Just inherited one of these from a family member. Glad there are videos explaining how to assemble the Klepper kayak as I’d be lost without these videos.
You really remind me to the time when i had in 1967 an Aerius II. I learnt my occupation with Klepper Werke, Filiale Stuttgart in Germany from 1961 - 1965. Since 2008 im living in The Philippines and all I want is an Klepper Aerius II and a Klepper Master. Thanks for your wonderful video.
Aaron--thanks! I have a really old double like yours--since my husband is no longer around to put it together, I have been worried about not knowing how. I'm heading to a lagoon in Bolinas, Ca. in a few weeks! This will help! I too went to school with a Klepper--Karen in Tennessee. She was related to the boat family!
A friend of mine has a Klepper two seater in her basement...this video gives me the courage to even try to see if all the parts are still together. I see the paddles and will look for them. They used it pretty often and were meticulous with care so I am sure it will be OK!
Has anyone had experience climbing in a Klepper Aerius II if you are in the water. I want to use it for snorkeling so need to be able to get in and out easily.
Though I've not tried to regularly get into my Aerius II from deep water, it has a moderately wide beam and long length for stability, so could work. I've done it before, clumsily, but it would require practice and strength to do it regularly. The extra length of the open cockpit of the II allows more space to manouver than smaller boats. I've found Sit-on-Top models easier to get on and off in deeper water, but these lack portability.
I live in Norway and am looking for one of these due to the extreme shipping costs of a glass or molded kayak. does anyone have one of these they'd like to sell? i don't have a lot of money but if you have one you aren't using and could help me out i can pay a reasonable amount for it. Thank you.
Jon Foster Yes , Kontakt: Jörg der Flusswanderer, Faltbootwerft Ladenburg. He is a Spezialist and have much foldingkajaks for fair money. Good luck! 🚣👍

@jonfoster100 just a single though. and it doesn't have to be a klepper but not one of the real cheap folding ones or i'll get killed kayaking in the sea LOL

Why is the image quality so terrible?

So Klepper isn't really a "foldable". It's more like a "build-in-place". Less like a pop-up tent, and more like M*A*S*H.
