I would like to get one. That’s sure is a small little knife but what I really want is the Gibson Camp Axe. I am waiting on that to be released. Thanks Jacob for making the video.
My pleasure! I am so excited about the carving axe!!! It should be released soon!
You'd pay 50 bucks to throw it into a never used kit? Well, I'd sure like to have your kind of money lol.
@@squirrelknight9768 if your altoids kit is never used thats on you, you should probably get out more 👍
Awesome little blade great for a little necker or in a altoids fire kit.
Nice to see more video! Hope you healed up 100%
Not quite, but I am working on it, thanks!
@@Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors How about blackscoutsurvival.com/ did they follow up with you?
@@Caintuckee64 I don't think so... I don't remember what for though honestly. I feel like since my son was born I have forgotten everything...
@@Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors When you got hurt, I gave them a heads up and asked them to give you a call and support your products...maybe something fell through.
@@Caintuckee64 idk. Maybe they did, i know that i had an unusual spike in sales for a few days. Thanks though!!!
ESEE. Great blades. Thanks for the show.
My pleasure man!
i was hoping a squirrel would run out in the background as Jacob shoulder-rolled as he grabbed his .44 magnum.
I may be one of the few who has smoked a squirrel with a 44 ;-)
Any idea when the Gibson carving axe will be released?
No, but when i know ill make it public. I think it should be around by Christmas, but i am NOT a reputable source for that info, its just a guess.
great blade in a pinch ,, yes i did get a chance to visit james and hold the first design . awesome neck knife..
billy joe
Great review Jacob! I love the pinch. Mine is #1200 so the next one off the line after yours lol funny
Haha that is awesome!!!
Thanks for the review Jacob! shared!
Thanks!!!
Nice little piece of kit, interested to see a video demonstrating the uses for having one. I mean it has 'sexy appeal' for sure, but I don't personally see the use for it in my EDC kit (Yet). We all have knives on our body at all times already, sooooo why do we need THIS knife specifically? Does that make sense?
I understand the 'survival tin kit' use but when I think of carrying a 'neck knife' as an addition to my EDC, I'm thinking of using it for BOTH 'self defense/last ditch' AND survival.
Might just be IMHO. idk.... thoughts? lol
The pinch is like the mini ferro rod in my extreme fire kit (except better)- its so small, light weight, and handy, why not always have it in the kit? I think if every person who carries a pocket knife switched it for this pinch, most wouldnt miss the pocket knife, and 9/10 people would be better for it.
I have been so excited for this knife since i first caught wind of it, that i didnt realize that others wouldnt see what i saw- thats GOOD, because now i can show it!
@@Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors Indeed. I'm looking forward to seeing what it is capable of and what usefulness it serves.
Hark! Do I hear a destruction test calling.....?
ROTFLOL
@@Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors Personally, idk if I could get past the TINY tiny handle/grip on that thing. lol
@@RED1775-u epic destruction! Idk if i could destroy this thing without destroying my own hand!!! Hahaha
Dude, i need to get down there for some bushcraft!
@@Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors Indeed!
Yeah i really want one these. Great little back up made out of esee's awsome 1095
This is a blade I wish was in D2. The semi stainless and longer edge retention would be a plus. I have a candiru and love it.
I can see the benefits of edge holding and stainless properties, but i think we could get more edge holding, more stainless, and more toughness than D2 with minimal increase in price with other steels like cpm3v
I would love 3v but the price is quite a bit higher and its excellent toughness isn’t needed in a small knife like the pinch. But 3v is pretty much greater in every aspect then D2.
@@DamionJR4923 the price of 3v vs d2 should be nearly identical IN THE USA, outsourced is another matter. But look up D2 stock vs 3v, its not that different, and as 3v becomes more popular, you see the prices on production 3v knives plummeting. Heck, Benchmade sells their puuko in 3v for right around 150 i think. Imho for all intents and purposes within us manufacture, d2 should be dead.
ThePreppersBunkerOutdoors Out with the old in with the new!
I like the magnet sheath. Where do you think that lines up with something like the cr.2 ?
Or are they just different knives ?
Oh super, super different. Where the cr2.5 is small, the pinch is micro. I think that the 2.5 is the more rounded, capable knife, but it wont fit where the pinch will.
