I have a family member who is a TSA agent. She says if the dogs are out sniffing, it is highly unlikely you will have to take anything out of your bag. They will alert their handlers if they detect something that warrants further inspection.
Fabulous video! My pet peeve are those people ( including my hubby-sorry honey) that put all their stuff on and back into their bags right at the conveyor belt when it comes thru scanners! I often have to remind my hubby that we need to take our grey bins and move away from conveyor and situate everything in another spot! There is no need to hurry as we will find our boarding gate and wait there for like, 3 hours before boarding!!! Blessings!
I'm too busy minding my own business and watching out for crazy people to be irritated by others. Keep your hands off other people's things, don't touch others, control your kids, don't jump in front of others and be polite.
The last few times I’ve flown with my electronics, I’ve been asked to pull them out of if I have them all packed together, as in layered or stacked with each other in the same pocket or right next to each other. If i separate them - laptop in back pocket, kindle in front pocket, iPad in middle pocket of my backpack - I’m less likely to be asked to take them out. I have TSA pre check and global entry now, but the way you pack electronics is key, as my electronics were pulled out in Anchorage. I realized it’s because they were all mashed together instead of separated in my bag.
I learned last week in Denver to go through the stand up body scanner because I have a new knee replacement! Going through the old school line, got me fully patted down! The TSA agent gave me the heads up! Return flight was a breeze!
Great tips thank you! I could have reallly used the TSA cares progam when I recently went through JFK in New York it was an incredibly stressful situation all around and I was in tears after going through TSA precheck it seemed everyone was shouting and so rude; I was also patted down for some change I forgot in my pocket. It was early in the morning so all the airline workers were passing us to go through screening first and the line seemed to take forever. I was overwhelmed and really had to work hard to keep myself together and avoid a panic attack. I fly a lot internationally, but it was at the end of a long trip (third leg) and was not expecting the long line at immigration and the rudeness of the workers to me was just the last straw, even though it might just have been the "new york attitude".
When I pack my water bottle for security, I have the bottle on 1 side of my personal item bag and the lid on the other. This way, the agent can see before it goes into the machine that it's empty. I have also noticed that many airports are now posting signs statting to NOT stack the bins up at the end of the conveyor. If I see that, I will follow that posted instruction instead of automatically stacking. I think those airports are on a timed conveyor, but I'm not positive. Botton line is to be considerate of others when you travel, not just of yourself.
That's a great tip about packing lid and bottle separately!! And yes, the best course of action is to be aware of instructions, because more often than not they are going to be different from airport to airport 😊
My biggest pet peeve is waiting for my luggage and little kids are running around and waiting right up next to the luggage carousel area. I try to stand back and wait for mine, unlike people who crowd right up next to it so none of us can see the luggage coming out and when it comes around , little kids are just hanging out right up next to the carousel and I cant get to my luggage. Little kids can’t pull off their luggage and they’re just getting in the way. Get your luggage, hang back, WITH YOUR KIDS, and wait for your next piece of luggage!
Before getting into the security line, I find a bench to sit down and remove my shoes, being older it’s tennis shoes (leaving my socks on), so I’m when I get there I’m ready. After going through the line I gather all my items in the bins and find I spot, out of the way, to change socks, put my shoes on and rearrange anything in my carry on so I can walk through the airport without having any issues.
With all the background noise in an airport, any one with an auditory processing issue and / or is hard of hearing would likely be unable to understand the verbal directions of TSA or airport personnel when they aren't being spoken to directly, face to face
This would be great situation to reach out to TSA Cares to get assistance for going through the security line. These are some of the specific reasons why they created the program 😊
I am 62 and have TSA pre-check. I travel often domestically and have never gotten the dreaded SSSS. However, 8 times out of 10, I, (not my luggage), get pulled for additional screening. I follow all of the rules, say please and thank you, am dressed for business, and I still get pulled. It truly causes a great deal of anxiety and embarrassment because they never tell you why you have been pulled.
Maybe the age? They may want to talk with you to check whether you are physically stable and are traveling on your own free will. Some senior citizens are stepping into vulnerable state at age of 60 and up, so that's my guess.
