This is true that Judges don’t fear of any politician, and judges never indulge in public dealings like DM, SP and DSP do as it is out of their scope of work. Police department and ministries, both stay away of judiciary. But as far as power and authority is concerned, DM and SP can use their power. But a judicial officer cannot impose his power in administrative field. Hence, a comparison of power is totally unjustified here. Both are powerful in their respective domain.

Even advocates are better than Judge that's why some people resign from Judge position and continue their practice. Advocate know how to mold fold evidences and they also involved with executives(police). As a Judge sometimes you feel helpless.
Supreme Court Judge is appointed by the president with the advice of the Chief Justice! And high court judges are appointed by the governor of the state with the advice of the Chief Justice of that high court!
Please don't give biased information Can DJ impose curfew? Can DJ go & solve problems of local people? Can DJ give order to shoot at uncontrollable mob? Can DJ go and inspect different departments of district? Can DJ be more pupular than DM?(eg. Very few of May know dj of your district but most of may be knowing DM of your district). It's true that dj can call anyone in the court but not until the acused has done any crime. Which is difficult UPSC (for DM) or pcs-j (for judge)? Whose training carry more risk, thrill and adventure? Knowledge of law does not mean that one is head of everyone because law is for the people and judge are for protection of law whereas IAS are for protection of people. A DJ cannot help people until the person appeal to him but a DM can help and bring a vast change in the society. Comparing District Judge and District Magistrate is absurd. Both are powerful in their own domain. It's true that executives work under government but judges too work under High court and Supreme court. Magistrate can give capital punishment but he is also bound be evidence. Even if he knew the reality, he can't give the right judgement if the evidences are not in accordance. A judge can make you stay behind the bars and a DM can make you sit inside your home by imposing curfew.
true, it's one side comparision, he forgot to mention. DM (with the help of session court judge) can appoint public prosecutor. Here DM got the help of sesson court judge, not CJM. So atleast he can say that DM is parallel to session court judge. + DM has more power to maintain order and law... Yes, we can say that judiciary is independent body, that's what BR ambedekar said, but he want to merge executive + legislative body so they both work for people. If legislative body pressure the executive body to do any bad things, then after 5 years, they have to give the reason to people. They will be the responsible for all the things, and people will not forgive it. That's what BR said in const, assembly, why he give more power to ass. than executive.

Comparing DM and DJ is like comparison Sachin Tendulkar with Ronaldo. Both have powers in their respective fields and are independent to each other. SDM is lowest post in IAS whereas Judge is highest post. And in my opinion IAS is more powerful because IAS has directly impact on public, IAS officer is invited in many programs as a chief guest and gets respect where it goes. Whereas Judge is limited to court only and without any avidences Judge can not do nothing.

जिला न्यायाधीश की पावर इतनी है कि DM और SP/SSP को महीने में एक बार monthly meeting के लिए जिला न्यायाधीश के चैम्बर में उपस्थित होना पड़ता है।

Comparing District Judge and District Magistrate is absurd. Both are powerful in their own domain.
It's true that executives work under government but judges too work under High court and Supreme court. Magistrate can give capital punishment but he is also bound be evidence. Even if he knew the reality, he can't give the right judgement if the evidences are not in accordance.
A judge can make you stay behind the bars and a DM can make you sit inside your home by imposing curfew.

DM (with the help of session court judge) can appoint public prosecutor. Here DM got the help of sesson court judge, not CJM. So atleast he can say that DM is parallel to session court judge.

Yes, we can say that judiciary is independent body, that's what BR ambedekar said, but he want to merge executive + legislative body so they both work for people. If legislative body pressure the executive body to do any bad things, then after 5 years, they have to give the reason to people. They will be the responsible for all the things, and people will not forgive it. That's what BR said in const, assembly, why he give more power to ass. than executive.

Comparing DM and DJ is like comparison Sachin Tendulkar with Ronaldo. Both have powers in their respective fields and are independent to each other.
SDM is lowest post in IAS whereas Judge is highest post.
And in my opinion IAS is more powerful because IAS has directly impact on public, IAS officer is invited in many programs as a chief guest and gets respect where it goes.
Whereas Judge is limited to court only and without any avidences Judge can not do nothing.

As far as power of a judicial magistrate and DM is concerned, both have power in their respective fields,the former has in judicial and latter has in administrative field, but if effective power is seen, then DM has civil life influencing power who directly influences the life of civilians and that is more attractive here, can do what he likes for its betterment, as a whole he is complete caretaker of civilians..
