Don’t Buy Kids Old Leapfrog Laptops!!! (⚠️Cursing)

- Since it’s the new year, I thought of trying something new. I search out in my garage and picked up this old kids toy from Leapfrog.
2023 update With this Leapfrog school time laptop. I honestly don’t know what to do with it. This is a one of a kind piece and was soon thinking about maybe selling it. Give me some ideas on what I should do next:
*This video is not attended for kids. I’m also NOT against Leapfrog. It’s an old product that was probably recalled with dirty messages. This is something that viewers out there might be interested in. Enjoy;)

What creeps me out the most is the leapfrog laptop saying im alive and I'm in heaven I think the boy leapfrog meant by pick up sticks to kill himself and to go in heaven I think that's what it means

Gay originally meant happy, which is one of the reasons why some kids toys like this include that word. Nowadays it's used to describe a group of people (LGBTQ+), particularly men

I remember when I was about 10 or 11, I was curious with my super speak and spell would say curse words......at the same time I was really scared to even check.......but did when I was home alone after school.......but even then I was so scared.........you see it was a nice day......the windows were open and there was this nice sweet old lady sitting on her porch across the street 3 doors down she’d always wave to me and smile after I got off the bus......so I was afraid she’d hear me spelling the words from my bedroom, so went into the dining room and spelled the explicit words so I was sure she wouldn’t hear me.

My toddler has the fridge magnet letters and my older kids are always trying to make it say something by swapping the letters out as fast as they can 😂 They can sorta get “ass”
Why? If they don't know the bad words, then they're not going to try and write them. If they do write them, then they already knew them anyway...

I have a Vintage VTECH laptop from the late 90's.
It has an expansion slot, which is used to add another 64KiB of voice, sound, and dictionary data to the toy.
I'd love to figure the data format out and get it to say curse words. It would be the greatest honor! Lmao.
It should be possible, as it has a full fat voice synthesizer in it.
Too bad that laptop hates my eeproms...
Those things are usually hard coded into the rom. The type of vocal synthesis your VTech laptop likely uses is called LPC. While it sounds very much like TTS, all the vocabulary it has is on the chip and already coded in, so modifying that would be a pain to say the least. It might be easy if you completely pull the rom apart but that would take some serious technical knowhow.
I'd love to see a true swearing toy though

Also, why are there problems with certain letters? They don’t freaking work. “K” doesn’t work in “Fu” but instead deletes “Fu”. With “C” in “Fu”, the letter “C” doesn’t show up but keeps “Fu” in.

@@user-zy5hy7qz7o it probably doesn’t do spanish words as it’s an english toy. The only possible 3 letter words with Q I can think of are QUA (a synonym for AS), QIS (plural for QI, an alternate spelling for CHI), and QAT (a type of shrub native to Arabia).