@@Kezendia - not sure. I travel alone for work and pleasure and am usually in business attire. I am 62 but look 50. Work out 3 times a week, no grey hair and am definitely not frail. They never speak to me either. Nothing past please step out of line for additional screening. It is a mystery.
The person scanning carry-ons for TSA was concerned when my bag containing chargers for my husband and my phones and iPad were in one bag. She said that the number of wires in one carry-on looked like a device when seen by the scanner. Another TSA employee opened the bag after the scan, and lectured me on not packing so many wires (three wires less than a yard each) in one bag.
1 extra pair of pants 1extra shirt 3 underwear done something to sleep in... BUY EVERYTHING ELSE AT DESTINATION AND THEN LEAVE IT WHEN I GO! need clothes???? NOW I have a reason and room for a new disney shirt or a Hawaiian dress or cool Bahamas swim suit! Tsa can look at my"change of clothes" for all of 1 minute! I'm not moving in going on vacation i can live without 99%stuff i have at home.
FYI that using period or bladder leakage panties could cause you to be wanded because the padding flags when going through the machine. If this may make you uncomfortable then use something else on travel day.
Great video as a reminder for those who do travel and especially for newbies. I have a cousin who hasn't flown since before 911 and we are going to travel to Alaska in May. This video will be extremely helpful to her.
I haven't traveled after 911 and I'm going to Mexico and I'm so nervous there's so many does and don't that are so confusing. I am also hard of hearing so even worse. Praying for a smooth day the day of traveling.
Wonderful tips and tricks! To help myself out and my travel buddy that seems to breeze through TSA, I have gotten my global pass. I am also changing over to non-liquid items such as shampoo bars, and toothpaste tabs. The less liquids I can bring through the happier I am!
Going through security in Dublin, Ireland my personal item on got pulled and searched after going through the X-ray. I'd very neatly coiled all my charging cords into one bundle. That was the problem.
Lots of coiled cords make TSA agents suspicious that you might have a bomb. You should have seen the (polite) ruckus that TSA put up when I brought Christmas lights to decorate my cousin’s reception!
I wish it were true that there were tables and benches to repack after going through TSA. 🤦♀️ LAX, FAT, DFW, BOS…not a one and to remove the bin and put it on the only option (the floor!) away from the conveyor belt so as to not hold up the line was a big No-No in 2 of those airports. This resulted in being shouted at and scolded. Yup, I get it, they are just doing a job and are busy and we did stay polite but wow, what a horrible ordeal. We did reach out to TSA Cares after the fact: they listened, and ‘kind of’ apologized, and said they would look into it .😒 It is what it is.
I thought I was crazy... There isn't any such thing in Denver either, just benches a little ways away to put your shoes back on. Didn't think of trying to take the bin over to the bench but I'm glad I didn't after what you said! Thus, I have gotten my global pass so hopefully I can get through TSA much faster!
I wish there was some consistency. I just went Tampa -> London Gatwick and then London Gatwick -> Tampa with no precheck and there was such a difference what they wanted, on the way they said shoes off but liquids could stay in bag but they only said that when we were actually at the bin stage, and there was a body scanner. On the way back shoes stayed on, liquids out, no scanner (I was through security in less than 2 mins).
Bc British security isn’t tsa . They’re their own , however they have guidelines that they need to follow from us TSA:) so that could be why . But also keep in mind even in the USA theres different airports, which has different technologies. Even in the airport like mine , lanes1- 2 are different X-rays then lanes 3-6 .. different X-rays have different rules . Thats why you have an officer telling what u need to take out prior to putting g stuff thru X-ray ;) in Europe I noticed that even make up also has to be in the quart sized bag !
I feel like every time I fly out of Philly, I get flagged for extra screening. With an IUD, I get the extra pad down. The first few times this happened I forgot WHY I was flagged. Now I remember. I once requested a private room when apparently failing a screening and pat down. No one came up for that so I let them do the 2nd pat down it right there. THEN they wiped my hands which I failed. They let me go anyway. The only thing I can think of was there was something on the door on the bathroom I used at the main entrance or it was my hair gel. I stay calm when these pat downs happen which I think flags me more because I am not agitated or annoyed.
