Gastroschisis is when the bowel is outside of its usual place, actually outside. I instantly recognised the "exposed bowel" part when it was shown.

This Called Gastroschisis same case to my Baby but sad to say He passed away after the surgery 💔😭

Here in Canada this baby would have recieved a general anesthetic. They operate directly after birth if need be here.

I've never before seen major surgery performed on a baby or adult without general anesthesia.

its because newborns have a much higher chance of simply never waking up if placed under general. its incredibly risky.
