Bro both branch is good and placement is depend on your skills you can sit for all companies during placement. (After 2 years cse derabassi student shifted in patiala.)
Cse Derabassi student will come to thapar patiala campus from 3rd year and the placement of all will be done here in the patiala campus so not much difference

Coe is worth is you maintain you cgpa around 8-9 and the placement is totally depend on your skills so work hard to improve your skills And If you can do all this thinks then taking loan is worth for you