Dear Genx, I watched your videos last year at this time before I went alone to Scotland. 🏴 This year, I am going away same month and have checked in with you again! It helps my nerves! I am going alone again to England, Scotland and Wales. I am writing to tell you that your hair looks beautiful!!! From Toronto 🇨🇦
If you do happen to find when you check in online that you do have the "SSSS" on your boarding pass, is it alright to go straight to TSA/CATSA agent and show them that you have SSSS as you'll need to be escorted to be pulled aside anyway into a separate area WITHOUT HAVING TO WAIT in line first to enter the scanner? They'll be giving you a pat down, asking questions and for you to open your luggage which sort of defeats the purpose of going through the scanner. I know they used to give passengers the option years ago to be asked for a pat down instead of going through the scanner.
I think it will very much depend on the airport. If I were to get the SSSS I would definitely ask the TSA agent who scans your ID or boarding pass what you should do. You might also ask the airline agent who checks you in if they know the right procedure that perhaps will save the unnecessary step of waiting in line just to get pulled out. Great question!!
If you’re designated a SSSS passenger, you shouldn’t be able to get an online boarding pass. The airline’s website should refer you to a ticket agent for a boarding pass.
If you take off your shoes while you're in your plane seat, always wear socks. That ain't water on the wet bathroom floors and that stuff is tracked onto the aisles as people walk in/out of those bathrooms.
I don't want airplane crud on socks either. I wear soled footwear any time my feet are on the floor outside homes of my family or friends who are Asian.
While I am listening to rules about airport security and how to behave or what to answer, I do not know how it is possible I never even paid attention to such details. I flew a lot for my work for 25 to 30 years. I was young and everything was just fun. I lived in 4 different European countries. I flew or took a train from country to country and flew across the Atlantic several times both for work and on holidays. Earlier here in Europe, we used to have both passport controls and security. Now that we are members of the European Union, passports are often not required at all. You just walk through. Only once, upon arrival to New York, the passport control officer got upset seeing me wave my hand to a friend, who was standing further down a corridor behind him. This friend worked at the airport and thought it was a polite idea to welcome me. The officer gave me a lecture about listening and luckily let me go. There seems to be a slight difference in how a person gets treated by passport officers. This is my own opinion. Showing a passport of a neutral and stable Scandinavian country does not make alarm bells ring. These days the world is a more dangerous place and the more security we have, the better it is.
... but they seem to target gentle, compliant people and give the aggressors a pass. I have been flagged, Xrayed, groped, etc., ever since I gave the JTTF the benefit of my research on terrorists, mostly from the psychological point of view. They thanked me by putting me on the 4S list and playing stupid games like offering a coca cola so they could get my prints on the can...Puerile games! I totally over estimated them... they didn't appear to know the difference between an illegal alien and an organised terrorist cell. Or perhaps they did not want to know. The last "silly game" was at Newark...first a very sweet young TSA agent said "it's a random check..." and I laughed and said, "not the sixth time in a row..." She smiled sheepishly...however at the grope and grab and irradiate area, I went through the "sterility" machine and the aggressive female at the other side showed me an Xray with what appeared to be a colostomy bag and said it was mine...and I said no flaming way...but she got her "jollies" with the oul' grab and grope and I left harassment USA... Not holding my breath for an apology or "congressional medal of honor" or anything...but is this security or social conditioning?
Nice video, I love your content. 👍 By the way, there is no such thing as a "TSA-approved" liquids bag. The TSA don't have any approval or certification process they go through. A liquids bag might be considered TSA "compliant" but it cannot be referred to as "approved". P.S. Your liquids bag doesn't comply because it is way too big for a quart. 🙂
@@jackiecox7479 recommended packing all liquids, gels, and aerosols that are over 3.4 oz or 100 ml in your checked baggage, even if they are in a secure, tamper-evident bag. Liquids more than 3.4 oz or 100 ml not in a secure, tamper-evident bag must be packed in checked baggage.