@@Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors Basically a perfect kit knife, excelling at Altoids tins
Bingo
Good review
What kind of bottle is that?
Klean kanteen 64oz single wall.
that is one tiny blade!! would be a great kit knife
No doubt!
I like your black revolver, too. What is his name? On the other hand, I was really surprised at this new blade. I don't know how to use it but they should be used when we open the bags or something. Thank you for your introduction!
The revolver is a Dan Wesson 44. The knife is great for opening bags and boxes etc, i will show more of its uses soon!
@@Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors I've never heard the name of the revolver so I checked it online. Then I found that it is a great product at Massachusetts. Personally, I had a difficulty to shoot 44. Mags but I would buy it if I continued to live in the US. Furthermore, I'm waiting your report of the new knife, too. That could be useful for trout fishing at the river.
@@MK-uc3ow yeah i cant wait to do another video on the knife!
If you lived here in the united states and could shoot 44 magnums more often, it would become much easier. This one in particular is very, very easy and nice to shoot. I have a video on it maybe 10 videos back. I wish you did live here!
You know, there is a japanese factory here, and people from Japan take turns managing it. I met them, and said "you know, there is a firearms instructor and range across the street from your factory- you could take some classes and learn to shoot! It might help your airsoft game back in Japan too!" In a very friendly way.
They respectfully looked at me like i had a tattoo of a dick on my forhead... hahahaha
Like they were appalled at the idea of learning to shoot.
Oh well.
Perfect for some situations and people's needs. I'm looking forward to your full review. I can hear the naysayers now, "I can do everything with my machete that little knife can do." Except, of course, fit it in a tiny space. LOL
There you go!
That magnet will throw your little compass off in an Altoids tin. Can we get a kydex sheath for it somewhere? They could have made it more multi functional for urban use by adding wrench size holes (offering in SAE or Metric), plus a quarter inch bit driver hole at the end. And make some jimping you could use as a file on the thumb hold. Even a bow drill devit would help. Just sayen. Nice review. I would have to give a lot of thought before purchasing this item. Thanks.
I don't know about wrenches and jimping, those are normally gimmicks more than anything depending on how they are done, BUT, I do agree it could have been more versatile, especially with a square spine for striking, and a bow drill divot would be cool too!
I think prepared mind 101 has the best idea for practical use of this knife
What was that?
Escape and evasion
Also makes great Dog Collars and Belts
Thanks! 🇺🇸
@@Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors Belts? What belts?
I see where they are intending to go here @ $50sum asking... but in this genre (EDC Tool Mini Survival Knives), I think it must stay below $30. I also feel companies should make this sort of stuff in hi-viz or available in good enough stainless. Might be a neat little knife (I actually do think so), however I'm not getting the vibe it's all that special and somewhat overpriced is an easy statement in comparison to others.
Hows the leg?
Doing better! But the better it gets, the slower the progress. Lol
new sub , great review ..
My wife is giving me a hard time about your accent. She says you sound like you're from UP Michigan. I thought you were from KY. Would you mind clarifying? ☺
I live in Ky, but i was raised in Washington lol
Glad you got out of the communist state of Washington bro...
Holy shit
50 bucks
Wtf, why is a peace of steel that expensive
Because a company has to make it, market it, and stock it.
why does he sound like outdoor version of Jordan Peterson lol
First!
1 ex girlfriend thumbed down this video.
Yea sorry not convinced
Just singing praises to high heavens and then claiming a 20 Cent piece of Metal is worth it's tag of 50 bucks ain't doing it....
If you're convinced of the quality of this toy, prove it in a video backing up your claims!
No offense, but this looks like a comercial...
Its an initial impressions video, but i tell you what, you make them, and ill pay you .40 each for them 👍
Fair enough.. I'll wait for your "full" review then.
But honestly, I wouldn't know how to sell a 50 buck bushcraft larper toy to me.
That thing looks worse then that MK1 abomination tbh.
I dont really review products based on looks, so i guess the burden of proof is on me! Ill show it
C,mon admit it , it,s crap you really really wan,t a bigger blade.
Wtf... i have larger knives- this isnt a good only knife option, its a cool tiny knife.
Cool ok @@Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors
