This story has me HEATED! A young man full of so much talent and potential gunned down in the street on his birthday. My heart is breaking for his mother, his father, his friends and all those that loved him.

This is very sad. During my primary or high school years back in the 90s we wouldn't even consider that we would lose one of our class mates to gun violence. The only thing we feared that could take one of us out is motor vehicle accidents. Come on man!

So sad , I hope the Government of Jamaica and the school provide counseling and therapy for his classmates, his sports team members and also his family. Post traumatic disorder is not something you can overcome easily. I don't know this child and my heart is hurting so bad.
I think we should have soldier's to assist as teacher in schools.

Thats what I love to see, the hight and the passion for justice. I believe and I felt every word that police women had spoken. JA as a country is in trouble and we all have a responsibility to take a Stan, obviously taking such Stan is going to be hard because the head is rotten and stink. JA is at the mercy of God because of the few who still fears him and have the nation under prayer. God help us, very sad, very sad. Lord strengthen the mother and the family.
Do people still sing the Natioal anthem in schools, homes and in the government departments. It's a disgusting state of affairs and although I love the beauty of the country and it's genuinely honest people me nu love the nastiness. My sincere condolences to the family and I feel their pain having recently suffered the loss of my husband from pancreatic cancer and I pray that all will rally around them to contribute to assist with a secure fund to help with a fitting send off for the young man. I'm so ashamed and ANGRY.

It really hit home when the police officer referred to him as a child. That's exactly what he was. Living in the UK the white media would have said he was a young man.

So sad to hear about the death of this young man, a star in the making gone too soon. The questions I would like to ask is when will this killing stop and why did this this person had to take this young man life? Why? His death brought tears to my eyes when I watched this video and heard about the way he lost his life. I felt the pain of his passing as if I knew him. My heart leap 😪 when I saw how his friends and classmates weap for him, so sad. My condolences goes out to his family and friends. May you all find comfort in remembering the precious time you spent with him when he was alive. Gone to soon. May his soul rest in peace and light perpetual shine upon him.

Take kenute Williams for example, the student that was stabbed at excelsior,the boy that was killed over a ring etc....I have kids going to school!!!! As a Jamaica born adult in my 60's the levels of gun crime and killings send chills all over my body and although I love my country and the fantastic talents and achievements I just do not want to come and spend money to boost the economy. It's a crying shame. How can the officials allow all this violence and the wiping out of talents. Fix up Jamaica.

Until the government of Jamaica understands that crime is a very serious problem and that they need to remove bipartisan, crime will never stop. The government is afraid that if they take more stringent measures, they will loose their 'election'. Take a leaf out of a country like El Salvador! God help us!
