Congrats to PRS to rise the highest levels of quality, versatility and playability among any other guitars, and also congrats for having Steve, one of the best for guitar demos in RUclips
I have a 513 in Black Gold. It has a solid Brazilian Rosewood neck. This is the second one I bought. The first one sounded terrible I thought I could work with it, but I gave up. This particular guitar is outstanding. There is not a tone I can think of that I can't get on the fly.The new 509 guitars have replaced the 513 series (I think). If you can get your hands on one buy it.They cost, but they are worth every penny! If you do not like PRS guitars, don't waste your time.
Always thought a 513 hollowbody (or semihollow) would be my dream build if I ever had the opportunity and just found one on Reverb. If only I had the money haha
Have a solid rosewood neck version and it has been my only guitar I use in a classic rock cover band. Haven't found anything that covers everything from Grateful Dead to Hendrix better. Lots of sound samples of my band, The Digits, if you care to listen. All played through a Peavey Delta Blues with boost switch on.
paowerhouse92 yes it has. They changed to the 509 now. Looks exactly the same but there’s less tone combos. Check out the video on it if you want to know more!
Mike DiValentin Didn’t know that. Glad I bought two before that. One artist pls fire red just like this one and the other a most beautiful private stock model quilted maple denim blue front (top) that you would swear is three dimensional with rw neck.
+Robstafarian push-pull can solve the problem. Then you got a 515 instead of a 513. I have my PRS 513 25th anniversary since 2010. Often I think about replacing tone pot on it, but couldn't find the time.
+KillSwitch66627 Why not? Point a) You compare a used object to a new one. That is not fair. Point b) What car do you get for maybe 4.000 € / $ That cant be a nice one Point c) If you buy this guitar youre principally finished. You spend this Money one-time and basically you´re done. If you spend the same money on the used car your money is gone. But the main difference is: in case you wanna use the car you´ve to spend much more money in addition to the one that you spend buying it. Fuel, Insurance, Taxes, Service and so on. ... So, dont get me wrong. PRS Guitars definitely cost a couple of dollars/euros. It depends on your preference and budget if you want to go for one or not. But you still have to be fair, when comparing them to other goods. :)
+KillSwitch66627 The cost of a Gibson Standard and an American Strat combined would be the cost of one of these guitars yet you'll still have less tonal options than this guitar.
It was beautiful until he switched on that horrible distortion....absolutely disgusting. The 513 is really a lovely guitar. I'm sure that it's possible to produce all sorts of nice overdrive, but that the final 20 seconds did no justice to this fine instrument.
the switches make the nice guitar look ghetto, so do the pickup screws. and the price makes the whole thing worthless. even if I was rich I wouldnt buy one
I have one of these and they really are versatile and have great tones in all positions
You need to make this available again!
The 509 is quite similar
I think this may be the ideal guitar, especially bc of the quality of this instrument and the pickups plus a reliable trem system

Hi ! What model was the one you didn't like ? Also rosewood neck ? Thanks !
Yeah man, why was the first one terrible?
this guitar is legendary
You guys should’ve made the middle position change to the outer two hum buckers in two of the modes. 515

My most expensive guitar purchase but also my smartest. This guitar is worth every penny!
pretty nice.
As all of your products and videos. :)
I love how as the demo goes on he starts adding in little licks, it would get monotonous playing that lick 13 different times.
lmao
3 way mini switch please
could anyone tell me the width at the nut in mm please? thanks...
Does anyone knows what he plays at the beginning ?
Has this model been discontinued? I haven't seen this guitar on the website.

Put a floyd rose on that thing and I’ll sell my soul to satan to get one😂😂😂😂😂
Why tapping instead of parallel humbucking?

I am a guitar circuit inventor. I was not asking about a mod to make that possible: I was asking why they opted to combine tapped coils.
+Robstafarian I do not know why, but for me it is very convenient.
WOW !
Can you get this in a wide fat neck?
+Enrique Romero Yes it is possible. My 513 has a wide fat neck.
Position 2 sounds more like an single coil to me.
Wow! Whats the price range?
+Bob Bischel about $3600.00 for a standard, $4200.00 for a 10-top. The sky is the limit on Private Stock models.
PRS !!!
active pups?
dre brose passive only!
still i prefer the 408
So do I!
+Pe Peroni Always someone in the crowd.
Looks and sounds like a beast, but I dont want to spend what I imagine would be the same amount of money for a decent used car. No thanks.
+KillSwitch66627 comment of the day right there.
+KillSwitch66627 Might as well unsubscribe cause the GAS is gonna kill ya.

I think it’s a really interesting concept, but the look of the pickups just in general absolutely ruin it for me. I’d never buy one.
This guitar aka the BETTER DC3.... I don't like my dc3

Sounded fine, wtf
@@anthonydavella8350 agree with you.. Wtf.. Distortion with tone! What a concept.

These pickups sound great, but are really ugly in a so good looking guitar. Maybe if they had poles or some other color...
