I like that you use wood arrows in your reviews. I shoot woods all the time mostly because I like to build my own from scratch.

Excellent review! Very thorough with specs, hunting scenarios, and presentation style. I have a Bodnik QuickStick (55lb) with a 26" draw and love it.

Just found your channel and subscribed , bought my first longbow about a month ago , cheap Black Hunter off Amazon . Wanted to wade in and not drop alot of cash , to my surprise it's a great little bow and I'm thinking I will be hunting with it next fall .

Thanks for the excellent review and shooting demonstrations. Subscribed. I have the 60" Slick Stick bows in 35# and 50#. Kind of the 'plain jane' rendition of the Quick Stick. Also excellent bows, and as you say, feather light in the hand, and smooth drawing back to 32".

It's definitely got a loud twang to it compared to my toelke whistler, but then again it's in a different price point too

@@fishhunter348 Absolutely for the price its a great bow with a great warranty that will put meat in the freezer. I've tried everything to reduce noise and its just a little loud. Ive heard them Toeke bows are very nice shooters but I haven't gotten my hands on one yet. Thank you for watching and happy hunting.

Hiya, I have a bodnik slik stik,50# @28 ", I've had this bow for quite awhile, I've never put string silencers on it cuz it doesn't need them, plus I have a hickory/bamboo 72" longbow, 50# also, but I always grab my slik stik when I go outside, just simply a awesome bow to shoot,,I'm in my sixties n I've never owned a bow quite like this, luv it, now, I'm in need for new arrows, lol, take care out there, stay safe, shakyjake out.

this looks like a nice arrow chucker.. i have a fast recurve, a reflexed hickory longbow and also a 50lb montana. i tend to shoot the montana and the self bow more because im more familiar with the cast of that style bow but i do wish it was faster like the recurve. only thing i keep seeing about these quick sticks, you said it, they seem noisy. thats my favorite thing about the montana is how quiet it is, almost like the whipping sound when you cast a fishing pole not the thunk i hear from more reflexed or recurved bows. ah well, you want speed then you get some more noise i guess and vice versa

I have the 2020 quick stick It has hand shock, I had a chance on buying the one you have but missed out on the ups not allowing it to be shipped and I didn't have enough to pay for a couier.
what's the year model? what would you recommend I do about the hand shock. as I like shooting with no string silencers, silencers did not help the hand shock. cheers Marcus

My bow is Probably a 2018. You could try adjusting your brace hight slightly higher than the recommendation and heavy arrows normally help calm a bow down also making sure your arrows are tuned properly to the bow. The bow might have a bad tiller possibly, a heavier string material might also help. good luck with your bow and happy shooting.

Great rewiev! You should try Bodnik Mohawk Hybrid Chief TD, it is dead quiet, no hand shock, heavier and it can be 58", 62" od 64" long (it depends on riser length), and great for my 31" DL

It's even dead quiet when it's not the chief version 🙂 (I own the 13" riser, 58" length, hybrid limbs)

Thanks for the review, just received my QS yesterday. When you received yours, how off was your brace hight? It recommends around 7 1/4, when I strung it up, the brace was only 5”. I’m pretty new at this trad game and this is my 1st new bow. Is this unusual, or ok? I can get it to the recommendation, but not sure if this is normal. Purchased at 3rivers and will call them too, just figured I would ask you as well. Thanks again for sharing your review.

Yup that's not terribly uncommon I got this one years ago and I have had to adjust the brace hight, you can twist the string to bring your brace hight up and you might want to play with it a bit the bow will tell you where it likes it. Thats a great bow and you will be happy with it when you set it up. Thanks for watching.

It looks like you have a higher brace height than recommended by Bodnik. They call for 7 1/4" brace height that may be why that bow is noisy.

Ive never hurt a bow stringing it this way but it does void most warranties so I know someone will not like that.

By all means pleas buy all the equipment you need to do these videos like cameras, microphones, computer capable of editing and making videos, editing software, Bows and all other equipment, Property to do this stuff on, learn to use all this equipment and more try to figure out how to put all this together and make your own videos. Im a drywaller not a videographer Im clearing the dust and fiberglass from putting together and working on houses out of my throat so I can speak clearly not to mention its 9 degrees outside. This is a free video for you on RUclips if it bothers you why are you watching it when you millions to choose from? C Ya!