I used TSA Cares in Memphis. They were great. I also did my research to be prepared since I haven't flown in years. Ice goes through Tsa. Freeze a half full water bottle and use a water fountain after screening.
Inconsistencies in TSA checkpoints! Departure TSA allowed my portable "BLENDJET" blender. Its a blender! It has blender blades. They are inside a blender bottle with a lid. The whole thing was inside a zipped insulated case. PERMITTED after exam by TSA agent. RETURN trip... TSA pulled it to examine it. Agent decided it was NOT approved. She said i could leave it or go check it and go back through . OR mail it for $29. I mailed it. She was RUDE. I told her it was ok'd before but she wouldn't hear it. "Don't bring it! Use a blender bottle with a ball" duh.. it's for frozen drinks. I'll just have to CHECK it in the future!
Use your jacket pocket to store your stuff from your pant pocket including your wallet and watch in the bin. It keeps sticky fingers from giving themselves a gift.
OMG Paris. I was doing a layover in Pari and I had my drink left over from an air France flight and even though I did not leave the airport for some reason I still had to go through screening and they made me toss it.
@@GenxGypsy1968 You get to the airport and check in with the airline. Now what? You go thru the Global Entry line. Is this correct? ONe you go thru the Global Entry line, do you go thru security check? At what point do they check your passport? I've seen many videos on how to apply and what happens during that process. Thank you!!! :)
@@EricOnRUclips ohh and dong go thru global entry line if u don’t have that I’d ! Global entry and precheck are different ! If ur flying internationally they check ur passport at ticket counter , tsa will scan either id or passport then they might at the gate
I haven’t traveled overseas in about 10 and a half years and haven’t traveled out of my local Raleigh Durham area since September 2019 or right before the pandemic 😷.
Here’s another tip - don’t bring a wine opener with an included foil cutter! Learned that the hard way last week 🤦♀️ Luckily it was a dollar store purchase, but felt like such a dummy bringing something with a knife (even if dull and barely functioning) on an airplane. 😝 You mentioned the security may not check your ID but only your boarding pass. Did you mean to reserve that? Cleveland Hopkins recently has only been checking IDs but not my boarding pass. I needed both from my returning airports.
There is no excuse for the abusive TSA agent! Screaming and yelling passengers is unprofessional and unacceptable. I think most of them work at O''hare and Heathrow!
I keep a straight face! Saying a few choice words silently! When I get pulled over I then go into sloughs mode! Because at that point I don’t give a crap, everything in this vid I follow, travel at least 5 times per year, I’m over it!
I keep my purse in my tote bag thru security.take out liquid bag if necessary. Check in for your flt 24 ahead. Otherwise airlines might give away your seat! To me. Retired flight attendant flys standby, taking seat if u dont are too late for flt or if u miss flt.
Richardson..you can check in on u computer. But u must go to counter, show passport, check in and get boarding pass for security.not in all cases, though.some countries have different systems
I have a new knee replacement! The Doctor said I wouldn’t have a problem with bringing patted down at airports! My first flight, I got patted down. The wonderful DEN TSA agent told me next time go through the standup scanners not the walk through. On the way home no problem.
Dog or cat? Do as much research as you can in advance, for your airline. Each airline will have slightly different “rules,” and it’s up to you to know what they are. I flew with my son’s cat a few years ago. Make sure your airline allows in cabin pets, and if they do, make your reservation as far in advance as possible (there are limits to how many pets can fly on any particular plane). Be sure your pet’s carrier is the right size. Check out the airports you will be flying through - many of them now have “doggy relief” areas (but carry baggies and wipes, just in case🥰). Check to see if you need special paperwork for your pet, such as a health certificate or proof of vaccinations. Etc, etc, etc. With my son’s cat, I asked for a “private screening” so I didn’t have to take him out of the carrier for security (they took me to an enclosed room to take him out, then they scanned the carrier separately). I only did that because cats can be an escape risk, but it might not be necessary for a pup. Take a deep breath - you will be fine. Oh, and check with your vet before you give any medications.
