    I'm a bit confused about the sub level approach. Was trying to replicate that, but when I create an empty sub level and add it to the levels list and make it active, I still see all the objects of the main persistent level in the outliner, while in your video you have an empty outliner at the beginning when you start the lighting setup, which I try to have too, as it makes it much easier to navigate the lights etc. Is there any setting I missed to make this work?

    • @hethfilms
      @hethfilms Месяц назад +1

      Never mind, just as I posted it I found the setting. For anyone else looking for it. The cog wheel on the outliner and then check "only in current level", that hides everything else that is not on the sub level.

    • @lynkoLight
      @lynkoLight  Месяц назад +1

      Yes you Can do that from ourliner press on wheel icon then select only in current mood

    Been wondering if there's any specific reason as to why you increase the light intensity so much on the HDRI? Is it just a personal preference? Because having the default values or close to default and then setting the exposure to around ~1 kind of gives the same result from what I can see. Love your videos btw! Super helpfull.

    • @lynkoLight
      @lynkoLight  Месяц назад +2

      Yes because I'm using the real exposure value like in real life that's why I have to increase the amount of the lights

  • @yanhu

    Is it necessary to change all the lights to dynamic in UE5? Some tutorials say only dynamic light works correctly in hardware raytrace Lumen. And is there a problem when a lot of lights has a red error icon on it?

    • @yanhu
      @yanhu Месяц назад

      I mean dynamic = Moveable.

    • @lynkoLight
      @lynkoLight  Месяц назад

      No not necessary, the red icon becouse you have light overlapping but it doesn't cast any issues

    You don't actually explain why you change settings or what each setting does. This isn't a very good tutorial.
