But instead of that dissonant note at 1:30 the summit changed it into a more determined note that resolves back into itself The music of the summit is amazing and I can’t wait for it to be covered
@@Thoughtesque in this piece it acts as a bit of percussion where little is present (if you don’t count the piano itself as a percussion instrument). It has a snare-like sound to it. In other pieces where it is much harder to hear and is pressed less often I feel like it’s main intent isn’t as an instrument, but it feels different in this piece
@@justjamminjazzy Technically, a piano falls into a category known as a "chromatic instrument" chromatic instruments include harpsichords, xylophones, vibraphones, marimbas, etc. I didn't think of the dampening pedal as percussion and I was focused more on tuned instruments. No matter what, it gives a new feeling of depth and care to the song.
@@Thoughtesque huh, I never knew that. I’ve just been used to people arguing if it was a stringed or percussive instrument. Love this series on Celestes music btw. Most people just say it’s made of of leitmotifs and leave it there
@@XLFusion532 I just couldn't think of any more songs I wanted to cover. I did all my favorites and ones that stood out to me, so what else was there to do? I have been thinking of just making a compilation and adding one more analysis
@@Thoughtesque someone in the prologue video said that the song of the end of prologue is the same as the start of summit, you could say that in the summit all the musics are the summit music, but with a little of the chapter
@@XLFusion532 Reach For The Summit has a lot of cool things in it but it's 11 minutes long and I'm not sure if anyone could fill a video that long with fun facts through the entire song
This made me so relaxed
I felt calm and ready to conquer this game
And then I got crushed by the ice block
haha
Another thing is that the end of prologue is just like the beginning of reach for the summit.
It's part of Madeline's motif which goes without saying, I'd think
But instead of that dissonant note at 1:30 the summit changed it into a more determined note that resolves back into itself

this was a great starting track
Lena captures every emotion
Quite literally the calm before the storm.
if i ever write the god damn essay/analysis of Celeste music, I'll be sure to shoutout you!
Would love to see it
Update on this?
@@Thoughtesque 🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲
I love how the sound of the dampening pedal hitting the floor is used as it’s own instrument.
I dunno about being it's own instrument. But it certainly adds a feeling of loneliness and ambience to the piece

@@justjamminjazzy You're very insightful and passionate. It's clear that you perceive music the way it's meant to be.
If Lena Raine didn’t make this soundtrack, I don’t think i’ll like it as much. She’s amazing
I don't know why but the introduction of the dash mechanic is enhanced by the single note at the end and I love it.
It's cheering you on (pro tip: press 9 repeatedly)
Hold up, you can go up in the first room? How have I not known this!
It's not super well known so don't blame yourself. In fact; I remember going up to spread awareness that you can!
I love the songs of celeste
0:10 never noticed that lol
celeste birds say "trans rights"
@@Thoughtesque ayy hello, why did you stopped the "series"
