    Just completed this process and my Legacy Hero Last Crusade feels like the fibers are tighter and slightly dried out. Planning to use mink oil to bring the buttery suppleness back some

      That can occur if the water you use it too hot and/or if the jacket dries too quickly due to using heat sources or if it is just hot where you are. Definitely feed the leather quickly to prevent fibers from breaking.

    Indy swam in his. I washed and tumble dried two leather jackets to shrink them. It worked out well but of course I drenched them in LEXOL leather conditioner after & hung them outside..Worked real well. Those sleeves are perfectly narrow. Is it a Wested Legacy? Hero? Hero Legacy?

    Think this would work on cotton with intention to stretch

    Is there a trick for creating the ribbing effect on the chest?

    • @LJBCProductionsUK
      @LJBCProductionsUK  Год назад +2

      The striations seen on some jackets are natural and relate to the skin closest to the ribs of the sheep. I have thought about getting something made up to wet press into the leather but I haven't really moved on that idea.

    Leathers are not for the overweight. Either loose a good 10 pounds or buy a larger size which might end up with sleeves to long. The jacket won't strech much. Because there lined.

      All of my leather jackets are custom made to my preferred chest size, back length and sleeve length. I am perfectly happy with how my jackets fit but thank you for your concern.

      Not a problem when you’re lucky enough to have access to a good tailor at a leather shop (I do). Had my first custom sized leather jacket made almost ten years ago and decided then that I’ll never buy another one “off the rack”. For the price of any decent leather, pay a few dollars more and find someone that will build it in your size. I am lucky, I have access to a guy that can duplicate almost any leather clothing pattern with my measurements and he does it for about the same price as buying at the “this size fits most” store.