As a highmasking autistic preparing for her 1st international flight, I'm glad the Cares program was mentioned. Of coures I'm going to use it, and probably message TSA a bunch of questions closer to my departure😅. Is it possible to fill your waterbottle with unchilled water on the otherside of security (unfortunately drinking fountains usually have ice cold water😢)? Is an empthy thermos style water bottle less advisable (I could keep the lid detatched to demonstrate it's empty)?
I just flew on British Air. I printed out my boarding pass at home to save time at the airport. Also, they did not accept my boarding pass, they redid everything.. I pre check but it does not work at any airports outside of the US. Heathrow airport in London! Oh my!! What a process! This is only at security…I didn’t have to go through customs….
This is a great question... and I don't really have a great answer. I personally almost never carry my meds in their containers because I already have them divided out in my daily pill case. But, I know there are some countries that are super strict about certain drugs, like HRT and anxiety prescriptions. I think its one of those things where you just need to do the research, and if it looks like it could cause a problem, make sure to bring the containers. Sorry for the non-answer!!😊
@@GenxGypsy1968 Thanks, that helps! For sure when I go to Europe I will probably take original containers, ugh. Like you I like to divide out my daily pills and vitamins for easy packing and use. Needs must though!
I have diabetes and take several meds and allergy that requires me to have EPI pens so I travel with my pill case and take photos of my bottles. I’ve not had any issues (yet) and travel often, most recently to the UK.
TSA Cares is ridiculous, as a disabled patient who has traveled a lot and with implants, they either don’t show up or still don’t care about how handling you. I was bloodied one time from rough treatment.
I keep my watch and rings in one of the pouches before I leave my apartment before heading to the airport to save time while there and not wear them again until I clear security first.
At 17:41, you point to the corner of the screen to indicate a video about how you pack your personal item, but no graphic or text appears in the corner.
I don't worry about being screened. I feel that they are just doing their job. I follow all of their instructions. I say, "Yes, no, thank you & have a good day." I wear slip-on shoes, jeans, and a top with no writing on it. I think I'm a good traveler. I also buy food or drinks once I've passed through security, & I usually only have my pocketbook to carry on. I try not to add on to the extra weight that others bring on the plane.
What about a metal cane? I need a cane to walk plus I have an implanted stimulator I have a card from the manufacturer pulse I have a metal and cow Aortic Valve pulse I have 8 Metallic Heart Stents.?
When I worked for TSA, every lane had a wooden cane for passengers who needed to put their cane through the X-ray. You should not gov through a metal detector. Elect for the scanner or pat down and let the officer know about your medical devices.
@@constancepullen810 I have my diabetic bag. A larger clear toiletries bag. All my things go in there. I have my back up pump supplies, sensors, extra finger sticker, glucose gels, glucagon shots, syringes and pen tips (back ups if my pump decides to break) and extra batteries for everything. When I tell them the sensors can’t go through scanner I just hand them that bag. The cares helper usually opens the bag swabs a few things tests and I’m good to go
I use a CGM and did not use TSA cares. Sensors didn't need to be hand checked when I flew the end of May 2024. I told them about my insulin pens, and they didn't seem to care at all about them or my CPAP. I had a medical tag on each bag.
I put my prescription pills in the day pill pacs....So to save room in not packing all the pill bottles...I take pictures of my pill bottles, I make sure to get dr.,dates, name of medications and my name in picture...I have never had a problem..but will be soon flying in and out of London...I will f course double check...but will this be acceptable...Also I use dry shampoo and hair spray....small airesol cans...Will this be okay
I honestly do not know - so much of it seems arbitrary, but I would never ever bring aerosol cans into the cabin nor would I pack them in the boarded luggage.

Good job mama. Please so how do i know the amount of liquids and hair gel i should take or whether is not allowed or not to europe at the airport check in please?
Going through TSA in France I got flagged and sent to a room with other people, I didn’t have anything in my pockets nor did I have my purse (it was in my personal carryon, which passed the scanner with no problems) when it was my turn, they asked me to take my shoes off (flats) and when they saw my itty bitty no show socks that are pretty much held by my toes and heel dangling, we were all laughing and I was sent thru no problems.🤷🏻♀️😂
This was the exact video I needed. Ty! Im not much of a traveller and I am moving to another province (from canada ON to BC) I bought some expensive fragrances both are 50ml each in a glass bottle in a box. Would you recommend I put both the fragrances in my personal bag?
