel
It's happened to me,lm driving a Holden captiva 2012
What do l do
Can you clear this issue with a normal code reader?
I can't be 100% sure on the capabilities of every cheap scan tool, but it is unlikely a cheap scan tool will be able to solve this issue unfortunately.
Thank you for your response we have gotten a can of dpf cleaner and put into the filter and try that way, cheers
Mines only don 24k and just came on
How can the oil level increase...nonsense fault
Check your intercooler hoses for splits
Bullshit Mitsubishi reset my dpf several times and after few weeks comes again. Dpf is bloked if you dont drive regularly on highway. They just extend live of dpf until warranty will ends.
You needed to do a small quantity relearn ever service to stop the oil problem your having You did nothing but clear codes !!!
You didn’t fix the cause!!!
There is no oil problem, a technician overfilled the level at the service and caused the warning to come on.
I solved the issue. The DPF has no soot build up/accumulation of concern and the only issue here is what is seen in the video.
Vehicle has been driving since and no faults 👌👌
Better to not make assumptions when you can ask for verification on your thought process 💭👌
Terrible. All you did was address the symptom, not the root cause. You didnt even ask “why was the oil level too high? Answer more than likely was that the oil was diluted by fuel due to a over fuelling situation caused by ….. typically something like a split intercooler hose. . So now you probably have still got oil diluted by diesel fuel that is nit lubricating te engine properly. And guess what? That code will soon be back because the problem has nit been fixed.

Ass-u-me
Better you delete
You must clear dpf, replace oil and filter, start regeneration in drive, set data to zero. Egr cleaned also.
This has nothing to do with DPF pressure or soot accumulation, the DPF regen process is deactivated due to oil level reading, while monitoring the live data the DPF was perfect with no pressure / soot issues.
The oil and filter had recently been replaced and the oil level was left too high and it stored in the system.
Excellent job. Thank you.
