I recently bought this go pro a couple of days ago for when me and my family go on holiday in June. I've never had a go pro before and have always wanted one. I thought I'd go for a white one as everyone seems to have a black one. I love it. It does everything I want it too. And it's waterproof. Great review by the way.

Just did an 800km motorcycle ride with this camera and had USB connection on my bike (recommended) video quality is excellent however sound was lost while travelling for some reason so couldn’t hear the roar of my 1300 Stryker. Also make sure your SD card is clean as some videos were corrupted and I lost some amazing footage.
Right now on Amazon a factory refurb Hero7 black is only $40 more than the white, with removable battery, better dynamic range, and even more advanced stability. Even if you don't output to 4k, having those extra pixels for editing is actually very helpful.

I been hearing the same thing, but for 2 weeks I been using an extrenal mic on my white and am getting sound, now is it just sound from the internal mic or the external? I will have to test to double check. And all GoPro's require an adapter for a microphone, not just whites.
Please advise what external microphone works with this camera? I have asked GoPro tech support and the advised there isn’t one. However there support is awful so it would be a surprise if they where wrong.

Hey dude, thanks for the review! It's great! Donyou know how to change the shot from wide (fisheye) to linear? I have gone into settings on the app > field of view. But there is only one option: wide. Do you know how to get linear mode? Thank you!
@@ShakerHP silver and black have gps. silver is basically white with 4k and wide dynamic range photos. Black has much more video resolutions and frame rates and it also has removable battery and replacable lens cover if you scratch or break it. Also black has hypersmooth stabilisation which is best of all action cameras. Black works with karma grip and drone. It has timewarp timelapse. Those are all differences i can think of.
I bought one and returned it the next day. Too many restrictions in the software and sensor. Time lapse is absurd, only one setting. No raw. No iso settings. Low light is terrible. it's basically a point and shoot. Can't change battery. EIS is good though. I'm getting a 5 black instead.

I have the white version of the hero 7 black and it uploads 4k really quick if your on 5hz not 2.4hz and I believe the GoPro white doesn't have 5hz

I disagree with the waterproof depth, It's 33 ft not 80 ft.😠 My gopro hero 7 silver has a 33 feet waterproof depth.
Not waterproof to 80 ft, and it doesn’t have hypersmooth so I don’t understand how you thought you were getting stabilized footage
waterproof to 10 feet and has SOME stabilization, not as much as black but still is very good.
Does that GoPro still have a fisheye lens??

It's not white though, it's grey
You can't upgrade the sound even with the adapter. There is no way of doing so. The adapter only works for the black edition

You should have gone with somthing like the hero 5 or 6 black in my opinion