When she rolled her eyes & said while packing “questionable” items… 👀 I wonder if she was talking about the new Super-powered Rabbit 3X (adult toy) 🤣🍵💀
I had some anti itch cream on my hands once because I was allergic to something and I had hives. Well, the cream on my hands made their machines go nuts. Even though I was TSA precheck, I was delayed for at least 30 minutes. It was a nightmare! They later apologized but I was so pissed off.
Yes. I have been doing that for many years. It is great to keep snacks like grapes cool and to put on my neck if the plane is hot while waiting for take off. I always tell the agents, but they don't seem to care even if it is slightly melted. I usually drink the few drops if it has melted a little before going through.
Mistake i made was having my contact case in my back pants pocket. So, i did pull it out but then getting my carry on and computer, i ended up losing it.
I see lots of people who put fragile stickers on their checked in luggage. The stickers themselves are fine. However, I would still absolutely make sure anything that is fragile is very well packed and secure as the stickers are no guarantee your bags will be handled gently, unfortunately. Hope you have an amazing time in South Africa, I bet December is going to be an awesome time to be there 😊
In the past three months, TSA has requested that tablets such as iPads be taken out of your carry-on, and treated as they’ve been treating laptops: they are to be placed in a tray for a trip through the X-ray machine.
Maybe it's my PC but even with my volume turned up full the sound level was lower than usual. Perhaps you could turn up your microphone - I wonder if anyone else had a problem with the sound. Anyway loved your post as usual - full of such useful info.
That's so weird! I've listened/ watched on my computer, phone and TV, plus my Mom has watched on her computer, and none of them have had an audio issues. Not sure what was different with this video??
I looked up the TSA cares program and fyi they will expect a tip~ sigh another tip ~ I guess I'll just tough it out next time and take a small dose of my anxiety medication
Don’t stand right at where the bins come out. Step a bit down so other people can get past the scanner. It blocks the people and all the rest of the bins from coming out. A man was reaching into the scanner to pull his bins and grabbing his items right at the panel blocking people from doing so. It was rude and took 😮him longer since he was fighting with the panel as he put things in is pockets.
On my last trip I checked my pockets took everything out and I was beeping turns out I had a dime stuck in a corner . I was thoroughly searched even my hands scanned will not have anything in my pocket next time
Do I need to bring all my medicine in its bottles, or can I bring my medicine counter with me instead? I will be traveling for five days and the counter goes for a week.

And yes, the best course of action is to be aware of instructions, because more often than not they are going to be different from airport to airport 😊
great idea! i am doing that next time i fly!
I don't pack any toiletries. I buy them at the grocery store at my destination. My hotel usually has shampoo and soap.
That is exactly my predicament because of ASD
This would be great situation to reach out to TSA Cares to get assistance for going through the security line. These are some of the specific reasons why they created the program 😊
You can get buttons that say, I'm hard of hearing. Idk I'd they work, but they're available.
Or there’s a language barrier
I experienced that recently at O'hare. A very abusive and unprofessional TSA agent! Unacceptable behavior!
So why do they pull you if you are doing everything right? It is my first time flying overseas.
Age 70 here - me too ! 3 out of 5 times got extra screened - they say random but why me ???
Maybe the age? They may want to talk with you to check whether you are physically stable and are traveling on your own free will. Some senior citizens are stepping into vulnerable state at age of 60 and up, so that's my guess.
@@Kezendia - not sure. I travel alone for work and pleasure and am usually in business attire. I am 62 but look 50. Work out 3 times a week, no grey hair and am definitely not frail. They never speak to me either. Nothing past please step out of line for additional screening. It is a mystery.
Oh ok, thank you. I havent flown internationally before so I am trying to learn as much possible. These TSA people seem quite scary. @@Kezendia
Good point! This could be a good opportunity to reach out to TSA cares to assist you through the security line. 😊
That's so embarrassing!! I didn't think of that !! What do you do if your period is super heavy like mine used to be !! 😅
I have learned to wait to put my “incontinence pad” on after security.
Try the underwear instead
@@karenhenry5806Isn't that what they mean by panties? Panties aren't pads.
Great video as a reminder for those who do travel and especially for newbies. I have a cousin who hasn't flown since before 911 and we are going to travel to Alaska in May. This video will be extremely helpful to her.
Just got back from Alaska & it was so beautiful & skiing ⛷️ is available now😜
I haven't traveled after 911 and I'm going to Mexico and I'm so nervous there's so many does and don't that are so confusing. I am also hard of hearing so even worse. Praying for a smooth day the day of traveling.
I'm flying next year. The last time I've flown was as a kid in 96😅
#15. These agents are at work. I may smile and say thank you after I get through the screening, but I let them work.
I have Precheck, but I always say hi and tell them I am watching you to direct me. Never had a problem.
Good to know!! 😊
Same at O'hare! A major cf! With very abusive and unprofessional TSA agents.
So I guess you just hold up the line then?
Agent/officer/ thief. I have had my share. Tsa has taught me some things.
Good video
ALSO, all electronics you bring MUST be charged, if they ask, you must be able to turn it on.
Who knew? Thanks for sharing.
That is if your additional screening ssss status
Wow!
The current wait for a particular TSA line is often not what is reported. In my experience, it usually takes more time than listed.
Very good points. Nothing in the pocket.
@@GenxGypsy1968😊
If you take off your shoes while you're in your plane seat, always wear socks. That ain't water on the wet bathroom floors and that stuff is tracked onto the aisles as people walk in/out of those bathrooms.
I don't want airplane crud on socks either. I wear soled footwear any time my feet are on the floor outside homes of my family or friends who are Asian.
This is the most perfect airport video I’ve seen. No suggestions here for once.
My husband has been asked why he is not wearing a belt going through TSA. Anything out of the ordinary draws attention.
For crying out loud!
Can I put liquids in my checked bag? Is this rule only for carryon?

I mailed it. She was RUDE.
I told her it was ok'd before but she wouldn't hear it.

OMG Paris. I was doing a layover in Pari and I had my drink left over from an air France flight and even though I did not leave the airport for some reason I still had to go through screening and they made me toss it.

Here’s another tip - don’t bring a wine opener with an included foil cutter! Learned that the hard way last week 🤦♀️ Luckily it was a dollar store purchase, but felt like such a dummy bringing something with a knife (even if dull and barely functioning) on an airplane. 😝
You mentioned the security may not check your ID but only your boarding pass. Did you mean to reserve that? Cleveland Hopkins recently has only been checking IDs but not my boarding pass. I needed both from my returning airports.

I’m flying with my pet for the first time to new Mexico and I’m extremely nervous.
Do you think meds MUST be in pharmacy labeled containers?

At 17:41, you point to the corner of the screen to indicate a video about how you pack your personal item, but no graphic or text appears in the corner.
You can also freeze your water beforehand. I guess just sip the part that melts along the way.
I always do that and tell the agent. Never had a problem and the cold bottle is helpful when the plane is hot.

I use my passport no matter where i am flying, and if you have precheck you dont need to show your boarding pass to tsa.
I was told you can freeze the water bottle and take it through TSA checkpoint. Is this correct?
Yes. I have been doing that for many years. It is great to keep snacks like grapes cool and to put on my neck if the plane is hot while waiting for take off. I always tell the agents, but they don't seem to care even if it is slightly melted. I usually drink the few drops if it has melted a little before going through.

I DO wear a belt to the airport and I don't mind taking it off to get scanned. I just hope my pants don't fall down as I walk through the scanner. :D
On my last trip I checked my pockets took everything out and I was beeping turns out I had a dime stuck in a corner . I was thoroughly searched even my hands scanned will not have anything in my pocket next time
For TSA Cares does anymore know if I still have to wait my turn in the long line ...or just go straight?
Do I need to bring all my medicine in its bottles, or can I bring my medicine counter with me instead? I will be traveling for five days and the counter goes for a week.
